    the shell has "strategic flex points" to make it light. Supposedly they made it flex in spots where people don't put pressure on so it doesn't affect performance. They said something about the shell will always snap back and not break, assuming you aren't gripping it that hard like that

      i'm not aware of the qc issues of the ulx cheetah and tiger, but i do know that most of the issues with batch 1 of ulx lion have been resolved with batch 2
      this might not be the case for for the cheetah and tiger though, as finalmouse's history shows they sometimes don't resolve qc issues very well (for example, the last batch of the starlight, the last legend, still has some qc issues like misaligned back hump and crooked scroll wheel)

    I do own a ULX, and it has really bad side flex (just resting my pnky on it causes flex). I have a shipping label to send it back, but haven't gone that route yet. Mine weighs 38.5g. My Beast X however, is rock solid, and weighs 39g. There is no reason that they had to go with carbon at that weight. For .5g they could have still had magnesium and not had to worry about all the growing pains. If someone were to ask me, I would always direct them to the Beast X over the ULX, it's just not worth it.

    • @Rainsoakedcoat
      @Rainsoakedcoat 8 месяцев назад +12

      Dave, you're not being fair. They had a great reason why they needed to go with 'carbon (plastic)' instead of magnesium; carbon fiber is so much cheaper as a material and to machine compared to magnesium. It's a budget 190 USD gaming mouse.

      Yeah it being a "carbon fibre composite" and being praised for being so revolutionary materials wise means nothing. It's not an actual full carbon fibre weave. Carbon fibre composite just means its a polymer with some carbon fibre sprinkled in. How much? How strong is it compared to regular un reinforced polymers? noone knows. Seeing how other manufacturers have gotten really close in weight by using regular plastics, I doubt it is that special

    This is a very subjective review. I’ve had no problems myself regarding the feel of the mouse. If you don’t like the hex holes or feel of the mouse - there are literally pictures of the mouse and tons of reviews out before you buy it. I’ve had my own problems with the mouse including the left mouse button somehow interacting with the scroll wheel function. Other than that, this mouse feels exactly as it looks. In addition I would say the mouse performs the best on a glass mouse pad with aftermarket skates (teflon, not glass skates). Click bait title (got me), but no real reason to not buy the mouse other than you don’t like it.

    After owning 3 finalmouse and with a ULX on the way, their batteries never really have problems staying down and thats with intense use over about a year and a half of every day usage. Also i think one thing everyone should consider whilst buying a finalmouse is the resell value, if you manage to pick one up in a drop and find out its not really for you, most of the time youre able to get more than your money back through ebay or stockx. If you end up enjoying the mouse even better.

For reference, Razer has always been the king of overpriced PC peripherals and they're most expensive mice are the Deathadder V3 Pro at $270, Basilisk V3 at $300. The Viper Signature was around $360aud I believe, still not even close to the minimum price of an Ultralight X.

    Bro you're not going to hold your mouse on the top anyways. Why does it matter if it flexes there? They also did that to lose the weight. It's a good decision. It only rlly needs to be rock solid on the sides tbh. I've been using mine for a few weeks and I've had 0 issues. This is such a nit picky review. Like it's a 38g mouse they obv need to make some kind of optimization to achieve that kind of weight. This is by far the best mouse I've used. I hit higher scores in Kovaak's immediately after getting this mouse and my aim feels much crispier. It was 100% worth it. If you're rlly trying to go for build quality then go buy a gpro or viper. An ultralight mouse is just not going to be for u.

That was the last time I bought anything from FinalMouse which sucks because the Ultralight 2 Cape Town was pretty good but that was the last good mouse they released. Idk why so many people are trying to squeeze these mice for a test. Like if you’re death gripping a mouse you shouldn’t be buying one that is more holes than body. Plus why such a hard grip? If you want to death grip a mouse get something like the razer basilisk x hyperspeed….

    Is there any brand that make it cheaper and SOLID - without damn holes?
    I don't care about weight that much - ~40-50g would be fine. But size is perfect.

      Sure, the tilt forward has a very nice angle, the buttcheeks have a very ergonomic design and the splash damage from the dump dropping covers a massive area, highly recommend chinabonebearings7359's fat dump 10/10

    I would never buy this at full price, but I managed to get a deal for one at $120 CAD or $90 USD. the original buyer bought like 2 of each size or something insane like that. its on its way now and I'm excited to try it given how much I paid.

    Finalmouse is an uncredible company. The pricing is high but it's still so similar to a superlight x, the ulx is still better then a superlight even with those issue. I hope they get resolved in the future. I think the company really screwed up the marketing this time

    • @even1313

    • @CosmicLF
      @CosmicLF 8 месяцев назад

      @even1313 yeah and the carbon fiber feels a little bit better in the hand but it's not really important
      the superlight is better than the ulx for durability for sure
