Maureen O'Hara was the most gorgeous, stunning woman of her time. Absolutely beautiful, talented, and good-natured. No one compares. Can't believe she never won an Oscar.
My best friend was shopping at The May Company in the woman's department and Ms. O'Hara was right across from her looking at clothes. My friend said she was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen...
Dalton Belflower There aren't that many actresses I would classify as beautiful. But I have to confess Maureen O'Hara was truly a beautiful woman. She also had a very fun and maybe slightly eccentric personality (no doubt from her Irish heritage!)
Eliz. Taylor was asked in a interview years ago who she thought was the prettiest movie star.......she said Maureen O'Hara.......now that's a compliment from the top in Hollywood glamour ....Rest in Peace Ms. Taylor and Ms. O'Hara ........
Maureen O'Hara ; The most beautiful red-head to ever grace God's green earth. She was absolutely stunning in beauty , character , and grace. We will never see the likes of her again, she was one of a kind and thank God for film and the technology to preserve it so we can always watch you whenever we choose to see beauty ,brains and integrity. God Rest your soul great lady.
@z There were a lot of gorgeous Red-Heads during the 40's and 50's Jeanne Crain, Deborah Kerr, Arlene Dahl, Rhonda Fleming, Susan Hayward but Maureen was Tops IMO,
As my sainted Irish grandfather said while swinging his shillelagh to knock the crown off that English piece of fith Elizabeth, she-wolf to those predatory child molesting sons, "All Irish women are beautiful"
I love it when Martin Gabel stands up and kisses his wife's hand when she makes the correct guess. I know a lot of people wonder how a gorgeous woman like Arlene Francis could marry the less-than-enormously handsome Martin Gabel, but they were both witty, erudite and intelligent and they obviously really had something going with each other. Hooray for love!
Gosh, I know that people consider Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, Betty Grable, etc were the gorgeous women of this time but I would include Maureen O'Hara with them. She is flawless!
Stunning beauty !! She was a great friend to my absolute favorite actor, John Wayne. Wish we had women like this today !!! Beautiful, classy, smart, tough, talented, great all around !!!
Maureen O Hara, has been and will be my favorite movie star actress and singer from Ireland, i simply love her, and as you can see from this youtube clip from whatès My Line, she is so very beautiful and gorgeous such a wonderful woman and has a great personality and such elegance and worldly charm and sophistication... She is the best there is and her movies too are fantastic, see her in The Parent Trap. The Black Swan and many more of her television and movie projects, she will always be so lovely and so talented, and her singing is amazing as well.... thank you for this episode of Maureen O Hara on WML... was so enjoyable and so lovely to see her here.... thanks so very much, a very loyal and faithful fan of Maureen O Hara s for always, Ruthie Zaballero
Maureen O'Hara was such an attractive lady. Enjoyed her roles with John Wayne. No wonder why John said in McClintock that she puts the burr under his saddle! Ms O'Hara beauty was undeniable and unmatched.
This is one of those warm, wonderful moments when you felt like your watching old friends playing a party-game for their own amusement. The classic line-up of Arlene, Martin Dorothy and Bennett. So long ago....
You'd have to walk a long, long way in this world to find a more stunningly gorgeous woman. or a better or more intense actress. Those eyes and that smile... simply devastating. I don't expect younger folks to be aware of the magnitude of today's news, but this marks the passing of a huge, huge star.
If you loved her in "The Parent Trap", then you'll love her in "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and "Only the Lonely" alongside John Candy. If you haven't seen those two movies yet, I highly recommend them.
Now she is just stunningly beautiful! On top of that Maureen O'Hara is a great actress and one of my favorites! The Quiet Man being one of my favorites!
To Seafree - Thank you for uploading this WML - Maureen O'Hara. Just a bit of information My Mother looked like Maureen O'Hara when she was young and could have passed for her sister. I always felt she was one of the most beautiful women in the Movies.. Must be the Irish Charm.. I would love to visit Ireland some day.
"The Quiet Man" was just released in a restored, incredibly glorious restored Blu-Ray version. Maureen O'Hara simply blows the screen away in that film. She is certainly one of the most spectacularly beautiful women ever to have lived. Her face reflects such intelligence and character --- truly she is one of a kind among screen stars.
Maureen O'Hara is beautiful here..a natural beauty.... when I look at today's stars and even the young girls in all corners of the world who rush to get their looks "enhanced" by cosmetic surgery, they do not hold a candle to the natural beauty of women that enthralled Hollywood of old
In 1998, Maureen O'Hare made a lovely Hallmark movie, "The Christmas Box" also starring Richard Thomas & Annette O'Toole. You can find it online and it's worth it. Also get the prequil, "Timepiece", not with the previous cast, but it has James Earl Jones. It tells the story of the Mureen O'Hara character in her early life.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mr. Daly looked like he needed to have a bucket of cold water dumped in his lap after she whispered in his ear ;-) ...hee hee, cute... gotta love this old stuff.
What a beauty! I watch 'The Quiet Man' and 'The Parent Trap' whenever they are on television. When Mr. Cerf asked "are you an American girl by birth"? She said yes, that threw the panel off I am sure.
This is 1959. She mentions January so I’m not sure if this is early 59 or late 59 but in March of that year she filmed “Our Man in Havana” with Ernie Kovacs and Alec Guinness. It was just after Castro took over in January and while filming in Havana she stayed at the fairly new Havana Hilton where she said Che Guevara asked her to dinner at the hotel. I recall her saying she accepted the invitation. A very interesting movie with scenes of Havana before it was transformed by the Revolution.
Why, why, why can't the stars of today present themselves like that? I mean they may or may not have been as beautiful and gracious in their personal lives as they appeared on screen or television, but when the public saw them they were always put together and, in the case of women like Maureen O'Hara, Jayne Mansfield, Lauren Bacall, etc., drop dead gorgeous.
Even in black and white, Maureen O'Hara looks so sharp and gorgeous in this clip-- her eyes and face just radiate glamour and beauty.
She looks even more breathtakingly beautiful here than she does in the movies! And I didn't think that was possible!
She has that sort of otherworldly, stunning beauty you find in actresses from the 1930s and 1940s.
You can say that again!
She was stunning.
If you are attracted to women with a head bigger than yours!
In my mind she is the most beautiful ever! Inside and outside! ❤
Maureen O'Hara is one of the most naturally beautiful women ever in movies. She is just absolutely stunning. She's my father's favorite movie beauty!
Dalton Belflower There aren't that many actresses I would classify as beautiful. But I have to confess Maureen O'Hara was truly a beautiful woman. She also had a very fun and maybe slightly eccentric personality (no doubt from her Irish heritage!)
+The Real Mr J. No doubt, indeed.
My dearest friend who practically raised me saw Maureen O'Hara shopping one day and said that she was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen!
Her, Ann-Margaret, Christina Hendricks, Rhonda Fleming, Susan Hayward, Renee O'Connor, Rita Hayworth....lovely every one. Maureen leads the pack.
mine too
They'll NEVER be another like Maureen O'Hara! Such a beautiful, gracious and wonderful woman!!
I saw her on a show and she was so thoughtful of the other people and modest.A classy woman.
Eliz. Taylor was asked in a interview years ago who she thought was the prettiest movie star.......she said Maureen O'Hara.......now that's a compliment from the top in Hollywood glamour ....Rest in Peace Ms. Taylor and Ms. O'Hara ........

A wonderful comment!

When Irish women are beautiful they are REALLY BEAUTIFUL.
calalilygirl
as opposed to other more ugly beautiful women I suppose?
As my sainted Irish grandfather said while swinging his shillelagh to knock the crown off that English piece of fith Elizabeth, she-wolf to those predatory child molesting sons, "All Irish women are beautiful"
@SavageArfad She was very proud of her Irish heritage, young man
Stunningly beautiful!

I think Martin is sexy- that voice, that gallantry, that intellect!
Maureen has such a lovely handwriting.
Maureen O'Hara was incredibly beautiful and had a wonderful persona, to boot. She was absolutely charming and must've been a complete joy.
Gosh, I know that people consider Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, Betty Grable, etc were the gorgeous women of this time but I would include Maureen O'Hara with them. She is flawless!
I'd add Vivien Leigh, Linda Darnell, Gene Tierney and Hedy Lamarr to the list
Stunning beauty !! She was a great friend to my absolute favorite actor, John Wayne. Wish we had women like this today !!! Beautiful, classy, smart, tough, talented, great all around !!!

maureen has a beautiful set of everything
Maureen O'Hara was such an attractive lady.
Enjoyed her roles with John Wayne.
No wonder why John said in McClintock that she puts the burr under his saddle!
Ms O'Hara beauty was undeniable and unmatched.
This is one of those warm, wonderful moments when you felt like your watching old friends playing a party-game for their own amusement. The classic line-up of Arlene, Martin Dorothy and Bennett. So long ago....
I watched Maureen O'Hara way back in the early 60s, I was just a young boy, and I enjoyed watching her for some reason.
Beautiful face, gorgeous red hair, a body that won't quit and most important of all, a damn fine actor.
She was the most beautiful woman to EVER grace the silver screen! 💘
I am definitely with you on this
You'd have to walk a long, long way in this world to find a more stunningly gorgeous woman. or a better or more intense actress. Those eyes and that smile... simply devastating.

Pure class and beauty.
I LOVE HER SIGNATURE!!!!!
A rare combination of beauty and class.

John Wayne was lucky to work with her 😍
Unbelievably gorgeous and stunning.
I'm 18 years old, and I LOVE WML and Maureen O'Hara!!!!
Same here. I am 18 too and this show is pure gold.
One of the greatest if not the greatest beauty of the Silver Screen
She is drop-dead gorgeous...I've been in love with her forever!
The Golden Era of ladies and gentlemen ... sigh .... gone forever!!
Maureen is perfection.
One of the most beautiful and articulate women in the world, ever.
Merrida100
most certainly not one of the most articulate ones but without doubt one of the most beautiful.
She sure was a beautiful thing. I loved her in Parent Trap.
If you loved her in "The Parent Trap", then you'll love her in "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and "Only the Lonely" alongside John Candy. If you haven't seen those two movies yet, I highly recommend them.

My favourite actress: beautiful, classy, feisty. John Wayne's favourite gal too! Loved her in The Quiet Man. So glad she's still with us.
Wow....a perfect 10!!
She was one of my favorite actresses. Loved the old movies she was in
Beautiful. Inside and out. A fabulous actress. A wonderful friend to John Wayne. Thank you, Maureen!
What classy writing O'Hara had.
Plus a big personality!!
Patrick Raynes
Not classy but intentionally extravagant.
She had beauty inside as well as outside.
She was so beautiful and talented. A real lady. I adored her💜
Flawless beauty.Leaves me speechless.
Now she is just stunningly beautiful! On top of that Maureen O'Hara is a great actress and one of my favorites! The Quiet Man being one of my favorites!
"The Quiet Man" is one of my favorite flicks too! Never gets old and the characters are incredibly charming.
Such a beautiful woman

My Mother looked like Maureen O'Hara when she was young and could have passed for
her sister. I always felt she was one of the most beautiful women in the Movies.. Must be the Irish Charm.. I would love to visit Ireland some day.
And she is gracious and nice to boot.
Back when stars had such class that they bowed, smiled and waved to the audience before leaving the stage.
She was so spectacularly beautiful. My mother was a redhead so you know what my father loved, and me too.
I simply can't stop looking at her! I have most of her movies on DVD
Maureen O'Hara is the best red head actress
John Wayne Maureen O Hara, Mc Clintok. Great movie
an absolutely stunning beauty!! And add to the fact that she has worked with John Wayne many times makes her a true lifetime treasure!
"The Quiet Man" was just released in a restored, incredibly glorious restored Blu-Ray version. Maureen O'Hara simply blows the screen away in that film. OMG Maureen was sooooo gorgeous.
I adored her. Beautiful, graceful, talented.
Breathtakingly beautiful 👍 And class . Those qualities don't exist in today's Hollywood
Rest in Peace, sweetheart.
A lovely, lovely woman! Loved her in many of her movies especially "The Quiet Man."
Wow...so darn beautiful!!!!
Maureen O'Hara, a most beautiful woman and a fine actress!
Everyone here has forgotten about one movie she was in, The Spanish Main....outstanding performance.
It tells the story of the Mureen O'Hara character in her early life.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All if the books are wonderful , too. Maureen was a perfect grandma in the hallmark production; just lovely.
Would loved to have seen THIS episode on color....with her gorgeous complexion and red-hair......SCRUMPTIOUS!!!
God, she's beautiful!
gorgeous woman she was! Stunning, really.
Mr. Daly looked like he needed to have a bucket of cold water dumped in his lap after she whispered in his ear ;-) ...hee hee, cute... gotta love this old stuff.
Can you blame him?
Daydreams of a Vintage Girl He looked like the cat with the cream when she first came on stage.
What a beauty! I watch 'The Quiet Man' and 'The Parent Trap' whenever they are on television. When Mr. Cerf asked "are you an American girl by birth"? She said yes, that threw the panel off I am sure.
@Ed Miller She said she was American. But Cerf asked if she was American born. She was born in Ireland. What don't you understand?
@Ed Miller I am not going to argue with a moron.
Ed Miller and American Dreamer..... you are both debating about Maureen's answer. Mr. Cerf did not say "by birth", which is key to her answer.
MsTruthSeekr1 @3:49 Mr. Cerf says “by birth”. You people should listen to the entire video before questioning my veracity.
Mr. Cerf added "by birth, of course" while Miss O'Hara was still conversing with John. I don't think she heard that he had added that to his question.
Simply stunning in her beauty.
Beautiful Handwriting
just soooo pretty. I watch maureen almost nightly
My God! She was beautiful!
Beautiful
Once Irish, always Irish. 💚

Stars reflect the times !
she is gorgeous!! I loved Dance, Girl, Dance.
She was just so undeniably lovely
Soooooooo beautiful.
I'd be hard pressed to name someone more beautiful. I loved the movies she made with John Wayne. They had such great chemistry together.
She's a queen.
