Don’t knock the side of the portafilter after doing all that careful puck prep. It doesn’t do any good and can cause cracks in the puck and can cause the puck to come away from the edge of the basket, leading to channeling. Once you’ve tamped you’re done :)

I know that this is hobby for some, relax etc., but 9 minutes to make 1 coffee means 30minutes for coffee for me and two friends... So many unnecessary things, double WDT, double dose instead all at once, cleanup of every last piece of coffee from the basket, then putting in a filter and then cleanup again. But it's a therapy for some so I understand why some people do it the long way. Hope you have a good day and excellent coffee ;) ☕

Yeah, some days I actually feel that it takes too long. Today a cappuccino took around 30 sec extraction time and with milk in total 45 sec. Add weighing the beans and preparing and cleaning around 2min. It can go faster of course. Also when recording video, it is a bit slow motion cause some just want to see it in a slower pace and also “therapy “ 😅
But hey. Next time I’ll remove all unnecessary stuff and just dive into the espresso.
Last weekend my wife invited friends over for the first time and all wanted coffee drinks. That was a wake-up call” cause I’m not used to making back to back drinks. After that I have been changing a bit of mindset of how to prepare for next drink when doing back to back drinks/coffee (more like irl cafeterias) and it is a bit appealing to me to be able to learn that too.
Thanks for being honest in a way that is not rude 🙏🏻. I don’t make many videos anymore but this gives me a bit of inspiration of maybe doing one without any “nonsense “😂😉. I’ll let you know !
      Have a nice day !

I was thinking of buying that machine, but it seems like it takes over a minute (72 seconds) to froth the milk? How much milk was it? I haven't timed it, but I'm quite sure my old Gaggia Classic makes 260 ml milk in about 45 seconds.

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  Год назад

It actually depends on when you trigger the heater to pump up the pressure for the steam . Either that or you set to to
“Standard HX feature” so it is steam ready all the time.
This particular moment I really don’t remember the amount of milk.
I can definitely do it faster than my old gaggia if I want… I could do the coffee and steam at the same time if I want and be ready with the milk just a few seconds after the coffee is done.
Bor du i Sverige ? Tänkte på namnet 😊

I have the Mara X as well and personally it only takes maybe 30ish seconds I believe to steam milk for my lattes - that depends on how hot you want it though. I only take mine to just above 55° C so it doesn’t take as long

@@matanbenmoshe91 as Long as you know how long it takes for it to build the pressure it is fine. If you will do back to back drinks I’d go with steam mode instead.
Also, if you set the temperature to higher the pressure needs less time to reach correct temperature.
It all depedepends on how many drinks you do.

It is so relaxing to watch this professional atitude. However I would have one important note - Espresso is getting spoiled very fast and the quallity is dropping down dramatically even in 1-2 minutes of laying. It was made for fast drink (some of italians says 3 minutes top) as its name said us as well. In this case (3minutes) your espresso was "dead" and that is huge shame regarding very professinal preparing (time, volume, grinding..). So do not make it before you steaming your milk. Do it in opossite way. Steamed milk will not ruin if you just keep twisting a little durring extraction. Thanks for sharing!

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  Год назад

Thanks man for your kind words and I agree that I shouldn’t let the coffee be for such a long time. Having said that there are quite a few forums regarding if it really makes a difference. The positive thing when making the milk at the same time is of course also that the temperature is the same as when brewed and the overall workflow is actually nicer when being finished with milk and coffee almost at the same time.
I actually do that as well now more often. The video making distracts me sometimes 😅 . At the moment I’m trying to figure out a better way distributing the coffee. Some beans are really hard to handle the grinder tend not to grind the coffee as fluffy as normal… beans that are more oily on the outside are harder than more dried beans.
Sometimes I go crazy when trying different settings😅
But I have to give the grinder some love. I have yet not cleaned it in over 2 years since I bought it . Have a good day ✌🏻

How do you make your coffee? Do you have a lot of guests over that you make coffee for?
Many people get anxious concerning the speed of the frothing or other stuff that has to to with making coffee fast. This is an art” and therapy “ session for me every time I wake up . Meaning that you should enjoy the work flow routine. But! I like to set a standard, if the machine is able to have the milk ready at the same time as the shot… then that is ok I think. So , sometimes I have extractions between 30-40 seconds and then they are finished about the same time.
I’ve had it too long without cleaning with detergent (the wand) so I think I’ll do it right away.
As for how many back to back cappuccinos.. I haven’t tried it. There are videos of a guy that is way more experienced than me that shows this with the Mara x. I can try to find the link if you haven’t seen it already?
