They lost the rights to put the songs in their correct order. I was expecting that with the 2003 remaster. RageFor Order titled because they were pissed about the mixed up song order! N.M. 156 starts with the spooky synth and Roads ends the album with it. I disagree with you about the song order.

Wow! You really love this album. I consider myself a big Queensryche fan, but I actually never heard this album. Your review was great. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the absolute maturity on this album for kids! The music appears outstanding, and I am not too surprised with Geoff’s vocal range and theatrics. Thank you, Dave, for your effort here. Happy New Year.

To many 5 or 4 Star Albums. Time to review something classic that you don't like as much... like Metallica. Would be interesting. But I would't tune in to every of those Videos if I would'nt like it. So just keep on. For my opinion you're doing fine. :) I learned to know Queensryche because of the "Were Stars" Song...and I thought that Geoff Tate was the best Singer there. I knew "Road to Madness" pretty well to....and later some of their other famous songs. But never heard a full Album. I guess its time to change that

Interesting to hear you talking about newer stuff. I think you should give Crashdiet a chance. In my Opinion their 3rd Album "Generation Wild" is their best...but their debut Album "Rest in Sleaze" is almost equally good in my opinion. They are from Sweden and they are the first "Glam Metal" or "Sleaze Rock" Band that got a Major Label Deal for their Debut Album since the 1980s....I would say they have some similarities with Skid Row...but are a littly more Pop Oriented....(maybe)...and a little more modern. Saw some Interviews with those guys. They are fairly big in Europe and did an Japanese Tour. But for some reason they never got a fanbase in the USA. Go check it out. I'm gonna try "In this Moment" usualy this is not my kind of music. But the Songs you've shown in the video sounded pretty good to me.

Very nice video. Great EP for shore. The first song i hear was QUEEN OF THE REICH by the band because i had a KERRANG vhs compilation, in the late 80s. Still my fave song by the band. About later albums, SIGN OF THE TIMES is a great song from HEAR IN THE NOW FRONTIER album. Check it out. And you named PROMISED LAND and i think its a good album really but litle different, with slower songs. EMPIRE is my fave. Cool video.

ok fianally got to the last review hold on a minute though we got another album this year so this is a bit out of date. right this album. limitless and do what you can are a pretty average. my problem with this album is american reckoning. it would have been a push for U2to write this song given the subject matter . as far as i am concerned bon jovi should have stayed well away from this. but that is just my opinion. srtory of love, lower the flag, and unbroken are another hat trick of 5* songs. i will give the album 3.5 just because of american reckoning. i think because of this period in time it is my least listened to album even though i went and bought it on the week it was released. i know they did a bit of a tour in the states, which got a lot of poor feedback, because of jon's voice. but here in the uk no tour to promote this album. after the glory years of 2000, upto 2011 we have had one tour now in 11 years with no sign of any more shows anytime soon. thanks for the entertaining reviews and taking time to read my responses. 38 years of having bon jovi as a major part of my life. what great memories.

and another review completed. right, the album i love it. living with the ghost and labour of love are brilliant songs. i did watch the chris isak video and there is no doubt they are very much on the same wavelength but there is a partial argument for shania twain's video for still the one having the same idea. i have to agree rollercoaster is the best track on here. i will give it another 5/5 because as i said before, the high points balance for the weaker tracks but after watching this review i can say even the weaker tracks are pretty damn good. this was the point where we had to accept richie was out. will he ever return? for a start how did richie feel about sharing guitar duties on stage with bobby bandieri and seemingly being pushed out of production duties by the jon / shanks partnership? then the otherside of the coin, richie quitting mid tour and causing so much grief for jon, tico and david, can that trust ever be repaired. ? richie at the moment keeps talking about the 40th anniversary reunion but just listening to him talk is a bit unsettling at times. a very sad situation. this album released late 2016 and here in the uk we had to wait until summer 2019 to finally get a mini tour . i saw them at wembley and coventry. both were excellent shows BUT jon was really at the begginning of his vocal struggles. where his vocals used to glide at times during these shows they seemed to be spluttering. after the golden period from 2000 up to 2011 when they toured relentlessly we had shows in 2013 and 2019 and that was that. a couple of gripes about personnel.tico is the only drummer bon jovi needs so why did jon decide to hire everett bradley? and on those uk shows we had shanks playing guitar in richie's spot and phil x was stuck behind jon with hugh mcdonald. it just seems that shanks is jon's right hand man now and it looks like that is not going to change. as for album sales, well credit jon for his humanitarian work but his total support for his democrat friends has almost certainly alienated a lot of his republican fans. but no doubt that can be covered in the next album review.

thanks for another entertaining/ great review. i said that in 2014 my marriage broke down, i was expelled by my family and i had to endure the most horrendous time so i was definitely not in a good place. this album came along and i did get the cd from my local supermarket just out of loyalty to bon jovi who meant so much to me. i love we don't run and burning bridges but there is no real affection for this album. the cover is pretty bland, to me it is not a real bon jovi album like the others, just a collection of songs. no tour to promote it like all the others which tells you a lot about the whole post richie situation. as for the falling sales since the bounce album the internet had been massively impacting their album sales. the whole burning cd's and file sharing meant people did not need to spend money on the official albums. and that was before youtube where everything was on demand immediately. a lot of bon jovi albums i gave 5/5 just because the high points were just so good and counterbalanced some of the weaker songs but this album is no more than 2.5 out of five to me. and you may have your view on the circle and painting pictures of you but i still love them and they get top marks from me. ok onto THINFS.

this was the first of your reviews i watched and since have worrked through them all prior to return to this point. i have already said what i want to about the album but i am following up with more news on bon jovi live. obviously richie started the tour then decided to bail out. so in comes phil x. i found the thought of another guitarist in richie's place hard to deal with but it was obvious this time there was no comeback for him. fans in the uk were all over the internet demanding refunds which must have caused even more upset for jon, tico and david. however i had bought tickets for 4 shows on their uk tour, birmingham, cardiff, isle of wight festival and their third time playing hyde park, london. and phil x played a blinder. i got to meet him after the london show and you could tell he was just over the moon to get that chance. as i said this album has turned into a real favourite and this tour gave me even more great memories. ok a bit of personal stuff again. in 2014 my marriage came to a crashing halt and it was a brutal experience. the lesson i learned that was sometimes relationships, no matter how much you love and care for someone they have a point where they cannot be recovered. and i think that was the situation that jon realised with richie, somethings cannot be recovered. i love richie for what he gave us but when he left bon jovi in the lurch he made out he quit the band. but that was not all was it ? there was the team behingd the group, the tour staff and truck drivers that were trying to get their monthly paycheque but even more importantly the fans who supported him through tough times he quit on all of us. now richie, after selling his stake in the bon jovi catalogue, is saying how much the fans want a 40th anniversary reunion. what happens with phil x then. and will jon gamble on richie commiting to a tour and giving another no show. a sad time but what a journey up to that point.

hhmm, just read the comments and the one that stands out is about the strange review. a lot of harshess yet some good scores. for me it is a 5/5. probably 4/5 for the opener but i love superman tonight a 5 and loves the only rule which is a 5*. i love the intro, and the whole song. just likev a lonely note from john coltrane is a brilliant line. oh yeah, back when we were beautiful is another 5*. that song sums up their carreer and the years as a fan following them. everything has changed so much since 1984. some criticism of jon's singing. not from me though, he still sounds great at this time. 2009 michael jackson announced he was going to do a residency at the 02 arena in london but after his death that was out of the window . so up stepped bon jovi to do a residency. in 2010, a venue that holds over 15,000 and they did 12 nights. i was lucky enough to be there for the 1st and 2nd nights. i then got back for the 12th night. over those shows they promoted the circle but for any fans that saw them it was the songs they plucked from their catalogue that they had not played in years. if i remember rightly jon said they performed between 60 and 70 songs and that was some going. i have said in a previous comment it's hard letting you go, that they performed on the 12yh night was just magic. they perform.ed on the venue's roof which was another highlight. ok 12 months later, 2011, and they did more uk shows. i saw them twice. one was at hyde park which was an epic 3 hour show. and then two days later bristol city football stadium. not on the scale of hyde park but still a great show. but though i did not know it then it was farewell to richie. the last time i saw him on stage. but still a great memory. i know you have slated them a little on this review but personally i look back on that period from 2000 up to 2011 where we had 5 studio albums a box set, a live album, a reworked album, 3 dvd shows and record breaking tours as a truly golden period.the only group that came anywhere near that output was iron maiden, the catalogue of music they gave us up to this point is breathtaking. so i am not going to give them any criticism after what they gave me as a fan. happy, happy memories.

2008, two nights at twickenham. two shows that were ok. nothing wrong with the performance but probably the worst sound at a bon jovi concert which made them not so good. this year was the start of a period of loss in my life. 2008 i lost two uncles and a brother in law and that was just for starters. 2009 start of the year my mother in law and an uncle passed. i lost a couple of work colleagues but even more my father got lung cancer and died in july. and this is where bon jovi comes in, that song seat next to you which i already loved took on that extra meaning. "when the churchbells ring and the angels sing, know, know i'll come looking for you, save me a seat next to you". i am sure i am not alone in this album and definitely seat next to you having a special meaning in our lives. right onto 2010 and 2011.

i was fearing the worst for this review but pleasantly surprised by your reaction. for me this is not far behind these days. this is my second favourite after that album. all great songs and the actual sound and production just adds to the quality. ok 2007 bon jovi officially opened the o2 arena in london and i managed to get tickets for this one off show. probably my favourite ever concert. the arena was great and bon jovi... well. richie was back after taking a bit of time out and he got the most amazing reception. jon for the first time , i heard him sing hallelujah. 15,000 crowd in silence while he sang it brilliantly and a rapturous applause. just a totally brilliant experience.

ok 2004, the box set. i loved it. all those great songs like crazy love, sattelite and so many others that never made albums. 2005 this album came out and i bought it on the day of release. it was great to get another album but on hearing it it just sounded so different to these days which was the benchmark for any bon jovi album. the production and atmosphere meant it took some getting into and the fact that last man standing was on the box set meant we already had a taste of the album. but over time it turned into another much loved collection of songs. i am and wildflower are my top tunes but i love the whole album. but as great as it is to have the cd bon jovi is always about the livev experience. and in 2006 on their next world tour i got to enjoy two successive nights at milton keynes bowl. two beautiful sunny, hot june days. two more brilliant concerts in the memory bank.. next up memories of 2007/8/9.

ok a lot to get through with this one. after the barren years of the second half of the nineties we had the crush lp and world tour. 2001 they released the live from zurich dvd which showed how great they were still playing live and how they were getting a new young fanbase.in the uk we had the four wild nights tour where i got to see them on successive nights at milton keynes bowl and the millenium stadium cardiff both of which were awesome shows. then everything changed. the terrorist attacks but even more we were going into the internet world. 2002 we also got the live album which has been bypassed. ok onto this album, it was great to have another bon jovi album to enjoy. another 12 songs to add to the catalogue and there are some proper corkers. i can agree with most of the scores you have awarded apart from right side of wrong which i call a 5/5, brilliant song, joey i love that song and as for the ballads, that is what bon jovi do.ok the video for all about loving you is a bit schmaltzy but they cannot get everything right.by this time though their catalogue of songs is getting to the point that it is so big that we all have favourite albums and tours.the big thing for this oeriod was the announcement for the tour the following year. number one i follow wolverhampton wanderers football club and i turned up to watch a game one october night and saw posters, ROCK LEGENDS SET FOR MOLINEUX, bon jovi were going to do a show at my teams home stadium. beyond excited and when it came around it was just a fantastic occasion. but then a few days later i had probably my least favourite show. personal things going on in my life put a downer on the night and also for anyone that went to hyde park london will remember they had 92,000 people turn up but by this time a big thing was the gold circle ticket area. an area at the front of the stage that was cordoned off for those that pald extra. the area that covered gold circle was huge and made it into two crowds at one concert and really affected the atmosphere. but the positives still outweighed the negatives. next stop, have a nice day.

the year 2000, went to wembley and stoke on trent to see a couple of bon jovi shows. i can remember the excitement of this time because after 5 years where the world of metal and rock seriously lost its way not only did we get bon jovi back with this killer album, the same week this was released iron maiden with bruce dickinson back released brave new world. i bought kerrang and both albums were highly rated. i can't remember the first time i heard it's my life but i bought this on release and i can well remember the top of the pops bon jovi special in the uk and that was great recap and introduction for new fans.as for your review, i think you are right about the whole album apart from track number 3. i am giving that 5/5 and like beavis said to butthead bon jovi rule. to get a movie quote and write a song like that is pretty damn good. and like just about every great bon jovi song it is when they perform it live that you can really appreciate it. oh well. onto bounce and a totally different feeling because of world events.

in 1995 we had these days, i went to wembley in 1995 and 1996 saw two shows at milton keynes bowl. Late 1996 got married, 1997 my son was born. i started a new job in 1996 and for the following few years i was working like a loon. i can remember about this time a bon jovi song called real life getting airplay but it didn't seem to do a lot. it seemed like at the start of the nineties bon jovi had run its course... again. i can remember this being released and i did enjoy the singles that i got to hear but other things seemed to take priority.i did buy this on cd but cannot remember when. another great batch of songs even if i don't get to listen to it as much as i like. pretty much agree with your review apart from the last track which i think is a definite 5/5. next up, crush.

after the glory years of the eighties i think we all agree things changed in the early nineties. bruce dickinson left iron maiden after a couple of lacklustre albums. the whole nirvana and grunge thing. as for bon jovi after slippery and new jersey it looked very much like they were finished. thankfully they got their sh*t together and came up with this album. i bought it on release and saw them at milton keynes bowl in 1993. after the previous two albums they proved they had yet more to offer. it was different to what came before but it was still bon jovi. like richie said at the time they built a bridge to another island and got their fans to follow them there. another fantastic review by the way. my favourites, i believe and dry county are the top two songs but i can happily put the whole album on and listen to it. another one i found on vinyl last year 5/5. i have done the tese days review so next up, destination anywhere.

just worrking through these reviews. at the time i was not in a good place and this passed me by a little, even though i went to see the film at the cinema. i did manage to find this album in a record shop on vinyl last year. and i had it on cd a few years back. some great songs on here. miracle is my top tune on here and the video is a great snapshot of jon at that time. onto keep the faith now.

ok next review watched. another great review apart from homebound train. it might not be a five but surely not as low as one. i bought the album when it was released and saw 3 shows on the jersey syndicate tour including the big outdoor show at milton keynes bowl. not just the biggest rock band but the biggest band in the world at this time. the overall strength of this album even allowing for perhaps a couple of slightly weaker tracks means it has to be another 5/5. lay your hands on me was just a brilliant way to start a concert with.

and another album review completed. great video and entertaining presentation. as i have said on the slippery review i was not aware of bon jovi during this time. i did get it on cd but cannot remember when and bought it on vinyl during the last couple of years. not impressed with jon dismissing this album. after all it is another part of the house he built and every part is important. i think this album is great, silent night and hardest part is the night are favourites. i just love the eighties vibes on this album. 5/5 for me again.

the third of your reviews i have watched. i will go back to 1986 and i was totally unaware of bon jovi. U2, simple minds and hall and oates were my thing back then. but one summer evening i watched top of the pops and the video for you give love a bad name was on. i loved it and it sparked my interest in them. a few months later LOAP was releasefd and that was another top tune. i finally got round to buying the album early in 1987 and i listened to it regularly along with a few other albums, mainly the joshua tree. at the age of 21 i finally got to my first concert which was U2 and it was a brilliant show. a few weeks later i was in my local pub and a lad i knew had a ticket going to see bon jovi headline the monsters of rock at donington. now at that time heavy metat/rock was not my thing at all. but that day i saw, cinderella, wasp, metallica, anthrax, dio who all put on a great show. then bon jovi put on their first major headline outdoor show. i loved U2 but bon jovi put on a proper show, pyrotechnics, lasers but more than that bon jovi were showmen that U2 were not. seeing those songs from slippery performed live i was blown away. my love for metal and heavy rock really started. as for your review, i can pretty much agree. social disease is the weak spot but i can live with that. the rest of the album though is a definite 5/5 .. the standout tracks for me are, LOAP, never say goodbye and wild in the streets mainly for the great memories of seeing them played live.

ok, the second bon jovi lp review of yours i have watched. 1 great review by you. 2 my favourite bon jovi album, 5/5 for me. i have to agree with your choice of "it's hard letting you go" as the best song on the album. david bryan's keyboard intro feels supernatural and the rest of the song musically and lyrically is genius. you mentioned the lyrics to this song and the line that always stands out "the neighbours dog don't bark like he used to". absolutely fantastic. it would have been a better review if you had included the two bonus tracks. i love bitter wine and all i want is everything. a totally immense piece of work. if you haven't seen them check out the wembley 1995 performance of this ain't a love song and the 02 arena 2010 performance of it's hard letting you go. i will work through some more of your reviews now.
