This will always be my favorite iteration of Wilco. That Being There tour was so much fun and they were still playing a number of Uncle Tupelo tracks as well. Might get three versions of Passenger Side in a set. It was a good ol sweaty rock show. So thankful I got to witness the Milwaukee show at Shank Hall.

Wilco is the finest. They're the best. Always good, every time. From the 90's till now. This line up.. The current line up. Both great. Love Wilco, always will.

Just saw Wilco at Breese Field in Madison, WI on 8/19/16. A very different band, but still kicking it. They did a great acoustic encore. Kurt Vile and the Violators were the opening act. Great show!

This is the Wilco I know and love. No pointless Nels Cline noise solos, just kick-ass songwriting backed up by a great roots-rock band.

21:20 I was Jay's best friend for 8 years during high School and four years at U of I. We. Lived tigether for 4 years at U of I in Champaign. We played together in a horrible cover band called the rebel ducks in Champaign. Jay was always an immensely talented musician. But he was also a passive aggressive asshole. That's what it takes to make it anywhere.
I was useless and untalented. Jay was brilliant, but he had a very low voice, which was exacerbated by the fact that he became a chronic smoker.
During our fourth year of living together one day there was a knock on the door and I opened it and let Leroy in. And a bond was formed between them.
I was outclassed by both of them.
Eventually Jay joined Wilco, and a couple of years later he got Leroy into Wilco.
What disturbs me is that years later during Yankee hotel foxtrot, in the I am trying to break your heart documentary, Leroy dissed Jay, saying that their friendship had run its course.
That was a really cold thing to say considering Jay got Leroy into Wilco.

I know band need to keep evolving to stay fresh and keep the members interested in continuing, but I sure liked the country-rock version of Wilco more than the art rock sound they got going now.

I know nobody asked, I did not buy Being There. I had some bad experiences with double cds in high school, most notably the Forrest Gump soundtrack. NEVER would both CDs be found in the case. Plus, I was not that into A.M. But then I saw this. I was never the same.

This is the Wilco that made their reputation. Then they fired Jay Bennett and Cooper... so anemic sounding now. This lineup was the absolute best band I’ve ever seen. 97 at Fillmore SF. Damn.

Intro sux, matching a base drum with a snare is so stupid or misleading.
