Shea you shared some Military Clothing "maneuvers"!! Lining the buttons of your shirt with your pants button & zipper is called The Gig line. We also line our belts & they have to face the same direction. The cuff is also based on a military cuff. Only we fold the top part back over- it creates a clean look. The Belt & sweater trick you used is called "blousing" , we actually have velcro blousing straps for different uses. Military Men have shirt suspenders that they wear under their pants that attach their shirts to their socks to keep them tucked in & professional looking! Yep, You nailed the Military Tricks & didn't even realize it!!
Great suggestions! When I'm in a store , I take a full hand of the material, and make a fist, hold it for a few seconds and release. It's a great test to see if the item is going to wrinkle!
People have mentioned it before, but maybe bring some guests or show ideas of how to style things for different body types because what looks good on you... will not necessarily look good on other body types. And I know there are sooo many different types it’s hard to do them all but I think it would be awesome!😁
Arellano Vega great idea...bc since my second child I just haven’t been able to get back to my normal weight and yes it looks good on her body type but definitely not mine
What I noticed to her is that she is always in this kind of styles in her videos. Tops and pants only, not even combination of other kinds of outfits like skirts, dresses with what kind of footwear and accessories. I’m not bashing her I just noticed it😉
I've noticed that too! A lot of her tips tend to be geared toward her body type. I have a long torso, so tucking shirts in never really work for me because they're usually not long enough for me to do that. A while back she also did a video on dressing for a small bust size. And I totally understand that that's what she knows how to style since that's what she's working with. But wouldn't it be fun if she threw on the larger cup size and stuff them so she could do another video on styling for us DDD ladies? Just putting that out there.
We did all this in the 80s except for the half tucks. As far as the needs to be ironed oxford, it needs to be sprayed with sizing before ironing - stays "crisp"
Trying to work from home... focus focus focus... don’t get distracted.....New Video from Shea... yayyy let’s take a break hahaha love your videos gorgeous!!
Hi Shea, your tip to shorten a jumper reminded me of a tip we used at high school. Instead of the belt and jumper, use a long T-shirt and elastic band tied around your waist and tuck the T-shirt back up into the elastic. You can make all T-shirt cropped.
Leggings, long boots and an oversized light colored sweater can be a great practical Scandinavian look for fall and winter. Add a raincoat or a longer winter jacket, depending on the weather conditions. Add nice hair and a modest make up and nice earrings and you may even look elegant😊 Imagine a single mom who battles the changing weather, takes her kid to kindergarden, runs errands, does groceries, goes to work. She needs to choose the basic look that carries her through the weeks, the seasons as her budget is very small.
That was great! And regarding the wrinkle problem, someone told me once that while you're in the store just wad the material into a ball in your hand. If it wrinkles, you know it will while you're wearing it. Also certain fabrics wrinkle easier, like Linen!
Poplin! If you see the word poplin in a listing or description or a garment, it’ll be wrinkled constantly. It’s the flattest weave so it’s extremely prone to creasing and wrinkles.
Ah so happy your uploads are still happening so consistently! You’ve been keeping me sane in these crazy times! Love you and your videos! ❤️❤️ you’re my favorite 🥰
Love your videos. I just wanted to let you know there is another way to cuff your button down shirts. Roll up you sleeves like you showed and fold the cuff over the rolled part of sleeve.
Lol this is great! My only issue is with the t-shirt knotted through the belt-loop. I envision a night out at a pub where you have to go to the loo, and this becoming an issue if you are in a hurry!
YAY! LOVED your "ways you're wearing shoes wrong" Video and so excited this one came out!! Love all these tips. I use the hair tie tip ALL. THE. TIME. please do more!
I agree 100%. I try to dress as stylish as I can within my budget and body shape. But I'm almost never trendy in my clothes. You could look at pictures of me 20 years ago and I wouldn't be horrified. I know the idea is to maybe have one of two trendy items a season. However, I'm an hourglass shape and many trendy clothes wouldn't look good on my body type anyway. So I don't force a trend if it won't look good on me. Low rise jeans would be obscene on me. So that's a never. I'm glad you posted this for people who might not know the difference.
I’ll remember these for the next time I actually get dressed to go somewhere...like 3 months from now! Sweatpants for the foreseeable future! Ironically though I can’t stop online shopping because the sales are so good.
You are so right about the wrinkled shirts! When I'm shopping, if I see a shirt that has a ton of wrinkles in it and made of a certain fabric (not quite sure what the fabric is), I know that it's going to be one of those shirts that immediately gets wrinkled after I put it on. It doesn't matter if it's the cutest shirt in the world. I know it's going to be more of a headache to wear, so I don't buy it. The same goes for clothes that are made of a material that attracts all sorts of pet hair, lint, and fuzzies. I have cats, so I know that if I were to buy that item, I would be constantly lint rolling myself, so I leave it at the store.
I was totally expecting you to mention your steamer with the wrinkled shirts. 😂 love the knot on the belt loop but I drink a gallon of water a day and that trick is not for me. I am going to try the backwards tuck, that’s a new one. 💗💗💗
ya i'm a little shorter, 5' 8" and it's rare when something is too long on me. Usually its if I take one of my hubbys' shirts because he's 6'4" so his will be long but my own, naa lol
If you have a button up shirt that wrinkles easily like that, try using spray starch when you iron. It will help keep it crisp. Starch is also great for collars and cuffs.
A quick chat about materials to choose would have been helpful when talking about wrinkles. Material and fabric quality of a garment are everything, aside from cut of course.
Thanks!! Your personality is fab ❤ I started doing the knot look on T-shirts with a small rubber band when running and now use this trick for waist enhancement and my favourite color is periwinkle, No deep orchid xx
The knot thing is SO genius!! Thank you so much for these wonderful tips Shea! 😃💕 In a video you were showing us how to wrap the upper waist part of the jeans around our necks to check if the size is right. That was genius too, I always do it when I go and buy new jeans. So a huge thank you 😃
You mentioned the Express White shirt - wondered which style it is? I didn’t see a link for that one. LOVE your video’s. Always look forward to ALL your tips!
Love a video on how to wear booties. Sometimes I feel like I’m wearing the wrong pants with them, like my Zella everyday leggings. Just doesn’t seem to work. Help!
I have a tip! It's simple but I like to make sure my pants are the same color as my booties, black for example, and make sure your pant bottoms are tucked into the bootie, so you want a skinny leg for that. It also works with a more relaxed cut when you roll up the bottoms about an inch above the top of the booties. Both, especially the skinny jeans/leggings really elongate the leg and give a really nice streamlined look! Just thought I'd share😊.
I was thinking of that when I saw it, too. I'm considered skinny by many, but I tried that trick and it worked great, but the hair ties made my arms sore by the end of the day! I might try an elastic headband next time, and double it if needed.
I love all your videos!! I cannot wait for your next video!! Please make more fashion hacks videos!! I have gotten so many complements since i have started using all your hacks!! Thank you!
So trying the belt thing. I have long limbs and tunic type shirts/sweaters make me look like a scarecrow. But I'm dumb so I buy them anyway and tuck them in. Great tip.
Hi Shea! Thx for the tips and tricks. I LOVE your videos. When I served in the military (20+ yrs btw), we called the keeping our shirt and zipper inline a gig line...in other words, we needed to straighten our gig line. Just FYI.🥰
Yayy thank you for addressing my questions on shirts tucking and folding etc perfect timing. Love these vids Ive been trying to look and be my best . Build confidence. I love who I am now and want to reflect it in all ways
I love your videos. I would love to see how to wear tops fashionably to hide or distract from tummy area. Unfortunately I’m not fortunate enough like you are to be able to tuck my clothes in anymore. Help!!!
Great tips Shea!! Love learning new things from you! You rate always so nice about making sure you’re not too pushy, cute really 😁Hope all is well at your house❤️❤️❤️

Arellano Vega great idea...bc since my second child I just haven’t been able to get back to my normal weight and yes it looks good on her body type but definitely not mine
Lol I thought the same! Everything looks good on her type of body..
exactly on my mind
What I noticed to her is that she is always in this kind of styles in her videos. Tops and pants only, not even combination of other kinds of outfits like skirts, dresses with what kind of footwear and accessories. I’m not bashing her I just noticed it😉

Hahaha I love this comment!!! Thank you!!!
The T-shirt back tuck is life changing. I have so many tshirts that I like but that have stretched out. Idk why I never thought of that.
Hi Shea, your tip to shorten a jumper reminded me of a tip we used at high school. Instead of the belt and jumper, use a long T-shirt and elastic band tied around your waist and tuck the T-shirt back up into the elastic. You can make all T-shirt cropped.
Everytime I try this it ends up slowly coming undone throughout the day 😭
Knot through the belt loop. GENIUS!
Omg I know right?!?!?!
Until I am busting to go to the toilet and forget that my shirt is tied to my pants 😂
Lorelene Freeman 😂😂😂😂
Lorelene Freeman omg yes 😂😂🤣🤣

And when us mothers no longer have the body of a pre-teen girl ☹🧐
In these times of not being able to go to bars/ restaurants, get hair/ nails done, or even shop ( gasp) it’s so nice to still have SHEA!!!😀
The tip about knotting the T-shirt through the belt loop is genius!! Love it!!
That was great! And regarding the wrinkle problem, someone told me once that while you're in the store just wad the material into a ball in your hand. If it wrinkles, you know it will while you're wearing it. Also certain fabrics wrinkle easier, like Linen!

when you're 5'3 there's nothing else to do but to tuck, otherwise I'll disappear! 😂
I feel ya! 5'1" in Tennessee 🥺😁
I'm 5'3" too but I look like I'm 5'6" or something and tucking things makes ma ribcage look large af
Yup. Struggle is real.
Omg I feel this comment
In my country 5’3 is above average for women 😅 here the average is said to be around 4’11-5’1. My male coworkers are shorter than me and I’m only 5’5!
I remember watching you show the shirt cuff technique a while back and it’s one of my favorites! All the guys in my life think it’s magic, lol.
Ah so happy your uploads are still happening so consistently! You’ve been keeping me sane in these crazy times! Love you and your videos! ❤️❤️ you’re my favorite 🥰
Thank you so much for saying that Tina...I truly appreciate that!!!
I love the last tip. I bought shirts from Express that seriously never wrinkle as opposed to my forever 21 shirts
I've watched her vlogs a couple of times. Now, I'm subscribing seeing her content has substance.
Clear elastics work great for the sleeve trick.
YAY! LOVED your "ways you're wearing shoes wrong" Video and so excited this one came out!! Love all these tips. I use the hair tie tip ALL. THE. TIME. please do more!
Thank you so much Elana!!! I'm so glad you enjoy these videos!!!
omg where have you been all my life? teach my your ways of fashion!
Sorry but "in style" doesn't mean "trendy". You can be stylish without following any of the trends.
Totally!
Oh thank deity of choice… voice of rationale.
I agree 100%. I try to dress as stylish as I can within my budget and body shape. But I'm almost never trendy in my clothes. You could look at pictures of me 20 years ago and I wouldn't be horrified. Exactly. I hate trends. I wear what I like.
trendy does mean in style.. stylish does not mean trendy or in style.
Buttons aligned with jeans/pants and belts too are important to me. Thanks for the tips. 💕
I’ll remember these for the next time I actually get dressed to go somewhere...like 3 months from now! Sweatpants for the foreseeable future! Ironically though I can’t stop online shopping because the sales are so good.

Whatever she wears look good on her given her body type. Ugh! I love her videos. Very informative.
I was totally expecting you to mention your steamer with the wrinkled shirts. 😂 love the knot on the belt loop but I drink a gallon of water a day and that trick is not for me. I am going to try the backwards tuck, that’s a new one. 💗💗💗
Such great tips! I need to try the belt trick, this could save a lot of sweaters in my closet. So happy to have your content during this time!💕
This cuff correctly has made my day!
2:04 Shea: Your sleeves are too long. Me: *5’10”* What is this length you speak off? 😂
Onyinye Uwolloh I feel yooooou my sister is 5’10” and I’m 5’9” it’s a rough life for y’all girls.😭
ya i'm a little shorter, 5' 8" and it's rare when something is too long on me. Usually its if I take one of my hubbys' shirts because he's 6'4" so his will be long but my own, naa lol
I was sitting here thinking “huh? Sleeves that are too long?” Then I remembered I am 5’ 10”
I'm 5'4" and my sleeves are always too short....I must have long arms.
Yes... too short is the norm...5’10” with curves
Have to say, I LOVE the T-shirt through the belt loop.
I know what I'm I'm wearing when I can finally leave the house!!
Keep the videos coming!! Totally loving this during these stressful times!! 💕💕
Thank you SO much...I'm going to keep the content coming!! It helps me too!
Thank you Shea for helping me get past some of my anxiety. You look amazing and I love all your ideas
Awe thank you so much Anne!!!

I love the tying the knot in the T-shirt and loop it through your belt loop!
What would I do without shea’s videos?! I’ve definitely been wearing some of my clothes wrong 😂😂
Hahaha I doubt it...but I hope you enjoy!!
These "right ways" look great on you. For those of us not really thin, I'm not sure all the styles would look so great.
Thanks!! Your personality is fab ❤ I started doing the knot look on T-shirts with a small rubber band when running and now use this trick for waist enhancement and my favourite color is periwinkle, No deep orchid xx
Maybe it’s just my OCD but I’ve always ensured that the shirt buttons are straight lol!
I thought it’s just me 😂😂
You don’t have ocd🙄
My 4-year-old daughter: can we watch “wearing your shirts wrong” again, pleeasssee?!” 💜💜💜
THANK YOU SHEA!!! I live in big sweaters and always look frumpy, this helps so much!
I liked all the tips-especially the one on cuffing.
I think this is one of the best videos ( of this category) that I’ve seen on RUclips
I love the belt loop trick! Will be a new favorite for me 💕
Yes its an awesome trick!!!
Love the belt loop one! ... and so true about wrinkly things in the store. HATE ironing.
HI shea, thanks for your valuable advice. I like your video.v👍🌼🌞
I haven't even watched this yet but thank you so much for uploading something positive 🌷
love your tricks!! thanks for sharing!!
The knot thing is SO genius!! Thank you so much for these wonderful tips Shea! 😃💕 In a video you were showing us how to wrap the upper waist part of the jeans around our necks to check if the size is right. That was genius too, I always do it when I go and buy new jeans. So a huge thank you 😃
The trick with the belt loop and every day T, game changer. My 44 year old self just learned a new trick. 😊
Keep coming Shea it keeps my mind away from news.
Thank you so much...and I agree!! This helps me too!
Love the tuck trick in the back of the pants. Thanks a million 😊
The hair tie trick with the sleeve would definitely cut off my circulation 🥴 ....still enjoyed the video though 😄
She used a fabric one so it should be elastic and soft.
You can buy comfy stretchy bands made just for the job from mens shops - got some I bought in the 80’s still going strong and so comfy
I read this as “7 Ways You’re Wearing Your SH*T Wrong” 😂🙈
😂😂 Haha, that was good!
🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Same thing lol
I might click on that link even sooner.
Great tips!!!! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 I have NEVER thought about the hair tie track!!! I’m so trying this, thank you!!
You mentioned the Express White shirt - wondered which style it is? I didn’t see a link for that one. LOVE your video’s. Always look forward to ALL your tips!
It’s linked as best button up blouse
I will have to try all those tricks. Love that you can style your in many different ways. So versatile!
I love how the hair-tie-on-the-sleeve looks like, but my arms are too thick for that - I need to preserve circulation LOL
I tried it. It doesn't work if you have any softness on your arms. It rolls down, just like an elastic waistband rolls.
Love you Shea. I do miss your luxury things/bags content.
Yessss I'm so pumped!!! I'm so tired of being in quarentine
Love a video on how to wear booties. Sometimes I feel like I’m wearing the wrong pants with them, like my Zella everyday leggings. Just doesn’t seem to work. Help!

Both, especially the skinny jeans/leggings really elongate the leg and give a really nice streamlined look! Just thought I'd share😊.
The back tuck and the belt loop knot were fantastic tips. Thank you :D
Shea did you ever interview people while working in HR? if so can you do a video on interview outfits?
Perfect! The sleeves have always slipped back down especially silk sleeves
THANKS FOR CHEERING ME UP!❤️
I'm so glad I did!!!
I do the cuff thing to my hubbies shirts all the time, he's like, oh that's magic haha
My arms are chunky and hair ties squeeze me too much. 😔 love all your other tricks Shea. 😊😍
I was thinking of that when I saw it, too. I'm considered skinny by many, but I tried that trick and it worked great, but the hair ties made my arms sore by the end of the day! I might try an elastic headband next time, and double it if needed.
Hi Shea, I've watched all of your videos and I love all of them.
Thank you SO much!!!
Love the sweater paws tho 🤣 but awesome tips!
It was a relief to know I wasn't doing them ALL wrong!☺
I love you Sm! You are my favorite fashion channel on yt and give me so many outfit inspos!!! Love ya! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you😊
Yay, another new video 🥰
Woohoo!!! Thank you!!
I love all your videos!! I cannot wait for your next video!! Please make more fashion hacks videos!! I have gotten so many complements since i have started using all your hacks!!
Thank you!
Thank you Shae!!
Just FYI.🥰
Omg these tricks are sooo good! A lot of them where new to me! Tnx for the ideas Shea. 💋
Ahhh yesss!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it...And learned some new tricks👍🏼❤️
I’m loving all the videos !! You’re videos are always so classy lol
Thank you so much Alyssa!!!!
My mother taught me this stuff when I was in grade school
Careful with the knot through the belt loop trick-- if you forget and yank your pants down to pee you might rip the loop!
I love a comfy sweater or hoodie with looooong sleeves. Not stylish but I still love it.
05:32 Only looks good if you are skinny. I have wide hips/back (hour shaped body) and tucking in shirts makes my hips and bottom look even wider.
Hey Shea love, love your videos. Great tips on fashion. However, can you give tricks and tips for heavy set women ??
Thank you 💗
Always wait for your videos ...super excited 😍
Love your energy and humor.
Who loves Shea’s videos ?? Me memmeeeeme!!!!
Love your sense of humor its a delight 😄 !
Love the back tuck as I have never seen that before and it is a great idea
Yayy thank you for addressing my questions on shirts tucking and folding etc perfect timing. Love these vids Ive been trying to look and be my best . Build confidence. I love who I am now and want to reflect it in all ways
Your hair grows so fast omg 😘😘
She is so elegant and funny at the same time. I love it ❤ kisses from Switzerland
Hi Shea 😊 Any tips on tucking in your shirt when you have a pouch? Thank you kindly 🙂
Great tips Whitney. I actually have the gray Madewell T-shirt. Will try the belt loop 💡. Have a great day🇨🇦
I love your videos.
Love you Shea! Your videos are incredible!!❤️❤️
I have learnt so much thanks 👍👍👍
