Wooting still clears 😄 good video
Pin of shame
bet you don't even have a wooting bruv
i have a wooting 60he, it actually slam clicks like a mouse believe it or not
@@noideratestreams6306 nah pin of pride 💪🏻😤 did u even watch the beginning of the video?
@@ultra_01 it what
yes, but Drunkdeer is the first to come unnoticeably close in performance while also having a better layout and cheaper price. Wooting is only good if you have money to burn and time to waste.
I guess we’ll have to wait for Optimum to actually give a breakdown of the features that truly set Wooting apart from the rest.
yea so true
yep. Dude's insane: he does actual tests on the hardware delay etc. instead of just a surface level review of how it "feels"
@@balius9268 he had made that video, and a follow up too
Ngl, I found it weird that the review's theme is around comparing to a Wooting as a competitor, yet most of the talking points aren't focusing on actually reviewing the features listed at the start for why people go for a Wooting to begin with. Like I'd want to see testing of the actual rapid trigger functionality and such to actually tell me how big of a gap is this, but instead it really just gave me nothing. My takeaway from the review is just that it's another keyboard that has the feature set which isn't as good as Wooting's, but has better sound and feel, just like everything else trying to copy a Wooting keyboard that is also falling short.
Sounds perfect because that's (apparently) exactly what he wanted to say.
rapid trigger and the functions work just as well as wootings its not even close lol wooting is outdated in terms of quality
@@haydenluke5504the 60HE is also 2 years old the fact it took this goddamn long for someone to beat them, and they were a startup two years ago, is ridiculous.
This isn’t an achievement, this should have happened a year ago.
@@haydenluke5504 "works just as well" vs "is not even close", makes no sense lol
@@haydenluke5504 that would be great news as a consumer if it's true, but give me some actual testing and results that will show that to me instead of relying on "trust me bro". That's what my whole comment is getting at..
Wooting keyboard is a must for gps games
why would i need wooting for navigation
is wooting best keyboard for geoguessr?
My thoughts exactly! I always keep a wooting keyboard in my car. You never know when a Pokémon will appear nearby during traffic hours!
google maps its fire with a wooting
@@ToroidalFoxCasual It is a waste of money if you buy it for that, but theoretically YES.
the competition is closing the gap. honestly within the next year - I expect the real differenciatior to be software.
Agree, and availability, im not going to buy a keyboard that would take weeks to be delivered if i could have one immediately with minimal differnce price is also a factor as well
i kinda already is software tho, most of these boards just have shitty firmware, the hardware is just hall affect -> ADC -> GPIO at the end of the day
really enjoyed this video. great visual, audio and review/comparison. keep it up!
Do you have any info on when these will normally start to ship out?
Great review man.
Thoughts on the monsgeek M1W-SP HE it seems like a competitor to the keychron q1 he
Wooting is the market leader for sure. But competition is always good.
Nice reviews I have it and love it but still I was looking forward to your review. I just love to watch your reviews!
Great Video! Wooting 80HE clears 👍
Hi Diamond, I highly recommend checking out the Arbiter Studios Polar 65 keyboard. In my opinion, it is one of the best rapid trigger keyboards out there, featuring a mind-blowing price, an aluminum case, and hot-swappable switches. I was shocked when I didn't see it on your list.
oh shit kayjii
Your videos are always perfect timing 😂. Was wondering where the brush at 2:57 is from?
What do you think about the lil' brother of the Akko MOD 007B HE, the MonsGeek M1W V3 HE-SP? Could you do a review of that one?
have you tried endgame kb65he?
I would love to get his board I've had keychrons in the past and the build quality is incredible, just a shame it's out of stock on the UK website at the moment, maybe when it's back in stock I will take a look at
Keychron lists multiple approved online retailers on their website that also sell their products. They might be in stock. That’s how I got the Q5 Max when it was out of stock on keychrons site
what about the varmilo Victory?i own it and its awesome, u should take a look on it
Good video.
I was considering buying this to upgrade from my 60HE, but as I use 0.1mm actuation on WASD I'm not gonna get it and wait for the 80HE.
And yes, 0.5mm and 0.1mm does make a difference if you're skilled enough. I play worse on 0.5mm than on 0.1mm.
I don't know if they updated it, but the software now goes down to 0.2mm actuation on keystroke. Not 0.1 yet but it sure seems like they can add that functionality to the software

Is it actually 8k polling rate? if so can you provide some sort of testing similar to Optimum Tech does to prove this latency?
Also you should swap to Gateron Jade switches in the Wooting60he, it made mine much more tolerable for everyday use - not just for gaming on.
I may need to cancel my Wooting80he preorder if this is actually a decent competitor.
i've seen some testing between 1k up to 4k and i think even 8k and there is minimal different, not enough to have lower battery life if you are using it wireless, this goes for mice as well.
Could you take a look at the gamakey TK75 HE, Reddragon Fidd, Zuyoa x86 keyboards as they are also clones of the wooting?
Can you use a Lekker Switch in a Keychron HE Keyboard?
what about the akko mod007b
will you review it ?
Just bought it. I'm really excited -- missing out on my function keys has been really hurting my experience for non-FPS games
Using your affiliate link hopefully
What about the AKKO HE keyboards? - have you tried those?
Is the Q1H based on the Max or Pro version?
Edit: well a mix of both, but the Max has better padding than the HE which has better padding than the Pro.
Either way, the Wooting 60HE is 179,99€, in stock, and has a ISO FR (AZERTY) layout ; the Q1 HE is 213€, out of stock, and only has ANSI US layout... so it's not like I can chose either way, imma go with the 60HE
if you get your hands on monsgeek m1w HE make a comparation, i use it and it is very similar to what i see for keychron for build quality, software looks different tho
have you tried the qk65
I gotta say, with how high quality you vids are, i genuinely dont understand how you do not have more subs
yea agree but sometimes hes a bit biased
@@AbovHexanchus-qj7cv I'd rather that (and knowing his biases, which he makes clear) than some high production tech youtuber with fancy editing who just lists off stats and glazes the product for 10 minutes
Is the keychron software on web browser and settings save onboard or does it have proprietary software?
Qmk is available on web or as a downloadable application.
Anyone know a onehanded keyboard with rapid trigger?
welcome all the competition, can be nothing but good for the rest of us.
If this came out before the Wooting 80HE preorder I probably would have bought it. I honestly love the layout more than any of the wootings. But I would like to see some input lag tests run both wired and wireless before I say it is a competitor. But it does look the part.
can you compare it with under 100 dollars which is attack shark k85, has magnetic switch, i want to know it's performance
Can you review the Bridge 75 HE?
plz try the MOD007v3 HE Year of Dragon
Could you review the monsgeek M1W-SP HE? I think it's a possible interesting competitor.
Can you make a HE comparison with Monsgeek M1W SP HE?
You should review the Gamakay hall effect. I have both the 75% and 65% and they both preform great for the price.
what about the Akko mod 007b HE ?
The toilet roll ref is crazy tho😂
Are they going to make Wired version for the ones who'd rather cheap out and not spend extra for a feature they find pointless on a keyboard? W layout, more compact than TKL and superior to 60%.
Will it get an ISO version in the future?
the biggest thing that makes the wooting better is that even if they are the same as hall effect keyboard the performance and response time is so much better on the wooting than on the other competitors like the q1 he or monsgeek m1 he
wooting best in that regard but the board sounds like garbage and needs a replacement case to not sound like a 40$ board
@@PaulBlartGaming still ever gaming board sounds bloated with foam so the sound doesnt really matter, so the important thing is performance and wooting is the one that gives the best out of all
would be cool to see a comparison between the Q1 HE and the Monsgeek M1W HE-SP
It looks mostly fine
Man I’m using a Hall Effect keyboard I got for $30 open box on amazon, Redragon K617 Magentic Switch edition. Actually insane for the price.
Maybe I’ll upgrade down the line if something really interests me.
u should consider reviewing rakka's pcbs (kbdfans takka60, geon venom HE, tkd cycle8 HE PCB) the tech specs looks to be as good as wooting if not better
A very important aspect would be the latency. Other Hall effect keyboards KB's have failed on that front. We need to have tested this too.
All QMK boards suffer from an issue where multiple key events are registered as one per scan cycle which automatically make them unsuitable for competitive use. One person worked on a PR to address it in 2021 then abandoned it. No point in measuring latency until the issue is fixed as even a cheap OEM keyboard can currently outperform a QMK board.
Considering I payed another ~200$ on top for an alu case, Gateron Jades etc. for my 60HE to bring the quality, sound and feel up to the level of the Keychron, I would say this is actually a fantastic deal.
Magnetic Jade Switch is the GOAT switch for the wooting
No Boog75 or Atomic Studio?
There already is a Wooting competitor, but most people aint in the custom keyboard scene, so they have never heard about it and its the Akko Mod 007B HE. I have a Wooting two and the Mod007B and i would almost always go for rhe Mod 007B. I played Osu with both and they perform pretty much the same. Sure you can lower the response time at wooting to almost 1ms but its not very noticeable.
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ You're trolling
Maybe a razer huntsman competitor but not wooting
@@Dubulcle ok bro what ever you say, i can speak from expierience
I want to get the akko mod007v3 year of the dragon because it looks insane, would it be a good decision over the wooting60he?
Can you review Vgn Vxe Dragonfly R1 Pro? It's cheap mouse and feels so expensive
those gps gamers really need that quick rapid trigger ey
Can i just run it wired?
If you think this keyboard is a competitor to Wooting, you should check out the Akko MOD 007B HE. It's nearly identical to the keychron with the build quality and typing experience. It has rapid trigger, dks, mod tap and has 3-pin mechanical switches on the other side of the PCB in case you ever want to stop using the magnetic switches. And it's only $165.99
Considering the features - 2.4Ghz (1000Hz polling), QMK/VIA support, I would definitely choose Q1 HE, but the price was out of my budget, so I went with V1 Max mechanical switches with Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow (really like them and used them on my older modded K2 v2), didn't like the Gateron Jupiter Banana switches at all. I have ordered TTC Silent Frozen V2 switches to replace Gateron to make it more silent. Also got a set of Cherry PBT Double-Shot Dark Blue/Black keycaps (that comes with Xinmeng A66 keyboards), and I am really liking this V1 Max now.
But, my next keyboard, in two years time, definitely will be based on magnetic switches and 75% layout. BTW, if Drink Deer A75 had 2.4Ghz and good software that would be my choice considering it will be
we need review on EGG OP1 8K
how about monsgeek m1w HE?
What about the Boog75?
still waiting for ducky to make one with magnetic switches bc i love being able to customize every settings without using any software/web browser
Where is the Endgamr Gear KB65HE?
ehh i'll wait another few years for wuque studio to start making hall effect switches that sound like morandis and for meletrix to come out with hall effect pcb for the zoom.
a hall effect zoom75 is my dream end game keyboard, but until then i'll just stick with mechanical switches. i'm not willing to sacrifice how good my keyboard feels and sounds for a 0.7% increase in gaming performance.
Isn't that just the BOOG75? Once meletrix comes out with their own switch I'm sure you'd just be able to swap out the KS-37B they currently have.
Comment on the Software. Great: you can use qmk keycodes with the anykey under custom. Bad: the available functions for one key multiple commands are currently very limited. And as you pointed out no way to save the profile or download before fw updates or if you want to go back to what worked after you screwed up by too much fumbling around
I plan on getting a Wooting next month, this keyboard had my attention til the price.
I think that I found my next keyboard.
Good Vid, you should try the Akko Mod 007 he
It just sounds like a lubed 60he, only reason I was considering this board was for the sound so kind of disappointed. Good thing I got 80he on preorder and for a lower price
what about akko MOD007B?
What about the polar 65
0:18 i actually bursted out laughing ffs
Attack shark also launched hall effect kb, attack shark k85. And it's the cheapest on market currently ~55$ from aliexpress. Would be great to see review
Have you tried the endgame keyboard?
I bought a drunkdeer and it immediately stopped working 😅
Sound wise leagues ahead of the wooting, still doesnt really thock though. Im happy that my controller has analogue triggers anyway so i can get a custom keeb😝. Sad that i suck on keeb though🙁.
Nobody buys these keyboards for their analogue modes lmao
you should consider taking a look at the akko mod 007HE
my dad bought a keychron for work purposes I literally steal it from him whenever I go back to their house that's how good it is lmao
I guess I’m confused on the obsession with Wooting. I have the steelseries apex pro mini, and it also has rapid fire, adjustable Hall effect switches. Had no idea it was such a big deal when I bought it nearly two years ago.
Your hand writing style is just beautiful. So jealousy.
never been told that in my life
wooting 80he has the new rappy snappy feature and its actually 8kh instead of 1khz, and it sounds better than the 60he one and it has a gasket mount
I myself also have a tank with a knob
i bought the Boog75 he kills a wooting the build is amazing
Wooting 80HE has 8k Polling Rate 🤓
yup cbf 8khz 8k fps
and 8000hz scan rate which is also very important. Lots of boards claim 8000hz polls but scan at 1khz so it's pointless
@@Yrubully64GD bro what in gods earth did you say “ yip cbf 8khz 8k fps” what would run that a rtx 10990
@@Beenlong the geometry dash mod called click between frames (CBF for short) uses hardware polling rate instead of fps, so 8khz is essentially 8000 fps
@@Yrubully64GD you don't know your shit bro, 8khz is an increment to input lag/smoothness, not refresh rate
Great Review as always, would you be able to test the response time difference between these keyboards and a normal keyboard in another video pls.
Pls try ATK68 keyboard very good keyboard!
As long as it doesn't have a 3-split or 4-split space bar I wouldn't consider it a real competitor. Just something equal.
Keychron is amazing for budget builds. I love my K8 Pro but question the 1khz implementation they present whereas with Wooting they're completely transparent about goals in mind and actively listen to their community as they pave forward to better things. Even if the polling rate was stable and properly implemented it's hard not to support a company like Wooting for setting such an intense standard for all these clones to follow.
For an average user though, the appeal of getting a taste of those standards put out on top of a solid-sounding keyboard for a lesser price is hard to ignore. I don't mind throwing extra money towards a passionate company like Wooting but can totally understand if someone else doesn't see the value in it.
0:17 i lost it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice keyboard. I would like to see over 1k pollin wired and at least .2mm but still nice.
You should try the ATK RS7
Waiting for ya to try out the Meletrix Boog75, because that's a HE keyboard designed by one of the best *custom* keyboard manufacturers (made especially famous by their Zoom lineup of keyboards especially the Zoom75).
wait fr? i JUST commented about how im not gonna get a HE keyboard until meletrix makes a HE pcb for the zoom. i was saying i can't sacrifice how good my keyboard feels for such a small increase in performance, but if meletrix is already doing it i might have to buy soon.
@@bookies24k8 yea, the released the boog75 and they also sell the HE module on its own. Although i wish i have a zoom75 to use the module only
@@bookies24k8 Yeah you can buy an HE PCB for the Zoom75 right now and drop it into the existing case as far as I know.
Nah, Meletrix is an awful company. 2 months with no response from their support team. Not ever buying from them again.
Keep look into atk rs7 pro
The Wooting 80HE is closer to the same layout as the Q1 HE, but costs 199 just for a plastic case. You can also order it in a premium Zinc case for 289. Yeah, no. I agree that the Keychron is probably the best option unless you specifically want a 60% that's lighter weight.
And yet, I still beat every hyped Wooting user in FPS games :D
MOM GET THE CAMERA I MADE IT INTO A DIAMOND LOBBY VIDEO
What about akko 007b pc he, akko007v3 year of dragon edition, and monsgeek m1w he? They're much cheaper and not much of complains about them. I'm amased how you missed them, but told about drunkdeer.
Inferior software, limited customizability of rapid trigger and non changeable switches (bc pcb only supports 2 switches, which don't sell separately). Hardware is pretty nice tho (I have both 60he and mod007pc so that's from my own experience)
try the arbiter polar 65
I would say it’s a good alternative for the people who want the 80he but don’t want to wait the wait times of stock and delivery of wooting kbs
But wooting have mastered 1.the feel 2. Actuation 3. analog 4. Rapid trigger
The only thing they haven’t mastered is production which is double edged sword you can get partners to help distribute it so meaning you can put more time into production thing is partners in the business spac can be heavily manipulated. And in my opinion Top selling brands like Razer, steelseries haven’t yet to master rapid trigger and perfect it
Mostly due to the keyboard’s not going down to a 0.1 actuation,
Whilst Ik the apex pro mini does go down to 0.1ms actuation it has had this bug for a while now where it’s delayed or doesn’t pick up the actuation (has happpened on 3 of my apex pro steelseries products 1 being the 2019 version (which I didn’t expect it to take the new update since it was mainly for their new releases )
But tried it on the 2023 version and still the same issue, then tried it on a friends mini and it happened on that aswell
Razer I personally haven’t tried yet nor do I think I ever am unless my wooting 60HE breaks (cause I can’t endure waiting 2 and a half months for a jb) but from what I heard and what I read it seems to be not 0.1ms actuation and the rapid trigger isn’t using the same technology as like wooting or even steelseries so unless both don’t fix them issue in their new batches wooting has the chance to become the best selling keyboard out there they just need to up production and availability worldwide, and really stop giving pro players exclusivity before their customers who have purchased the product (which I understand it’s for reviewing) but what’s to say you can fly out 3 pros each from different titles to test ur product,
All in all we’re not innovating enough for keyboards these days while mouses are and in my opinion keyboards are the most innovative idk it could be the lack of ideas or something
But most company’s these days just lack on the production factor more than the innovation factor
I feel like the standardisation in HE keyboard scene is non-existent or very lacking at most. If u buy any HE board right now u are locked with whatever switches company have chosen for this board. I would love the board with custom keyboard feel like q1 he or boog 75 but with bigger range of switches to choose from and good software. Right now my only option is 60he module, tofu redux and jade switches but it's too expensive.
