Your review / scoring videos, have made me visit and score all of my favourite albums 😂 I’ve gone and scored around 12 albums!

      😆
It's kind of interesting, right? I really like that I sometimes get a total that makes me realize I don't feel how I thought I did about an album.

      Yes - very very interesting!
I thought I actually preferred Under Lock and Key more than Tooth and Nail, but score wise Tooth and Nail wins with a 4.6 score, compared to 4.4! Marginal I guess
Thought I’d score my favourite RATT albums, which came out in this order of preference:
      1. Invasion Privacy, 4.8
      2. Out the Cellar, 4.6
      3. the EP, 4.5
      4. Detonator, 4.2
      5. Reach for Sky, 4.1
      6. Dancing Under, 3.9
I ‘thought’ I liked Detonator more... and Reach for the Sky less, 😂 but as said before, some are very marginal
Really enjoy your album history, and song breakdowns / reviews. Keep them coming please! ❤

Another great video Dave. Very informative about all the drama about Don, George, Jake, Ozzy and of course (no surprise) Sharon. I remember hearing Breaking The Chains on the radio here in STL back in 83 quite often. Always loved it. Then a friend said “you’ve got to check out this song on the album Paris Is Burning.” He told me it was strange because it was the only song on the album that sounded live. Either way he said it had an “Eruption” feel to it at the beginning of the song. So of course had to borrow the album and see for myself. So I thought and still do that overall the album is just ok. Other than the title track (killer still) and Paris Is Burning (also one of my favorites). I guess
    Felony
    Live To Rock
    Stick To Your Guns
are probably the other ones that are pretty good.
The rest meh pretty forgettable for the most part. Quite a HUGE difference to Tooth and Nail

      Thanks, Starman.
Yeah, I had a bunch of the same kind of thoughts back then, too. Of course now it all makes a lot more sense, understanding that this was, in fact, something that started as more of a Don solo project and then morphed into a band.
I have to say, Don didn't have to do that. He could have done what Jon Bon Jovi did if he chose. Gotta give him some credit for that.

My first Vinyl Record was Back for the Attack. I bought it on ebay just because I loved the Cover of the Album so much. Short after I saw the Breaking the Chains Album from Dokken. But the Original Pressing that came out in 1981 from Carrere Records. Also the Band of the "Band" was "Don Dokken" not "Dokken" on this Copy.....it was for around 30 Bucks and I bought it because I thought it may be pretty rare.
Also there is an Studio Version of Paris is Burning on this.

Thanks for the suggestions! I did a video about Pyromania a few years back, should still be here somewhere, but it wasn't really an official review, if I remember correctly.
I'm definitely going to have to go into the DL albums.

Nothing against George Lynch cause honestly I think George Lynch is a good guitarist. But the solos for eruption and the solo for the Randy Rhodes tribute album were my favorites

@jamiesonmathias7859 Fantastic question! Thanks for bringing it up!
I actually did a video on the "remaster" topic, I think a few years back. Here's the link:
      ruclips.net/video/WtcY7rZzX9k/видео.htmlsi=DRWB3rtOu0eMbM8t
Unfortunately, I don't think I had heard those Dokken "Rock Candy" remasters yet at that time, so I couldn't include them, specifically. I did talk about several others, though, and maybe you'll find something useful in that video.
I can tell you the only Dokken "RC" remaster I've heard so far was Back For The Attack, and I had pretty mixed feelings about it. Mostly, I felt it sounded like George Lynch had been in charge of the remix/remaster himself, as the guitars seemed ridiculously loud to my ear. However, it may have just been a "first impression" sorta thing that I might feel differently about upon further listening.
I would definitely be happy to review a lot more of these remastered classics, as I usually have pretty strong feelings about them, one way or the other. If I can get ahold of the Dokken ones I will definitely review them!
Thanks again for your questions! I'd love to hear any thoughts you might have on any of these things!
