    I just made this tree skirt for my daughter small tree. She absolutely loved it and I enjoyed learning how to make it. Thank you.

    Very nice pattern:) Have looked at a number of tree skirt patterns, and this seems to be one of the more do-able ones! Thank you.

      what size is your tree? i’m looking to make one for my 3 ft tree and can’t see if this pattern is for small trees or bigger trees

    • @joannewhittaker9462

      It is 6ft but you can always stop once it’s reached the width of your tree

    As another commenter suggested, I would use a bulky yarn, yours is gorgeous but, wow, it looks like a big fuzz ball to try and crochet. How about the moose sitting on your tree skirt, was he a gift, purchased or can you do a tutorial, thanks.

    Your tutorial is easy to follow even though I have frogged it 5 times due to stitch count being off. It would have been helpful if you let us know how many stitches we were supposed to have after each round.

    Hi! I've followed you and have done many of your patterns. Your tutorials are wonderfully easy to follow. I have a question on this pattern concerning the yarn. Would it be possibly to use two different yarns together? The faux fur for one and perhaps a thicker non-faux yarn as the second strand? Perhaps that would help me to be able to see the stitches? Please advise. Thanks! Lisa

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much 😊 Yes you could hold two strands of yarn together; this is also a good way of increasing the size of the skirt. Just remember you will need to increase your hook size; you may need to have a play around to find one that works best.

    I'd rather use a chunky weight yarn because of my sight. Would a 5 or 6 weight yarn work as well? This seems to be the easiest pattern I've seen thus far. Thank you!

      The fur yarn can be quite tricky to work with going by sight alone - if you prefer to use a different type then you could certainly have a go and see how it looks 🙂

    Would it be possible to add on to this skirt to make it longer or would I need to do the larger pattern? I made the tree skirt a couple of years ago but wanted to make it longer this year

    How many balls of wool for this if using the same white fluffy wool?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Год назад

      I used Sirdar Alpine Luxe fur effect yarn in Polar. Small (8 balls approx), Medium (12 balls approx), Large (17 balls approx) this will obviously depend on the hook size you are using and your own personal tension :)

    I'm noticing that when I do this mine ends up too curved, like in order to lie flat the edges have to overlap. Do you have any tips?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад

      It's possible that you may need to go down a hook size so it works up slightly smaller 😊

    what size hook do u use if it starts to curl I know you are using the 10 with fur but what are you using with the other yarn ? Thank you

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад +1

      Hi Joy, if you look at the band on the yarn you are wanting to use it will state the hook size on there, and if it is curling then I would try going up one or two sizes to see if that helps 🙂

    Can any yarn work for this pattern or do you have to use the yarn with the fur

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад

      You can use whichever yarn you prefer, but I have written the pattern with the fur yarn in mind. Why not try the pattern with some different yarn and see what you think 🙂

    Why is she saying treble when it’s a dc stitch?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад

      i'm using UK terms, it's the same stitch just different terminology, so a UK treble is a US double, this chart maybe of help to you - bit.ly/Conversionchart :)
