i've got a friend that has heard "equipment won't make you any better" so much that they still play on a laptop keyboard with a cheap office mouse even though it hurts if they play for more than an hour
i can play about as well on laptop kb and 60hz with $5 mouse as i can on 240hz rapid trigger and $189 mouse its just a bit less comfortable and more annoying to deal with the hardware but it doesn't limit your skill or handicap you its just something extra you need to worry about like actively thinking about your cursor more on 60hz cuz its not where the screen shows or actively thinking about compensating your aim for mouse accel.
@@r_seon 4 stars this may be true
@@raiens508 not osu but I ended up getting a few perfects on EZ2ON at level 14 on a 75 hz monitor I use for discord ( So I used the thing in portrait mode )... also a cheap keyboard. I was upgrading to a 360hz and I dont use my OLED for rhythm games for obvious reasons but I wanted to play it so I just played on the 75hz one. The keyboard was used just because I wanted to see how bad I would do on top ( I have a nice custom board otherwise ) and I quickly realised that it didn't matter if I had terrible gear or not. I could play all the way up to 16 which is my current level on a shit set up. The equipment never made me better, it was me pushing through that did.
laptop keyboards really aren't bad for osu but ya cheap office mice for sure won't do
al least they enjoy the game
Hi as a side note the drunk deer can utilise Cherry profile keycaps despite being north facing as it has long pole switches
Im getting the drunkdeer a75 soon with the aluminum plate myself. I personally prefer the sound off plastic cases and the sound it had reminded me off older keyboards but with lighter thocking due to the plastic being cheaper.
I am manely impressed with the fact that it does not sound light or empty due to the foam inside the board.
I wouldn't if I were you, get the atk68 or atk75 instead. I own a DrunkDeer a75 and it has so many issues and DrunkDeer has their tech supports shilling their own product in peripheral help discord servers while dismissing all issues saying they basically don't exist. The RT is unstable below 0.4mm, you need to pry it open to open it, stock keycaps suck ass, it sounds pingy asf stock, the build quality is dogshit and proprietary switches
@@yhiz4757 I get that youre trying to give me advice here and I appreciate that you are here to tell me not to get it, but first off all I already bought the keyboard.
Second, another friend off mine has the drunkdeer and he said that RT is consistent nontheless. He said to be carefull with the built quality but thats fine to me. (also I am not gonna use rapid trigger below 0.4mm anyways so not a problem to me, sounds too high for my liking).
Also about being pingy stock, what do you mean exactly with pingy? From what I have heard in other keyboard reviews, spazza's channel and my friends, the main problem they have with sound is that its a bit hollow but never pingy. I find pingy but be high pitch out of nowhere (and ive not heard that yet with keyboard test sounds off youtubers, friends etc).
Trust me, I did my research. I looked up multiple reviews (spazza, chyrosan, asked about keyboard to friends that have it, the wooting and the apex pro and even the atk etc.) and I weighted the pro's and cons
I did not go for stock keycaps, I went barebone grey and bought my own keycapset as I know not to trust stock keycaps. I am also not gonna just open it up.
I appreciate your honesty and opinion but your critique is based to someone who will tinker with the keyboard.
Plus if I dont like it I will just refund it. it has a refund policy you know? If you were really upset with it I wouldve just refunded it or sold it to someone who might like it.
@@gdbluefirre6749 The ping doesn't come through on a lot of sound tests but in person it's pretty audible if you have proper switches to compare it to. The keyboards also a complete nightmare to tinker with lol, you need to pry open the case unless you buy the alu case which then has screws. I've done a tape mod but can't fit any more foam in because of the shitty clip on mechanism, it doesn't go down and it's left being unbalanced. Lubing the switches helps with the pinginess but the 42g springs they sell feel worse and stiffer for gaming than the stock 60g ones because they are longer and require more initial force.
@@gdbluefirre6749 These problems showed up past the refund point as I wanted to do more with the keyboard, the initial problems I had I was told by tech support "there will be a software fix soon" which for my primary issue there never was. The tech drunkdeer supports in the discord literally go into other servers and shill their own keyboard recommending it at every opportunity while discrediting other keyboards and dismissing all the issues + being toxic about it. I was literally DM'ed by one of the tech support people "ay dawg I'd appreciate you not spreading misinformation about dd, i'm already doing dmg control across mr" (mr being the mousereview discord). This was in response to me voicing my issues to people interested in buying it. I thought I did my research too, I usually spend literal days researching but in the end I was just the victim of false marketing and false promises.
thanks for the review! I was considering the Wooting 60 HE or A75 particularly for the F row even though I would barely use it. Lol. I think I’ll wait for the Wooting 80 HE. 🤙
I bought the Drunkdeer and sent it back. It felt cheap and hollow. Upgrading th case and keycaps would help, but then you're in for quite a bit more $$. I'm looking forward to the Keychron Q1 HE.
@@davehetesi7537 word. I’ll check that one out too
I wish the 80 HE had a more common profile cause it’s current profile looks to be a first of its kind and unmoddable
@@Iam....--.. Agreed. I don't understand that design decision. They made it wider to add in one more key and now it's an odd shape.
my friend got a wooting keypad and now passes streams with 280bpm....he couldnt even pass 240bpm 10 note streams just 2 days before, ik equipment isnt everything but damn did that make me jelly
I love that this makes me even happeier with my wooting 60he
what was the map you were playing in the background?
Im looking for a keyboard solely for performance. I don’t care about casing, looks, etc. I just want the best and fastest keyboard. Is the the wooting going to be any bit noticeably better or is it not worth $60+ extra dollars
I live far from the USA but which would be best just for fps? I have another silent keyboard to type on.
Can I change switches to Gateron Jade or Geonworks and keycaps to PBT.
Focus on performance first, then durability.
Drunkdeer A75 ($135)
AKKO MOD 007 PC 7 ANNIVERSARY ($125)
VXE ATK75 ($131)
VXE ATK68 ($108)
does drunkdeer's pcb support other magnetical switches than the stock ones ?
Waiting to see if the lamzu keyboard will be any good
bro spazza's pinky looks like its trying to run away when he types
Is this comparable to 0 delay keyboards like apex pro mini and wooting 60 he?
should i buy this or wait for the 80he?
Consider comparing the brand new VXE ATK75.
I saw a review saying that the f1-12 keys do NOT work on windows and only on mac. Can you verify this if possible? thank you
I think you have to press FN2 and W for windows layout and FN2 and M for Mac layout.
Don’t quote me on that exact key combo though! I’ve seen so many reviews on this keyboard I can’t remember which set of comments said what the key combo to change it to windows is.
That shouldn't be the case. I have used official Apple keyboards on PCs and vice versa, and there is no reason for incompatibility in terms of F keys. The only annoying thing some companies do is that they make the default behaviour be the modern media functions (volume controls, play/pause, next, previous track, etc.) instead of the actual F keys, but that's typically a BIOS setting on the host system rather than something the keyboard would do, and most commonly found on laptops, although also possible to do at keyboard firmware level. Either way, it should be easy to fix by the user.
@@NatiiixLP yes, I think you’re right! I do believe seeing a review that mentioned the play/pause volume control stuff, not working and needing to press, FN2 and W for windows mode.
@KaiZC_Tech did review on the A75 and his first keyboard was bugged. It wouldn’t work out of the box. He had to do a factory reset then update the firmware. It worked better but it had a double key press and even a 5X key press issue and he had to send it back to get another one. The new one worked way better right out of the box.
Bought one in October died in December. Returned and refunded. But when it worked I had no complaints other than the lack of features like dynamic keystroke. But I ordered an akko mod007pc it has more features like hot swap gasket mount and wireless. But I did see that the mod007pc has a problem with the software.
how did it die cause i also bought mine in october
@@yousufahmed1418 I don’t know what broke the keyboard but I did not drop spill or eat near the keyboard and I used the included cable and was using the latest firmware as of 12/12/23 I filed a return the next day. I can tell you what happened when it broke. First the arrow keys had some delay to them and some keys would not activate randomly. Then the lights on the arrow keys where doing their own thing. I had the rbg set to a solid red but the arrow keys were a dim white. Then the arrow keys just stopped working entirely. Then the rest of the board the lights went out. I thought it was a bad cable or port but I switched cables and on a different pc still no lights or inputs. I think it’s 1 of 3 things. Theory 1: My board was poorly built and the circuits and whatever on the board shorted or broke. Theory 2: I might of broke it from pressing N M (my osu keys) too hard or fast and frequent. Theory 3: I used a .4 actuation point and .2 rt on wasdnm and 1.4 and 0 for the rest of the keys and no turbo mode, I think the keyboards memory had a problem and changed the actuation point to 0 and the keyboard was just actuating on its own. But the knob still worked so that’s why I think it was a problem with the hall effect sensors or the calibration. But I just opted to return it because Amazon has great return policies. And it could just be a driver or firmware problem that got fixed already so I don’t think you have to worry because as far as I can tell nobody else had a catastrophic failure. But I did see that the steel series he keyboard has a similar problem. I’ve seen it in OptimumTechs “Steelseries copied wooting” video.
i love your accent its ASMR to me
Anyone know if there is any word on if the Wooting 80HE is also going to be case swappable? It has a bit of a different layout compared to standard 80% keyboards I've seen, so I'm not sure.
I doubt, there’s just not many if any keebs in that size
It's "unique" as they wanted it to be. The only compatible cases will come from Wooting themselves or third parties in direct communication with them.
No way is that thing case swappable. I’ve never seen a keyboard with that layout before
I miss my corsair k63, Loved the feel of it despite all the slander it got back in 2019
I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I much prefer cheaper keyboards to like tier 1 premium keyboards like the wooting. They feel less polished but I love the cheap clacky feel idk why
Wooting isn’t premium at all
@@insecure_tiger the price sure is
@@insecure_tiger true, but for gaming it is. Also I have the same opinion for custom keyboards too :3
@@pepperey1986 i do think is premium lol, is one of the best in the market for gaming lmao , one thing is keyboard for gaming and other keyboards as a hobby
can someone tell me is this keyboard analog 😭
Can someone tell me what keycap set that is at 6:28, I want it.
Can you review the Ranked M65 HE as well ?
y’all realize wooting doesn’t only have the 60he right? they also have the wooting two he for purchase which is full size
Too big
I wish they had a 75%
The wooting 2he is outdated
Lets go they're making a 75% now (its technically an 80% i guess but its a weird layout and pretty much a 75%)
for me the wooting will always be superior just because of the fact that it offers both ANSI and ISO layouts and i'm french and i need the AZERTY option
Facts (me who has the apex pro TKL because my wooting messed up :
bojii, a top mania player, has recently traded his wooting 60he for this keyboard (with cyberpunk keycaps) and another keyboard.
didnt he break his wooting or am i wrong
I'd take a wooting over this shit anyday, it has so many problems it's actually infuriating
@@sean12444i don’t think he actually ‘broke’ the wooting
@@yhiz4757for me it works fine. The reason I took it was because it actually had arrow keys and it was cheaper.
@@yhiz4757what are all the problems you have with it….?
Can't believe ImperialHal is now doing keyboard reviews.
Do the Polar 65 I love mine :)
that kb would be my main but they don't have ISO layout 😢
They released a pro version which has way much improved case and feel
whats the closest switch to these? im looking for a cheaper keyboard (dont have this in europe) steelseries apex and wooting is 200€ is crazy for keyboard...
what skin is this?
I live in south east asia and drunkdeer cost $180 here and wooting is $300
yea drunkdeer costs $220 for me
if you want cheaper rapid trigger then go for AKKO MOD007B which is 150usd, with magnetic switch
I live in eastern europe and for me drunkdeer is $160 with shipping, 60HE $180
F for the fallen one

What about RAZER HUNTSMAN V3 PRO TENKEYLESS or Steelseries Apex pro TKL ?
Not as good as

it is the angel megumin one
Yeah it's called "Chitanda" I think
good vid
It’s not about keyboard, is about the player.
alu case is worth it
Just wanted to mention a different cheaper alternative to the wooting in the monsgeek m1he. Another rapid trigger keyboard cheaper than the wooting but with much better build quality, mostly thanks to its aluminum case.
Ya except its sold out everywhere.
if I remember correctly, theres ones from akko called Akko MOD 007B HE and it looks the same as the monsgeek
I don't care how good the keyboard is, i'm not rocking the "DrunkDeer."
consumer brainwashed lol
I don't care how good the keyboard is, i'm not buying another Osu-board
its honestly a pretty nice keyboard for everyday use as well
Idk what you’re on DrunkDeer sounds cool af
dudes the type to buy the latest iphone every year
The Meletrix BOOG75 = the superior H.E keyboard for 2024. It literally destroys the Wooting 60HE in EVERY capacity.
I though he had the g65
Same keyboard, same quality, just smaller layout.
I have this keyboard and their is quite a lot of issues with the software, a lot of the actuation points don’t actually work and leave the keys useless

That's some sick italian accent, right?
Nah as a owner of both the wooting and the drunk deer and as someone who had case swapped and customised both.
The drunk deer is much better. The switches are tighter and smoother and not so rattly. They are not as pingy. The drunk deer is way easier to disassemble and put into the alu case and the drunkeer can go to 0.1mm whereas wooting only 0.2mm.
Not to mention the rgb on the drunk deer is much brighter compared to the wooting.
lube the switches
How was the sound after switching to the aluminum case? Did you swap the keycaps out for pbt?

The DrunkDeer a75 has so many problems it just really isn't worth getting, I'm saying this as someone who owns one an fucking hates it and regrets ever buying it.
also have one and have problem too but not "so many" that might be an overstatement, if anyone reading this is considering a drunkdeer get the g65 instead it doesnt have the same issues as a75 and akolibed uses the g65 anyway, even mrekk uses wooting over his a75 but not sure if he encounters any issues with it
