I was just a young lad wen I first was explained the recoil system in the vectors... It still to this day blows me mind...
I know how you feel but its quite simple though haha, all it is is the bolt travelling backwards and then mostly downwards and then hits the bottom of the lower receiver to create a majorily downward recoil impulse. Its like hitting something.
Then you should check out the AK-107. Now that thing is a marvel of engineering
It’s not just the recoil system, it’s the combination of that with the low axis bore that dramatically reduces muzzle rise and recoil.
This is arguably the best Kriss Vector video out there. Thanks for putting this together.
Loved this gun when it first came out. It may be a little heavier compared to other SMGs but It's extremely accurate and the rate of fire is ridiculous.

The Kriss vector with 5.7×28mm (50 round mag) would be pretty fun. Nice light projectile to combat that recoil and to maintain a flat trajectory while keeping a large mag for the high rof.

This is illegal in the USA unless you are a title 2 dealer or get a demo letter for temporary possession :l(Which is about the same as a Title 5 license in the UK).
I can get this in Semi-Automatic (single fire) but it has to be ridiculously long in my state. Some people can get a pistol/SBR variant depending on their state. Virtually no one is able to get this as a machine gun. Damn you NFA.

Donavin Gilbert just got my CRB GEN 2. Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I added a Sig Sauer Romeo5 and purchased the 40 round Kriss magazine I had A 33 round already I purchased from Mag Shack
The Kriss Vector is just awesome. It's got a maybe a little more complex recoil system than most guns and it runs so quick and reliable. Really neat to see. love innovative designs like this... just not the price tag. Maybe some day!

This video is a great example with the pop up targets why semi auto will always be more effective than burst or full auto even with a round like the 9mm.

I'm confused as to why you think that semi was more effective in this video than burst or FA, many more rounds on target, much faster.
I'm sure the 2rd burst would pay off with a bit of practice.
I'm curious about the pop up targets. They looked like a lot of fun, but I'd be worried about durability and how expensive they probably are.
Full auto is only for close quarters and only with extremely high rate of fire weapons. You use a full auto firearm like a semi auto, except every pull of the trigger is shooting around 3-4 rounds. A problem with semi auto is that people have a tendency to shoot tight groups into people as they do on the range. A bullet cannot do more damage passing through the hole that the previous bullet went through. Full auto has a better dispersion. The best full auto SMG out there is probably the MAC series as they are cheap to make, reliable, and most compact. They fit the bill perfectly for the role of a SMG which is why the Israelis took cues from it in their mirco and UZI pro offering.

the gun is really accurate for being a 9mm.
Its not special really haha, blowback guns are quite easy to accurise and that not much rifling is generally required to stabilise bullets if using suitable twist rates.

how much is it in the US
Right around $1500 USD for a semi auto 16" barrel "rifle" model with an overall length of 35.25". For a full auto version exactly like what is shown in this video requires you to have a Class 3 FFL. As only a civilian in the US you cannot legally own a fully automatic machine gun without it being made from before May 19th, 1986. Which ends up making any transferable machine guns for civilians ultimately expensive.

No problem man. Wish it were better but at the same time you see people like Jerry Miculek and you can see clearly semi auto is just fine. It really all comes down to the shooter. I mean Jerry can nearly match a bump fire ar15(video on Iraqveteran8888 channel) with a semi auto and he does it while being much more accurate. Also with a full auto build you expend ammo so fast as seen in this video that the ammo cost increases exponentially. Parts in a full auto build are also heavier usually due to the extra durability in mind. For example the contour of the barrel on a burst fire m4 is slimmer than the socom profile on the m4a1 full auto. Doesn't mean you can't build a semi auto ar15 with a socom profile barrel or heavier. Just most don't because it is unnecessary and adds more weight. Also just to put into perspective how messed up the pricing on transferable machine guns is: our military gets the m4/a1 for around $800 per unit. Where as a full auto m16 would cost around $15,000+ for a transferable one as a civilian. Makes it very unappealing quickly. Especially when it is all a2 mil spec and extremely basic looking compared to modern builds. Which means you could spend another $400 easily modernizing it to your liking.
I forget just how impressive this weapon is, until i see your cameraman shoot it for the first time. He was almost gauranteed to hit the target. *Almost* hit at least one shot, on every attempt. That's utterly unheard of with a pdw or any kind of smg, forget about something additionally open bolt like the Vektor.
They really created a monster with this weapon.
I got a 9mm Kriss Vector semi auto. Had a few times where the casing somehow got stuck behind the bolt itself. Had to disassemble the gun to get the casing out. Other than that, the gun itself is amazing to shoot, almost zero recoil, very easy to get right back on target.
The automatic target system really made this video, in my opinion. Awesome stuff guys!!!!

I read on quora that kriss vector is uncontrollable in full auto. They ain't kidding around. It takes a lot of grip strength to keep it steady.

I agree, 9m is very easy and common to find in gun shops and on dead soldiers. Having a suppressor on your vector would drastically improve noise cancellation, and lead less zombies to your position. Also having a semi automatic feature is helpful to control recoil. I would suggest putting a red dot sight on a vector rack (preferably non-battery powered, to save you scrounging for tiny batteries), to increase range and accuracy. I would also recommend an extendable stock and extended magazine.

For some strange reason this weapon always reminds me the M41A pulse rifle from Aliens movie, maybe the futuristic design and the sound when it shoots.

I honestly could not think of better people to head the NRA other than IV8888 and Colion Noir. I am not saying we should get rid of Wayne Lapierre. The direction the NRA is heading now is scary. It's painting gun owners to be a bunch of psychos obsessed with prepper paranoia and home defense. Unpopular opinion: I really hate that everyone is standardizing over to the AR buffer tube and stocks. Yes, it's nice for the modularity, but then everything ends up looking the same. I don't want the Vector or Scorpion or whatever else to look like an AR. The fact that those guns are NOT an AR is part of the appeal.

I think I like the Kris’s vectors original stock a lot more. It looks so odd but is a little more fitting for the vector I think. Very interesting to see how much more recoil control there is in 9mm as opposed to .45 ACP though.

Seeing these type of videos is wonderful but its also simultaneously showcases the affect that the NRA has had on the gun community. Its upsettingat the same time. There's no reason why every law abiding gun owner shouldn't have access to firearms just like this.
That information is dead wrong, it is the NFA that controls automatic firearms. And the NFA is a federal law enforced by the ATF. The NFA stands for National Rifle Act and the ATF stands for Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm bureau...
