Thank you for these videos, they're very informative! In many videos you have said that the food is great and there are a lot of ethnic choices, which is wonderful! Do you have a video (or can you create one?) regarding vegan/vegetarian restaurants on the peninsula? It'd be nice not to have to go into Seattle if my wife and I want a dining night out. We are looking at moving to the area in 6-12 months. Thanks again for the wonderful videos!
Awesome video! My husband & I are moving to Port Ludlow to live with my 82 year old Mom, but we’re looking at Bremerton & Silverdale for a home for all 3 of us. I’m SO EXCITED 😃
I was born in Scotland. My father was in the US Navy and my mother he married here in Bremerton that went over to be with him well she was pregnant with me. Scotland is much worse at being rainy and cloudy and cold than here. I have lived in much worse places in this county and the world. I love Bremerton and lived here most of my life. I live out by the Kitsap fairgrounds and it is so quiet peaceful and nice. Not much bad happens here little crime and cops are very rarely here. This is the best area to live in Bremerton. I wanted to live in or near Tracyton. And now I do and very near Silverdale. I love it here.
Thank you for your comment Anna! Thank you to your family for your service. I actually also live in the same area you described, and I LOVE it here! Great neighbors, great schools, couldn't be happier. I'm so glad you enjoy it here too!
Key point snow. People will take there 100g trucks just to fishtail all over the place. When it snows here just stay off the road because people do not know how to drive. It’s really scary
FYI, this is basically ALL stock footage so none of it is how it looks. The mall for example is a joke and this video showed a 4-story behemoth complex. This video doesn't have enough needles and homeless people lmao!
You must be an experienced videographer! Maybe I could hire you to shoot b-role for me all over town that I can include in my videos so you'll like them more.
You'd have access to major grocers and specialty shops in all three, but as far as resturants, Silverdale might be a little more progressive than the others. There is a Trader Joe's and a Sprouts. And if you want to go into Poulsbo there is Central Market.
Bremerton has Bremelos (by far the worst of the bunch), Silverdale has Silverwhales and Port Orchard has Port Orcas. Avoid all three if you want to survive!
Looking at moving to Washington from New Mexico, and I’ve been debating between Tacoma or Bremerton. Is it pretty easy to get to Seattle for sports games and concerts and back? Preferably by public transportation like the ferry. Like does the ferry run late?
Hi Michael! It's SUPER easy to get to sports venues from Bremerton. Just hop the ferry, and the stadiums are a 10 minute walk from the early ferry. The one exception is hockey, it's about a 15 minute car ride. The ferry does run late, the last sailing from Seattle is at 12:50am. You can find the sailing schedules here wsdot.wa.gov/travel/washington-state-ferries
I lived half of my life in Tacoma and half in Bremerton. I miss living in Tacoma, but I stay in Bremerton for some reason, lol. I don't mind answering questions if u have them. I will say, the ferry does not run as late as I wish!!! If the last ferry is at 12:50, then u gotta get there in line by 12:40 which means u gotta leave ur event, depending on parking, EARLY! Bremerton doesn't have very many places to eat or shop. Tacoma is much better for shopping, Seattle is better for food, our county can not come close to compare to those things.
@@rachelleensor3147hi! Are you still able to help share your knowledge between Bremerton and Tacoma? I’m debating looking between the two but would prefer to pick between the two before I go out there to look at places IRL. I was really only looking at Tacoma because it’s close to seattle and all the ammenities and food. And potential work options but for some reason Bremerton looks safer and more green. Do you think it’s a city a young couple could love and make their forever home here? I’d love your thoughts. These two cities seem to be the only affordable areas these days
@@Cloudyconfusion Sure, I don't mind sharing my experience at all. Recently, a friend of mine from middle school in Tacoma, got a job in Silverdale so she moved to Bremerton & she is loving it here, however she is single. She we hadn't seen each other or talked in 20 yrs!
@Rachel Thee Hermit Thanks for the pro tip! I've lived here for 22 years and somehow NEVER figured out that Silverdale is NOT in Bremerton! Wanna take over my channel?
@@livinginbremerton from here been here all my life well I love the weather here and the heartfelt vibes but my daughter and her husband got transferred from sandiego to Bremerton he's in the navy so I couldn't imagine being away from them and grqndkids so I'm moving with them hopefully we adjust well to the city I have been to Tacoma before Bremerton looks different though

Great idea! I'll put it on my topic list to make a video of vegan/vegetarian options. Thanks for the suggestion!
Born and raised in Bremerton, I’ve been to many of the places in the intro!
That's awesome!
50 ish inches of rain happens mostly on just 4 days out of the year when it absolutely pours.
I would respectfully disagree. Most of our rain is pretty mild. Every now and then we'll get a substantial downpour.

I live in east Bremerton, and I am pretty happy here. It's not the best place, but it's not all bad.

Hi ma’am, got orders to Bremerton. Thank you for making these videos. Is your contact information still the same?
Sure is! Reach out anytime.
it does rain alot
How would you compare port orchard Bremerton and silverdale for a young couple that wants to have access vegan options and not too rural?

#12 amen! People make it sound so bad!
I know, right??
lol
Are there any places that have those real rubbery bagels and pretzels?
Yes! There's a Preztelmaker in the mall right next to Barnes and Noble.
