I was just watching Met Gala and this episode was recommended. He is really articulate and he knows what he was saying. May sense kausap, admirable. Thats true with fast fashion like Shein I just learned recently na tinests ang mga clothes nla at the laboratory they found out na maraming toxic chemicals at ang gngamit nlang tela is very harmful sa environment ksi hndi sya tela kundi chemical made na gnwang tela kya sguro ilan suot kna umuurong n ang tela at pmpnget but of course mura ksi eh at trendy pero at the end of the day bili ka ng bili nppmhal kpa lalo.
True! He was one of the very first fashion bloggers in the "industry." Funny how a lot of people here only know him because of Tiktok when he's practically on the front row of every designer's runway shows for more than a decade!
You don’t throw away good clothes that are in good condition. You keep all of them and you need to learn how to be creative on how to mix and match. For me, I keep a lot of plain black shirts and pants and wear them over and over again. What I do to make it look like it’s something different, is I would wear a buttoned shirt or jacket over it.
This¡! If there's something that brings me joy is when by just varying how I wear the same shirt I have in my closet for almost a decade and playing with shoes and accessories even my friends who always hang out with me many times think I'm wearing something brand new and get kudos when I share what I did
Yeah, cos those designer brands are not associated with slavery and child labor. I'm sorry to break your bubble Karen and Bryan but these high-end brands are more notorious when it comes to abuse of labor.
He didn't say anything about designer brands. He was talking about 'shopping your closet' (re-wearing old stuff that you already have in your closet) and buying second-hand and vintage stuff.
Why make people buy from second-hand stores but let brands still produce more? Why not look into the brands to upcycle their own clothes? Why does the change always have to be from the consumers' stand point and not the brands'? It's not the people. It's the system.
Fast fashion is not sustainable, we have to accept and normalize that wearing old clothes should be normal, now that this is relevant because of fast climate change, as long as we have clothes to wear it should be fine
