    I live in McCormick Woods, Port Orchard for past 15 years. Great overview of the area. I hope everyone who is looking to relocate to this area or is assigned to one of the bases here watch it to become aware of all the great things about our area. Great Job! 😉👍😊

    I was onboard USS Long Beach (CGN-9) and we in the PSNSY back in 1985. It was very nice being in Bremerton back then. I went back to our homeport of San Diego and never went back until this past weekend. I was throughly amazed at how much the city changed. I currently live in a very small town in Northern California, very close to the Oregon border. I moved here from San Jose and work for the County I live in. I have been planning to move to Cebu, Philippines in a few months. I will live on my VA pension and social security when I am there. However IF I were to stay here I would definitely consider Bremerton or Everett. I am also retaking Cloud Computing and Python classes. So if I were to move there I would have to have a job first and foremost.

      @@livinginbremertonGreat video. I'm currently vacationing in Seattle and took a trip to Gig Harbor and Bremerton.
      I'm from Miami and this part of PNW is very beautiful. I drove up all the way to Port Angeles to see everything.
      What did you do in the Navy ?
      You mentioned time serving on an aircraft carrier.
      Keep up the excellent videos. ❤ 👍

      How was your trip to Gig Harbor and Bremerton?

    o.o houston man fhat has to be even more of a quick mud effect than... but yeah but oh I was thinking of austin how it is portrayed anyways... but yeah it is sound terrifying to be in snow driving much less to imagine how it must have been back in 2019ish? that time the snow was as deep as 2ft...

    I moved to Bremerton, Washington in March, 1989. Before that we had lived primarily in California. My dad was in the Navy and got orders to this little placed called Naval Hospital Bremerton. But from March 1989 until November 2011, Bremerton would be my home. I also joined the Navy and was fortunate to be stationed in Bremerton for nearly half my career. Naval Hospital Bremerton has changed so much over the years and so has Bremerton. I recently visited back in May 2023 and it still felt like home. The surrounding areas and cities (Silverdale, Port Orchard, Poulsbo), attractions, and shops have also changed since 1989. But the weather, wetness, cold, freezing blistering rain, fresh air, summers unlike no other, and feel are still the same. Bremerton will always be a huge Navy town and the state of Washington will always be military friendly (Navy, Army, Air Force bases all over the place). I live in Southern California now and I consider Socal my new home...but Bremerton will always be in my heart and I wouldn't mind visiting every few years. Great post, btw.

      I know exactly what you mean being from Colorado and living both on the noth east and north west coast. The east has more rain and it's wet, wet. But going more towards Colorado and the west it's a dry rain and dry snow and people never understand what I mean when I say that.

      @@westmax8491 Tacoma has some lovely areas. But also some not so lovely areas. So it'll really be a balance with your needs/wants and budget, and what areas work with that. I'm super familiar with Tacoma as well, so if you need any support with that let me know.

    How hard/easy is it to commute from bremerton to tacoma or seattle if my work is there?

    • @livinginbremerton
      @livinginbremerton  Год назад +2

      Fairly easy. Take Hwy 16 straight to Tacoma. There is a toll in that direction on the Tacoma Narrows bridge. Depending on the time of day there may be a bit of traffic.
      Seattle you can take the fast ferry (~25 mins), state ferry (~50-60 mins), or drive around (~90 mins, depending on where in Seattle). The fast ferry is walk on, you can bring your bike or scooter. State ferry is walk on or drive on.

      @@corbinmiles5677at least over half of the citizen/resident percentage from what I last researched however long ago it was said that mostly it is more rented households than homeowners that well own their home outright obviously... but yeah so there should be a abundant or at least high probable easy thing to note 7:32 oh luckily from what I heard... pretty sure but not postivie so no promises here but that bottleneck from word on the street on that level of accuracy about.. I heard purpotedly has been addressed and or resolved by road crew major overhaul recently or fairly recently so that is not soo bad but yeah do keep that in mind for rush hour
