Isn't the music like baked into the code or something along those line? I think this game did some next level stuff with contextual music so that may be the case.
Holy this is so good. Kyle how come you have not yet give Ozar Midrashim a go? I feel you could finaly be that one guy, who would fill this gap perfectly, others tried but its always leaving a feeling that something is missing.
Hey there! Ah, thank you so much for your kind words.. really glad you've enjoyed some of these renditions! Have something exciting coming up October 31st! Though.. its not the Ozar Midrashim.. at least not yet ahah)) So the thing is that my dream is to revisit all of the tracks from Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2 (Blood Omen OST is already done), and I wanted to save the best for the last.. I'm around 12 tracks in with SR1 soundtrack, so I'm getting very close with that one, and I plan for the last track from the re-visited soundtrack to be Ozar Midrasim 🔥 After that I'll transition into SR2! I really wish I could remake them sooner, but due to my goal of continuing working as full time as composer for games, the progress is slower. But all in due time 💪
@@KyleMisko take your time brother. Nice to know that it is coming. I have heard few of those SR1 tracks back few years ago, now I remembered and checked that you have some new tracks. Your style of remaking these songs is the most fitting to original feeling, the way you twist them sounds I love it 😁 Can’t wait for Ozar Midrashim but don’t let any pressure get on your shoulders, take your time and pour your heart into it 👌🏻
Truly grateful for the kind words.. it has been a crazy journey you know.. I've got this idea while I lived in NYC between 2015-2019, and it was fall of 2015 and I was listening to SR2 soundtrack while on a walk and this idea came to my mind of remaking the music and I remember coming back home and starting to work on SR2 Ariel's Lament, which was the very first revisit I ever published.. I was like 19 at the time, and as years went by I started to improve as a composer, so did these revisits. You can almost follow progress of earlier to tracks -> to more recent tracks (from "Underworld" in 2016 to Drowned Abbey from 2021 and Sunlight Glyph from 2022 and everything in between) It also shaped my dark soundtrack production in general! I think you will enjoy my recent project Tower of Sins: ruclips.net/video/eU_qFFXMyc0/видео.htmlsi=Yy_YX-LRcMIxV7_A I have 2 more tracks coming up from that soundtrack that should be really cool! Check it out if you get around to it! And yeh! Stay tuned for more LoK stuff! It might take time, but this game is one of my biggest passions, so I'll definitely follow my dreams through 💪💪
@@KyleMisko yeah I can see the progression of your skills, now that you shine the light on it I think it’s a good idea to leave Ozar Midrashim for the very end to use everything you learned on this journey and implement into the final project :) I kind of do the same with my current project here on youtube when it comes to sfx and video edit. But the whole point is to enjoy the journey instead of being impatient for the final result. Along these years I signed about 5 petitions for resurrection of LoK series and remakes of SR. So it seems it will finally come, at least the signs are there. Keep doing those revisits and Im sure when the info about remaking the series will come to light, you will gain a whole lot more attention and perhaps we, fans would even petition for you to be the main music guy 😁 Im up for it 👌🏻 I will check your other soundtrack now 👍🏼
@@sunrisemonk Ahh, that will be totally amazing if that happens.. I reached out to Denis Dyack regarding working on Deadheads Sonata, but didn't really have any luck :(( So yeh, if its a petition of sorts - that will be so ultra cool, it will also give me more leverage since triple A companies usually have a 1000 people in mind before reaching out to people online.. but cheers for that opportunity to happen 🍻 I'll be more than happy to audition with my tracks! And that's super cool you're doing sfx and video editing! I'll check out some of your stuff too 🔥 And precisely my point on Ozar track! Its a really tough one, and I want to get it right, so more time will only benefit for that to happen Stay tuned 🔥🔥🔥
Wishing you well and fulfilment. If I was musically skilled, re-creating music from something like LoK or other games dear to my heart would also be a goal. I look forward to what you’ll make next!
My favorite son, Rahab! 😃
Dark Gothic rules. I really miss Nosgoth. Hail my LoK Brethren!
Christmas came early this year!
GRAZIE KYLE. You can't imagine how happy and inspired you make me!
This is just the perfection! Thx for your work dude!
awesome as usual!.. such a nice halloween treat :)
What a shame I didn’t discover these sooner
Masterful as always... Great job my friend 👏
I wonder if you are gonna revisit the Soul Reaver 2 soundtrack...
This is the jam!
Fantastic
More Soul Reaver
Someone should make a mod that swaps the OG game's OST with Kyle Misko's soundtrack.

Currently it's possible with Wrace Patch
@@MsULTIMATEMAX Not worth playing the Wrace patch and getting those ugly yellow achievements all the time, even for this gorgeous music.
@@wareforcoin5780 You can disable achievements but the music still not same that PS1 version
omg this is huge, I want this to continue using your soundtrack as well
