No. She only played two roles: the "timid wife" known as "Lily" and the "ghost behind the walls" were both played by Bel Deliá. The "wife at the end" is played by Jennifer Van Heeckeren.

Scratching behind the walls is such a good physical representation of pent up emotions/issues
What I get from the film is no matter how much u "medicate" a situation, when some things bothering u from the core it never goes away until u confront it

I’m pretty sure this short is about depersonalization that often comes with an abusive relationship. Whenever he does something that hurts her she takes pills to forget about it, and just pretends that everything is normal so as not to upset that guy.
And I believe the scratching sounds represented that nagging feeling/instinct that this was a bad situation which could get a lot worse. But instead of listening to it she took the pills to help her ignore it.
Or maybe don't overthink it. Not every thing needs to be some sort of deep psychological horror weirdness.

No, it's far from unique. Look up the EC Comics from the 50s - they were full of moralistic horror.
Man, that was good. It didn't go quite where I expected it to go. Sometimes these are high on production values but low on decent writing or acting, but this had everything.

Loved the 50s vibe and decor. Stories that have an understandable end are much more satisfying than writers trying to be too sophisticated.
Her searching for her pills, triggered a memory of how I used to take pain killers all day long to fill the void of happiness cuz of my husband not being there. thank god I've been clean for 4 n half yrs. And I'm happily married still now for 20 yrs, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my hubby n I probably wouldn't of quit either.

That first comment was a bit of a cheap shot, but all in all I think your attack is a little overboard, especially concerning the second comment. You actually come off as more petty and bitter than they do. This is not meant as an attack. I just know that often the way we come off is far from where we are at in reality. The only way to know how we come off to others is for someone to tell us. It sounds like you see being bitter and being petty as very negetive traits, so I just thought I would take a second to give you a head's up, in case you want to make sure you are not inadvertently sending those type vibes in your own personal life, as you interact with others.

I think the husband is a serial wife killer. The spirit of the murdered wife gets trapped in the walls of the house she was basically imprisoned in as a house wife. Unbeknownst to the main character, the spirit of the husband's previous murder victim swapped places with her to get revenge, only to be murdered again. Leaving the main character in the same position as the evil vengeful spirit in the walls, watching and waiting to exact revenge on the murderous husband by taking over his new wife's body

This was so beautifully filmed/performed and edited. Poor woman, my heart broke for her. It's terrible she was killed, I was hoping the cheating, abusive husband would be the one to go. This definitely reminds me of The Yellow Wallpaper.

I've noticed that a lot of horror shorts that I've been watching lately seem to be about mental illness in one form or another. I suppose what could be scarier than a whole other self/entity that is you... but darker. The pills will only keep the voices at bay for so long and then add in a supernatural twist and. shudder. Bastard got what he deserved in the end though 🤗

Why are the spooky ghost versions of people in horror always so much more confident in themselves? Maybe being dead is like super sick
I think the story can be interpreted in many ways, 1950s woman with a chauvinistic husband, trapped in an unhappy existense the only way out was the pills, and the pills showed her the reality in a way like a schizo seeing the reality but the pills change that reality to another inner self. Other side of the wall is the inner self watching things from a distance and loosing the connection with the reality, shall I go on? 😂😂😂

@@judysternwell5696 Sorry in advance, I'm not a native speaker of English. I thought that she might have already been dead and her restless soul might have remembered the way she died. Her husband had been cheating on her and treating her badly (in my eyes he was a typical malign narcissist or sociopath). She was trapped in this marriage (as are many women who are married to a man with a malign personality disorder) and tried to compensate with meds and alcohol. After killing his wife, "the next" moved in and they lived their life as a "happy" couple as if his wife had never existed. :-( In the end her restless soul realised what really happened and she might want to take revenge.

Fantastic short! 👍👍Great acting and interesting story. The parts where her doppelganger came out of the wall and where the husband killed the doppelganger- didn't see those coming at all. Nice twists! Plus, I really hope the husband gets what he deserves.

I really love this movie it was very good had me wondering at times but I think she felt empathy for the woman he killed. She now knows the truth and it's interesting to wonder what she will do with it

This one reminds me the that movie "MOTHER" where the woman was the perfect WIFE & no matter what she did for the man... It was NEVER GOOD ENOUGH! that he literally ran all his relationships into the ground they burned completely down... And he would just start over each time with someone new... Same situation, same ending, different faces...

When she couldn't handle life her medicated self came out to handle life for her. Her husband didn't love her so he killed her. Her medicated self, now dead, she could see clearly what power she had, and what she has to do to regain her life.
The scariest part of an addicts day is finding out there is no more substance to abuse, no matter what it is and trying to find it can make you go mad...

He was killing her a little & a lot everyday anyway. Have you ever studied the story behind the Hero myth? A Hero always has to die in some way and be reborn; reborn into the Truer Self, The Stronger Self, The Invincible Self/The Hero: She was murdered, she was reborn...and now he & his mistress will die. As a woman who endured THE MOST TOXIC relationship between my early 30's-mid 30's with a man far more whorish & abusive than this 1, I can honestly say that I found this short not only to be deeply cathartic but intensely SATISFYING. AH, Thank You for this SCREAMfeat! ;+)

komalpriyaslk priyaslk Same. All I got is the wife had mental problem that she heard scatching noises, she’s probably taking more meds than she should. The guy seems not love his wife much. One time she found out he was cheating on her and things on her head started again. She’s out of meds, then she drank instead. Things happened after than was unsure if it’s for real or just the effect of med + alcohol, or maybe both. An ‘evil her’ got out and kept her inside the wall. When her husband tried to kill her, he killed the ‘evil’ instead. Not sure if that was evil actually cause apparently it saved her life, so that she could come back for her revenge at the end of vid.
Imo it's about being in a physically, mentally & emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissistic sociopathic husband. The toll it takes on your sanity & self esteem is horrendous. I've been in that kind of relationship & to me it's her getting trapped in that & then wanting vengeance or at least some kind of closure. Then it turns into just torturing him like he tortured her. Very poignant & smart film imo

After watching this, what I understood is, its about a sad story of a wife. Her husband lacks the interest on her, keeps himself busy on work and extra affair.she doesnt have kids, and elders to share anything...later she gets psychotic. Now she is taking the medication for her mental issues. Even after that her husband never cares for her. You can see her two personalities, fights for each other to win over her body. As the medicine effect gets over, the other personality wins over her actual personality. Her one personality traps other personality inside the wall.they keep fighting with each other. Those fights are actually inside her mind. As the body is same, she gets killed by her own husband, and he brings a new women...but her soul is restless...wanting to revenge! And the mark in the wall is the symbol of her restless soul.

This episode of alter reminds me of my great-grandmother and Herrera she was a doll collector she collected very fancy dolls porcelain dolls I still have some to this day had a divided up between all her granddaughters but I was the one who had her very favorites and I still do thanks for uploading it sure feels good to step out of time and go back in time to the old days sincerely Lady Day
