GOD is the smartest person I know and His about super cleanness and organization. Maybe messy room geniuses is a temporary thing for genius humans.... there's no one on earth that want to live messy all the time. 1 time I walked in one guy's house and I'm not kidding lol.. I almost felt on my face.. his clothes were all over the place, animal poop everywhere, heavy smell like weed and cat poop and cigarettes and his watching tv with his wife like its a relaxing day after work lol.. I never went there ever again... bad for my health. When you cleaning your house.. you feel like depression left, your mind feels so good... it's a blessing. I understand when you working on something and its a temporary mess... its fine but it can't be longer than a day or 2... otherwise things getting rotten, it damages your health and those around you, your lungs getting damaged.. its not smart.

Yes, but people don't understand what is happening to us, we literally create whole worlds and scenarios in our minds, to play out what we thing might happen, or what we'd like to happen. I've often found myself totally unable to remember a few moments before because I'm so invested in the simulation in my mind's eye.
Because of this I struggled in education, but still won awards in things that I 'lived' at that time.

One common trait that I've always found in the very intelligent individuals I've been fortunate to work with over the decades is that they have all been socially inept. It is as if the large portion of the human brain required to manage socializing and interacting with other human beings has been repurposed for other uses in people with high intelligence. Some of the most brilliant of these have ended up in very mundane careers due in part to their inability to function normally in society.

I've always believed intelligence embraces multiple facets. One individual could be book smart whereas, another could be crafty in the power of words; for example reading the room. I've been offered multiple positions in which I was out of my league; however my intuition is sharp. For instance knowing what to say, how to say it and when to say it. I can promote myself very well, and I was not the typical A, B student and I'm horrible at tests for I always over analyzed questions and answers.
Yet as an adult, the over analyzation made me super focus on job interviews, business meetings and advocating for others.
I always to try to share this with others especially teens and young adults, who may feel down, especially if their grades do not fully represent the measure of their intelligence.

Very interesting! I have a very over active mind that is constantly thinking of problems. The video mentioned slow progress towards goals. That is accurate. I’m not really disorganized, but I do think of every scenario for each problem. Late at night, I’ll sit and think until several hours pass, realizing it’s now 5:00 in the morning. I’ve always craved knowledge. Finding purpose and meaning in everything I do is highly important. And contributing to society is my focus behind many decisions. How can we make the world a better place? As a child, I became fascinated by many things and read every day. I played the piano, fell in love with Shakespeare at the age of nine, wrote my first short story at eight, received several writing awards throughout school, and had nearly fifty math and science books when I was twelve. My goal was to become an Astrophysicist. I wanted to be the next Einstein and receive recognition for a theory or accomplishment. Growing up, I had all these crazy ideas and goals, to most people, sounded ridiculous and impractical.
I didn’t like school, but I loved learning. And I felt I never fit in and people never understood me. As I got older, I read many self help books, including the book, LIMITLESS. I continue with daily rituals that incorporate daily affirmations, writing, and meditation while sipping a cup of coffee. I majored in English and Creative Writing and Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Psychology.

Great tips! Personal Development is one of the best things you can do for yourself - because, we as human beings, we’re supposed to embrace growth!
So make sure you find your Purpose in life - whatever it might be, and work on it daily, and continue to make progress, because progress is - really the key to happiness.
But don’t do it for any girl or guy, make sure you’re doing it for yourself - and just be happy!
    Anyway, that’s my two cents.

@@amante2443 Most ADHD symptoms are manageable if you are an intelligent person. Indeed, your main problem is doing activities that are not dopaminergic enough so you can focus on them. The solution is just to make the activities you want to do dopaminergic. How? Just be motivated. How to be motivated? By knowing exactly what you want in life. How do you know what you want in life? Well, this is a philosophical question, therefore if you are highly intelligent, you should be able figure it out. Done.

Other intelligent characteristics: good memory, very organized, good language, highly sociable (socially intelligent), emotionally/self-aware, exc.

You don't understand why intelligent people do the things that they do. For example, a dirty bedroom. The reason is that the abstract world is far more interesting than the trivial world. You see a dirty bedroom, but I am asking myself (for example) what are the long term effects of quantitative easing on the global economy, or why hunter gatherer families share the children equally between father and mother. I don't think smart people are only interested in what they can't have, they just realize that anything can be solved with a bit of thought... You say can't, I say can. Intelligent people fail in an idiotic way because they know that they will solve the puzzle in the end. They DON'T stubbornly do the same thing. There will be subtle flexibility in their obstinacy.
