"It's the repetition that makes hell so sweet...." love that part at the end. For me, it helped make for a solid ending

That looked like PTSD, from hell! His twisted mind had to blame someone for his terrible deeds. Was it really a demon there for his soul, or his own tragic past catching up with him?? Great video!

Absolutely brilliant short. It was amazing. The guy is dead I think, no one gets hurt other than in his own mind. The atrocities he carried out were remembered, he will continue to live that night for eternity. Astounding.
Actually, he's not living it for eternity in a sense - He's always forgetting every time the cycle repeats. Just imagine that your today has been repeated infinitely but you don't know. Does it makes any difference? And even if you were to remember, under the constant grinding, you would just either become broken by it, or you would become indifferent to those illusions once you accept what you've done or because you were seeing it long enough.
Holy freaking hell this is an INCREDIBLE short film!! Gave me chills throughout the whole thing.
Often, seeing loved ones in pain hurts more than pain happening to oneself. Seeing his family in pain over and over, after every candle, is his own personal version of repeating hell. If the torture scenario were real, it wouldn't be able to be repeatable - this is how you can tell it's all in the mind.
Demons, psychopaths and narcissists...when it comes to narcissists and psychopaths, the demons always make them lose. They do this to remind us they are not toys...

Erwin van den Eshof, you my man are a fucking genius. That was definitely one HELLISH TALE. I've rewatched this film several times because it's so good. Demon of Rot is still the most awesome, disgusting creature I've seen. Phenomenal ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It takes a lot of work, motivation, thought and courage to do so. Ive watched many, many & many short horror films and I have to say yours is at the top of the list. This is one truly amazing story I think it should be filled with awards.

The Vietnamese guy was basically cursing at the main character in that flashback and ouch.

GradKat actually I did 4 tours in Iraq and I found this short compelling. The short is about humanity. Look beyond the gore and look at the message.

Probably one of the best short horror films ever !
I watched the movie 3 times. If you notice, Harry has blood on his chin in the beginning just like in the end. And the last scene completely repeats the second. Therefore, he survives this torture over and over again. That's why his daughter says "it's the repetition that makes Hell so sweet".
Also, it can be seen as the allegory for the crimes the USA made in Vietnam and other countries, and people choose to forget about them. "Their mind is bent".

I do not normally comment on videos. But this short film was among the best if not the best thing I have seen in a long time. The folks who made this need to put out a full length film. If it is any thing like this? I would pay to see it. 2 thumbs up.

Wow....hell is real...we only take the deeds we do, we take what we do...it's my way to live. Give and help....it's hard to not retaliate when we are do e wrong, but I'm a true believer in Jesus Christ, and I live every day helping others...even when I don't have for myself. It sucked s me to turn away from thouse in need bcs we don't know what happened to them , and when we can be in that position. This movie .....it's gruesome, harsh, but real. Thank you for posting. Maybe this short film will touch thouse people who seek gratification in hurting others.

Those actors must have had a ball doing that. I was watching this in Starbucks. When the son started to eat his hand, i had to change the screen😂😂😂. Great story. The Boogie Man is a mystery character. How did he get his job? I was hoping the soul of the fetus would pop up too.

The stream of consciousness of the protagonist...Indeed, a great movie.
Death is indeed scary af, but damn seeing your love ones suffer in front of you over and over again is horrific. His punishment is to relive his happiest moment in life and watch it turn into a living nightmare. Maybe this is an example of how hell works for someone who committed such sins.

Well! This was pretty gross, creepy, but SO well done! Turned out untruthful Harry Doright didn't "Do Right" after all and was stuck in "Mortal Limbo"! Such a funny name...Harry Doright😅! Man, so many jokes with that name! Anyway, I absolutely loved the ryhme written for the nightmarish Soul Eater, and LOL.. the long and double breathe it did in the beginning, cracked me up! Hat off to the screenwriter! Great scary work, I loved this!

Okay, so what I like most about this is the abrupt twist ending-- if we accept it as being indicative of the classical depiction of Hell (a chance of redemption, NOT just eternal punishment) then Harry has just been given a chance to tell his family the truth.
Hell was never originally described as a place purely for punishment; but the punishment served the purpose of working toward redemption. Thus Harry's soul CAN be redeemed if he tells his the family about what happened in Vietnam.
