    Thank you Denise you’ve saved me again. I made my almost 7 year old granddaughter a scarf & hat on the loom. She doesn’t like the way they feel or the way they look. Well, can I tell you she’s got the teenage attitude from a little kid. When she gets back this afternoon, we’re gonna watch the video together and she’s gonna want me to make it right away. So thank you again darlin there will be a very happy almost 7-year-old wearing them to school🥰💜💐💋🎉

    How long does the headband end up? I'm wondering if it would work to continue doing e-wrap rows until it's long enough to be a hat and then cinch the top. And thank you for showing how to tighten the cast on stitches.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hi - it is NOT long enough to be used as a hat. Right now I can't recall the exact size. You can follow the link to the store. The product description has that information. But you can add an additional set of rows and then do a gathered method cast-off and it will work well as a hat. I'm thinking of doing a video because I've been asked this question several times.

      I bought the pattern today so I know the headband as written is 5" long, I was just wondering about a whole hat.

    Denise I love the headband your videos are easy to follow. In all your other videos you cast on wrapping to the right is there a reason you are wrapping in the opposite direction??

    Love your tutorials! My name is Gabriele and I am new to loom knitting (only been doing it for about 2 weeks) and new to your channel, I have been crocheting and knitting for over 60 years now but my arthritis in my hands is killing me after finishing my 6th Afghan as Christmas presents so I am trying loom knitting with the hope that it is easier on my joints. However, my only beef with loom knitting are those ugly cast on loose loops which are not attractive at all and I just don’t know how to get rid of them. I tried to do what you show in your videos making the loops smaller but for some reason I can’t seem getting it right, maybe with more practice loom knitting I will master it! I actually messed a scarf up because of it and I am a perfectionist so it is driving me up the wall when I can’t figure out how to solve a problem. 🥴😊

      @LoomaHat  9 месяцев назад

      First, welcome to the family my friend !!! Watch the whole video, I mess up tighting the cast on but I show you have to continue and not so that you don't ruin your project. I like my work to look perfect too.

      @@LoomaHat thank you for your response, I have started another project of yours tonight, a scarf. I love your tutorials and the projects you show us in your videos. I am slowly starting to get better at loom knitting, I think I wrapped to tight in the beginning when I started and found out that it makes it hard on your hands by doing that, so now I found just the right tension, not to lose and not to tight. 😁 I guess there is a learning curve for everything, but I do miss my crocheting and regular knitting, wished my hand’s wouldn’t act up like they do, however I do enjoy knitting on the loom to, just need to get used to it a little more but I will get there. 😊👍

    Thank you for all you do, Denise. I just love your tutorials. On this one, I have a question. It may be the brand of loom I'm using but I'm using a 41 peg loom and doing this scarf on only 21 pegs but it is coming out incredily wide, approimately 17 1/2" wide. If I want to make it narrower, what increment of pegs can I reduce by and still keep the pattern?

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  23 дня назад +1

      You can reduce it in two peg increments - it can also be that your yarn is chunkier - and stretch the fabric out before unraveling the project.

    Placed an order for this pattern and a few other items on your website. I can’t keep track to save my life, have now started using patterns w/stitch markers, row counter AND making notes. Takes forever but stops me making so many errors.

    How would I convert this pattern into a hat? I’m assuming continue the pattern until I have the length I want but after that how would I close the top?

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  4 дня назад

      Hi Debbie - Yes you would continue knitting enough to cover the top. You can measure (length from crown to earlobe) as you knit. I suggest you use the Hacked Drawstring Cast-off ruclips.net/video/ctVBY-1oG8o/видео.html .
      Hope that helps.

    I love that yarn can you tell me what brand and color it is? Also can this pattern be made as a hat rather than a headband?

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  9 месяцев назад

      Hi - this yarn is discontinued. It's from the brand ' All Things You" in colorway Electric Blue. To make the headband into a hat just add more rows and then use the gathered method to cast-off.

      You can also use a needle to thread your yarn trough to hide the ends. I don’t know how to crochet either. You will be fine!😀

      She uses them for pulling her yarn thru at the end. I use a needle and that works for me. I cant croquet either.
