Hi Artists! Hope you like this new tutorial. Here's a link to those applicator bottles if you're interested : ) thedottingcenter.com/product/paint-applicator-bottles-for-3d-dots-paint-bottle-set/
My grandmother used to make ornaments but hers were those old thread ornaments and they were always my favorite. I cherished them. Unfortunately, my mother was not as … sentimental, and she got rid of most of them after my grandmother passed away. I was able to save a couple of them, but I always said one day I will make my own ornaments to pass down to my kids, and their kids and so on. These designs are perfect, with a good sealer afterwards they would be able to hold up to heritage use. Thank you for helping me make one of my life time dreams come true!❤️💕
OMG this is one of the most precious comments I've ever read! I'm touched. Yes! Making ornaments can be a perfect art that can be handed down for generations. It has that special holiday handmade feeling that kids and grandkids will appreciate : ) All the best!
My dear you are not only the coolest dotter, but also the coolest Mum. Love your channel and art, preparing for our school holidays here in Australia, we are having a dotting day. Thank you sweetheart.❤❤❤
Hey Rachel, there is a lot to be said about 24hr shopping. After just finding your channel, I want to start NOW, its midnight, so for now I have to sit patiently and watch and learn. Sherie Rodrigues from Australia. 😮
I am now finishing 8 of these beautiful baubles. They gleam next to the Christmas tree, Thank you for sharing. I am new to this. My second 4 look better than my first 4. I am working on the 2019 (I believe) bauble as well. I have had to sacrifice a Christmas bulb to attempt that one. Now I want the applicator bottles. They seem easier than the other tools I bought from The Dotting Center.
That notch idea - genius, you clever thing! I have just assembled my slightly balding old tree which means I now at last have all my hitherto plain baubles to hand and now can't wait to start painting & blinging :) I've been so enjoying all your fabulous bauble painting tutorials, thank you so much! ... now all I have to do is find a rose sticker .... ;)
Haha! yeah it won’t work without a rose sticker... Why don’t I have tape? What kind of crafty person is sans tape? It doesn’t make any sense but I’d better figure it out before Christmas otherwise all the gifts will be wrapped with duct tape, chewing gum, and rose stickers.
I love all your ornaments. I found the tracking number of my order and say "Arriving Late". Not going to worry yet, haha. Thank you so much. Great videos.
I have never had a themed Christmas tree. I have all kinds of ornaments on my tree, from handcrafted by me to glitz and glam ornaments from a well renowned designer. I really like that kind of tree, if I had room for other trees then I might consider a themed tree.
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING YOUR CREATIVE TALENTS! I HAPPENED TO STUMBLE UPON THIS BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK AND WOULD LOVE TO GIVE IT A TRY...SIMPLY AWESOME TECHNIQUES.
Question on the stand you made to hold your ornaments while you are painting them? I'd like to figure out how to make my own, if possible. Thank you! Your work is gorgeous!
Gorgeous!!!! Wow!!! I can't tell if you call ornaments bauble bc that's what they call them where you're from or if you made your own word!!! Either way.... I'm game... These baubles are amazing!
Hi! I love your video! Can you please tell me where you got the biggest horse eye shaped rhinestones that you put on first? I've been looking and can't find any that are bigger, only small ones that are about 6mm tall. Thank you!
No, I haven’t taken any videos down I just don’t make a video for everything I make. It takes a million hours (or so) for me to make a video so I only pick a few favorites to share. More projects are on the way, though. Stay tuned!
Your work is absolutely gorgeous! It must have been frustrating to have that one type of paint wrinkle after all the effort you put into it! A good lesson for all of us though!
Haha actually, it’s a learning experience I’m glad I was able to share. That paint works beautifully on paper and canvas. 🤦♀️ BTW old butterfingers here dropped that bauble putting it on the tree anyway so the next one I make will be perfect 👍🎄...and I’ll use shatterproof not glass.
Hello Rachel-- I am having a hard time finding the different types of rhinestones you are using. All of the ones I look at are either too big or too small, especially those horse-eye ones for your beautiful Christmas ornaments. Can you recommend a source? Even Amazon seems to be hard to tell what sizes/colors/shapes are in the packages.
Very pretty. I love this ornament. Thanks for the tip about purchasing the rhinestones kit for nails vs swarofskis. I know how expensive the crystals are !! Have you tried stickers or liquid pearls for the paint drops? Most of my ornaments are hand made. There are only a few that are store bought and they are the ones that I bought as insperation for my handmade ones !!
I've never heard of liquid pearls! Oooh June that sounds like something I'd like to try. I'll have to look that up! Thanks for the tip : ) Don't you love handmade ornaments? They're so fun to unpack every year.
Sooo beautiful!! I got supplies to try it but the paint I had was too thick. I thinned it with some Floetrol but then got it too thin. I see you used Folk Art brand, did you use it straight from the bottle or did you need to thin yours?
Yeah you need the bottles! You'll love them. I use FolkArt multi-surface acrylic paint because it's thicker and it bonds to glass and plastic better than regular acrylic paint.
Hi Rachel, where did you get your crystals?? Do you have a link to them or a description so I can try and find them? All the ones I find in Michael’s and such are round.
Judykins diamond glaze glue and a wax pencil. Available here: thedottingcenter.com/product/wax-pencil-for-applying-crystals-swarovski-crystal-applicator-for-dot-mandalas-and-painted-rocks/
I can’t use glass because I have cats. I have to use plastic ornaments. Metallic looking type, will regular acrylic work or would plastic need the multi surface too? I would love to make these.
I've got kids, so I use plastic too : ) I just wanted to see what it was like to paint glass. I use multi-surface paint because I want these to last. Sometimes regular acrylic paint can peel off and that would be a bummer.
I have a couple questions. One how do you keep your super thin nozzles working properly. I have tried using a needle and the little thing that comes with them sometimes and it still clogs up sometimes that project or sometimes the next one. Its super fustrating.. Second. Is that wax pencil anything like the resist crayons.? thanks
Check out this video for cleaning tips: ruclips.net/video/GlL6-ddEUHU/видео.html There are time stamp links in the description. The wax pencil is specifically made for crystal application. I've never used resist crayons?
Hi. I ordered your plastic bottles with many different tips, etc. I have not received the set yet. Is there any way you could find out where it is? Thanks so much. LYNN

When I get my living room back, my tree is very old fashioned glass ornaments, Colored lights, glass garland, and an angel on the top.
ooooh it sounds sooo lovely! I like the old fashioned glass ornaments too. Happy Holidays : )
You are so very funny. Thank you for your demeanor. These are so beautiful and elegant. Thank you for your tutorial.

Hi Lynn! Christmas time can be a bummer for late deliveries. Hopefully it gets to you soon. ❤️ Happy Holidays!
I am definitely going to make these. I just ordered the nail jewels from Amazon
Love the ornaments look.

Just love your dot painting 💕
OMG, ABSOUTELY GORGEOUS!!! i wish you would sell them. I have a slight tremor and am not sure I would be able to do this!! Thanks so much!!!
Thank you 😊
I am completely hooked your tutorials are wonderful to watch & attempt myself not as good as you obviously but I am happy with my 1st attempt lol
The first one is always a throw away. The second one is usually where you figure out how to make it better. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful

BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!

I use a plastic sauce container. Sometimes I use small mouthed cups. 👍
WOWZER!! What AH-MAZING baubles!!! I want to try this technique now!!! 😍
Have fun! 🎄
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing! 👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Love how the ornaments look.

Thank you for another beautiful bauble tutorial I can't wait to try this 💖
Thanks Deb! Have fun 💕
It would he helpful to add the link to that specific assortment of gems on Amazon. I'm looking but can't find them.
Love it! Looking forward to the rest of them!
We're going to have a blast making these. So glad you can join me! 😀

Hi everyone! Could someone tell me what paint is used for those bubbles? Thank you very much!

Look up "rhinestones for manicures" on Amazon and you should find some.
The design is really elegant 💕
Thank you so much 😊
Very pretty I'm excited to see more.
Excellent! We’ll make more florals together. Happy Holidays!🎄

Do you need to use multisurface paints to paint the ornaments? Or can you use the regular dotting paints like Deco Art?
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Love this. What is that tool your using to put the stones on?
It’s a wax pencil. Available in my shop: www.thedottingcenter.com
Please give a link to the Cristals you were using. Beautiful!!!!!
Look up teardrop shaped rhinestones on Amazon. They're easy to find : )
Absolutely gorgeous 🎄🎄great job 👌

I got them on Amazon years ago. Look for horse eye shaped rhinestones for manicures
Just beautiful!
Thank You!
Usually super glue clouds the rhinestones the fumes somehow cloud the shine
Yes, good tip about the super glue 👍

I used it straight from the bottle. Folk art multi surface paint usually works. Floetrol is a great thinning medium. That should get you there 👍
Love this. My first time watching. What do you use to apply the rhinestones with?
bit.ly/42PjVWs
You are fabulous.
I love these ornaments.
No YOU ARE! Thank you so much for watching. I hope you get a chance to make these : )
Is it a special paint.. these are beautiful. I really need the bottles.
Yeah you need the bottles! You'll love them. I use FolkArt multi-surface acrylic paint because it's thicker and it bonds to glass and plastic better than regular acrylic paint.
Lovely craft. Very nice video. Which type of paint is used?
Thank you so much 😀 FolkArt multi-surface paint. It's all listed in the description box below.
Love this
Thank you😊
How do you get that thick paint into that tiny little bottle?????
You can squeeze it in and mix right in the bottle or use a palette knife 👍
Hi. Don’t see anything in your dotting shop for jewel setter sticky. One I have from hobby lobby doesn’t work well
I just sold out, but I’ll have more in stock by 12/27. Thank you.
Did you buy the balls in black or was it painted on? These are usually not my style, but I love them!
The baubles came in black! I found them at Hobby Lobby and AtHome stores.
What kind of colour you use?
I love it
I use acrylic paints of all kinds. I list all the paints I use in the description below the videos 😊
@@TheDottingCenter thank you for the answer

Hi Rachel, where did you get your crystals?? Do you have a link to them or a description so I can try and find them? All the ones I find in Michael’s and such are round.
I got mine from Amazon. They’re rhinestones for manicurists.
I could see it! I must’ve clicked too fast. What is that wax pencil?
What are you using to put them in place??
Judykins diamond glaze glue and a wax pencil. Available here: thedottingcenter.com/product/wax-pencil-for-applying-crystals-swarovski-crystal-applicator-for-dot-mandalas-and-painted-rocks/
I can’t use glass because I have cats. I have to use plastic ornaments. Metallic looking type, will regular acrylic work or would plastic need the multi surface too? I would love to make these.

You can, yes

Amazing 🌺
Thank you 🙂
Would puffy paint work?
Some puff paint does work! It's fun to experiment even if it doesn't turn out for one project it might be perfect for another one in the future.
Can you link the stones
I bought some like hers from micheals
Yes, you can find them everywhere. I got mine from Amazon.
Swarovski stopped selling crystals in the US several yeas ago. You can buy them on places like Etsy, etc., but be careful because they sell fakes.
Good to know. Thank you!
There isn’t any thing there
