I went on this ship with my husband for our 25th wedding anniversary 💕 o was so amazed, I thought I was caught up in a dream world. It was my first and only cruise. But I will remember it forever and ever. Everything was superb, the food was excellent everything was perfect. I loved it. Thank you Celebrity Galaxy for making an old country girls dreams come true!! We will celebrate our 47th anniversary this November. Thank you
I sailed on her in 1999. It was my first cruise and I absolutely fell in love with cruising. I remember they served hot chicken broth out of large, fancy urns on the lido deck at around 11 in the morning. It must have been something ocean liners used to do. There was an enormous copy of a beautiful Fragonard painting of a young woman on a swing at the top of a marble staircase. That painting is the first thing I see when I open my cell phone. I downloaded it as a souvenir of this, my very first, most wonderful cruise.
My favorite ship. I'll take this over the overhyped, overrated Edge ships any day. You didn't need to go to an overpriced specialty dining room to get great food. You didn't have all the public rooms on top of each other and you could be entertained in several stylish lounges. You could access pretty much all of the ship so certain areas weren't for suite guests only. It was a magnificent ship and different from Century or Mercury but with a similar layout. They weren't all carbon copies of each other the way the Millennium, Solstice and Edge class are.
The 90s have something magical and this ship reflecs this.
I worked on the Galaxy in 99. Best contract of my life. I loved that ship.
Did you know Mary & Dale...worked in the casino? Was you on it when they were filming 'The Cruise'?
The golden era of celebrity ...
