I don't consider myself to be very intelligent but I do relate to this. I have read and am reading philosophy, I am intrigued by physics and have a rudementry understanding, I just don't get the math. I am more than fine in my own company and spend it learning, I have never really done small talk, now I am older I don't really have anyone around me to discuss philosophy and science, if I talk to my family or friends about the latest book or doc it's just a blank look. I think there is too much emphasis on socialising, we never hear from people that are just happy in their own space. It must be tough sometimes for real genius's as there is only a finite pool of people to discuss things with. Interesting content.
