Back in 2004 there was no crossover that look this good. I remember seeing and was impressed how good it looked and I told my teenage self that I would buy one when I grow up. So I got 2016 one back in 17 and love it. It looks so good that it competes with the look of luxury crossovers even now in 2020 with its 2009 design.

Ive got a 2005 and when people compliment it, they are always really surprised when i tell them that its almost 15 years old! but yeah the 04-06 range are by far the coolest FX35/45 models out there. They came with the same frame, suspension, and nismo exhaust as the 350z. Some even have additional sport suspension tuning, which they stopped offering in 06-07 because it caused the ride to be very stiff and they wanted to appeal to a broader market by offering a more comfortable ride closer to what a similar bmw/mercedez might offer. why they changed the car so much in the 09+ models

@@paulnicolaserojo7589 As an 05 fx35 owner it's been pretty cheap since all the parts are all old now, and they're not hard to work on. Bought it 2 years ago, for 4 grand at 130k i JUST ran into my first issues. leak in the steering rack and bad struts. Looks like everything is still factory and has never been replaced so take that as you will; must've been high quality to survive PA roads this long. The car IS at 155k now to be fair. Even then, i got a scrap steering rack and some cheap quick struts and what could've been 3 grand is costing me about 1. Mechanics will try and scare you with the "Infiniti" tag and run the price up by ordering everything through the dealership or factory, just gotta buy parts yourself and bring them in. Most nissan equivalent stuff fits in a pinch too.
Also- mine has 22 inch tires... and most of the sport models will. Now that's a high maintenance replacement let me tell you. Get a set of 18's and a flat tire will be half the price LOL.

I have a 2004 FX35 with premium and sort package with 20s and love it! I've had it for about 3 years now and it has 203k miles on it and runs like a champ! Only complaint on these vehicles are pre mature wheel bearing failure (ive replaced both front and driver side rear since ownership) and door locks (passenger front, rear, driver front and hatch all need to be replaced). Aside from those it is an amazing vehicle. Very fast, especially with a few modifications (remember you can use mods from both G35 and 350Z and all of them work great), and very strong and reliable engine and transmission.

I owned two of these... thinking about getting another one. One hidden secret he probably didn't know. There is a lock / unlock button built into the top chrome trim on the trunk lid right next to where it says infiniti. I found it by accident. It is a great feature especially when your hands are full. Walk up, press the button and it unlocks and locks all of the doors. Look closely when he's at the back of the car trying to open the trunk lid and you can see it.

Having a silver 2007 with the tan interior, these vehicles are still some of the best on the road. I have taken mine up some incredible trails and off road sites with rocks, ruts, snow and mud. It paws itself up and through with virtually zero issues and still manages to pull right off the trail and haul it down the paved road. While it’s definitely tight on the interior space-wise, it makes up in virtually every other way. My only complaint would be the full tilting of the entire steering wheel/drivers console. It’s not overly sturdy and was a “luxury” Nissan should not have gone with. Other than that, if you take care of this vehicle it will last for years. BTW, I have over 230k on mine and she’s still a massive champ!

Factory chrome wheels 20" Tricolor Ivory metallic. Runs perfect and very fast. Needs Bluetooth and a few safety features and I'd keep it forever. A real 'Sports" Crossover. I own one right now.. in white.. great vehicle.. that dash bubblin up must be very common issue cuz mines like that as well.. this vehicle is a performance oriented suv.. seems to me that infiniti integrates their performance tech into all of their models which is why i love this brand.. my fx does not have a strut bar, or a sway bar of any aftermarket but handles like a champ.. mine is a 2005 fx35 with 129xxx miles on it.. owned it since right around 48xxx.. ive replaced the radiator and couple of normal wear and tare parts so i believe that its pretty good as far as maintenence and reliability but its not a toyota 4runner.. verdict- i believe that if anyone is lookin for a performance crossover suv that can take corners like a sports car with decent power, but not plan on off roading and keeping them on pavement, this is the suv to buy.. cannot go wrong with buying a used infiniti..

Hello Average Joe, I own a 2008 Infiniti FX35 and I only have 60,000 miles on it. I must say that the major problem that I've had is cold-start. If it's been sitting for a few days even in the summer it is quite hesitant to start right back up. It seems like the fuel is not getting up where needed but also is worse in the winter. You will read many blogs of people having the same issue and trying everything from fuel line to electrical to figure it out. Other than that and look slightly still fried it's a pretty good reliable fun car. Hope that helps!

Just bought a 2007 fx35 w 109k miles for $9.3k people have said I over paid but where I am it’s not everyday you see one for sale especially one as good condition with lower miles as I found mine. No bubbly dash leather still in amazing shape only driven about 7,700 miles a year one owner many of the typical problems fixed within a couple years ( tie rods, wheel bearing, brakes, rotors, transmission fluid replaced etc.) who ever owned the car before me kept good care of it, and it seemed to have treat them well in return. Hoping if I treat it well it will give me the reliability I’m hoping to get out of, am a little nervous I do hear some things can arise after 100k miles such as over heating problems, rattling timing chains, throttle body thing. But all in all it drives like a dream and gives me a car to be proud of ( I’ve driven beaters for the last 5 years) it’s pretty nice besides the bit of rust on the undercarriage but it’s not really anymore than surface rust which is good for spending it’s whole life in Massachusetts. Definitely and upgrade from 03 sonata, wanted the g but being a bigger guy the fx was much cozier and will fit me my girlfriend and her friends nicely. Proud Infiniti owner. I will cherish this car as I did even with my beaters, even tho it’s an older car and although i guess it’s nothing to write home about, I’m very happy with my purchase, and smile every time I walk away from my car in the parking lot.

I have a 08 as my daily driver myself... it’s a great little car with a decent amount of room in it. The bubble on the dash is a very common problem with these 1st gen FXs especially black interior. I’d love a black interior but unfortunately mine is beige but it did survive the bubbles though. Also this example in your video is missing the tech package which is rear entertainment system, adaptive cruise control and navigation and that’s why you can’t find it... great exhaust note though which you should take a listen!

I have a 2003 Fx35 with about 123,000 miles on it. That is nearly double what I have and my dad bought it brand new and babied it to keep it in near perfect condition, so this might not be the most helpful. My car has never had any major problems, the biggest thing is all of the door locks except the drivers in hot temps don't always function so you have to manually checked them and lock/unlock them in the summer. Also my heat shield rusted and broke and when I would take sharp turns it would vibrate and the dealer just cut it off because it isn't really necessary apart from if I park over a pile of dry plants after a drive. Both of these seem to be the most common issues based on forums for the car, but It is worth it for the amazing looks, overall reliability and THE SOUND. Also today it is still the only good looking SUV that exists.

There are four things to take care of this car if you want it to RIDE and Feel like new for ever:
Be religious about oil level. Check weekly and Add if needed.
Bad Wheel bearings will make it ride like a piece of junk. Check bearings before you replace anything, specially the front ones.
Front seats have leather on top only and vinyl on the sides which will crack and rip. Get it fix by an upholstery shop.
When replacing the air filter, the intake tube will need to be removed. When re-installing the intake tube, make sure it is straight and away from the ac line next to it.
Use Leatherique conditioner on the seats. This WORKS.
