This is the broadcast that introduced my father to Wilco. It’s been his favourite band for 25 years. He still talks about how great it was to stumble upon this while channel surfing
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??????!!!! how do I not know this band?? Wow, love it. I have Wilco Shmilco on vinyl but only because it was sent to me by mistake. I think theyd changed their sound by then as I wasnt that keen on it, might give it another listen.
This sounds HUGE with headphones on!!! Absolutely amazing sound quality and energy from the band! Im suprised it didnt bring all the snow from the mountains crashing down on top of them lol!!!
That little Ampeg that Jeff Tweedy is using sounds so gnarly with that Jazz master too. Nerdy question is he using a fuzz box with that or is it straight in?
All songs are from the 1996 "Being There" double disc release, which came out nearly 5 months prior to this show. The only members of Wilco in this who remain with the band (and who have been there throughout the now 30 year history of this band) are Jeff Tweedy (lead vocals, guitar) and John Stirratt (bass, backing vocals).

I'm glad your dad enjoys this channel, more Wilco on the way just for him 😉
This really is a fantastic channel, can't thank you enough for all the great old gigs you upload! It's always a surprise, but it's never bad
This will always be the best version of Wilco. RIP Jay Bennett.
Being There and AM are brilliant records. Love it.
What a great band they were. Their best period.
Fantastic performance in the winter cold
Saw them for 1st time a month prior
One can still hear the colors emanating from the music today

Wow embarrassing to say didn’t know of Wilco , well now i do , just fantastic . Thanks for opening me up to them , great channel 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Start from the beginning!
I’ve been listing to them since 2001.
It’s been amazing watching them grow and change, and yet, always so good!
I ve also started listening them waaaay late in 2004 or 2005. Don't worry, you're musically feeded for a long time with such a great band 👍🏼
If you like Wilco check out the band that birthed them: Uncle Tupelo. Start with Anodyne and then Still Feel Gone. You're welcome in advance.
