  • The Ford Maverick has been a game changer in the small truck category. No one competes and it shows with wait times on the pup truck. Spy photos of a potential 2025 Maverick keep popping up but little is known about the updates. Do you buy the 2024 Maverick or wait and see potential long wait times ordering the truck?

This is the absolute best truck in existence. Love this thing🤙

They were difficult to get, but not anymore. Our dealership has 14 in stock and they are not moving. If you like the truck buy it. The 2025 will cost 4,000 more for each trim level and all you are getting is a facelift and large screen with Sync 4. The AWD hybrid will be a $3500 add on.
FYI you can buy a large screen for any maverick for $2800....

I purchased a 2024 Maverick. Ordered it in July 2023. Took delivery in January 2024. I chose the xlt in Atlas blue and AWD with 4k towing. No accessories added at the time I ordered it. Just because it would have taken longer to get. I did add the lane sensor to the build, but other than that, no other options were added. I did have my dealer order a soft rollup Ford bed cover, and I had them do a spray in liner before taking delivery. Live this truck.

I just got 2 XLs. Both 24, cactus grey, one hybrid and one with AWD and 4k. Both just added 360 and tow PKG.
You can buy a harness and a regulator to get a remote locking unlocking tailgate. No coding needed.
However, you can get a LOT more functions from the truck if you get ForScan

One of the main reasons it sold so well was the price. I am worried they will add a bunch of crap people don't want and increase the price.

I think your finger slipped on the building because if you look at the video (time stamp 6:03) you'll see that it says Advanced All Wheel Drive instead of the standard all wheel drive. I was able to get the standard version without adding a package to it.
If I was shopping for a Maverick, I'd buy now and not have to worry about the refresh price increase.

Exactly, better to buy now than pay inflated costs.

The FX-4 package also gives you a bigger instrument cluster which is nice for showing the degree roll information

Curious about the all wheel drive hybrid. TFL showed a spy photo someone took.

I went with white, for several reasons. Don't get me wrong I like several other colors maybe even moreso. I just worked at a dealership and had different colors over the years which eventually the advantages of white showed itself. I can't tell you how many times people came in with trade-in that had faded. So it's usually not if your going to get bodywork but when. Also seen paint especially metal flake that didn't match is a other issue. Certain paint especially black is not only difficult to keep clean living on a dirt road but easily can get swirl marks. White I can touch without burning my hand easy to clean and hides some dust and dirt. Also if white reflects sunlight to stay cool to the touch it also keeps a lot of electrical wires and connections from the heat as well. The bad on white is what little rust usually stands out. Just thought I would comment on color which the video asks. Just for the record if going off road your chances of needing bodywork is increased significantly. Not just slipping to the side hitting a tree or obstacles but just going down a two track and brush scraping the side. Or hitting a stick and is thrown up hitting the side of the truck. So from my experiences or witnessing others dealing with imperfections with different colors, I opted for white.
The FX4 is a good choice and a good bang for the buck looking at what is included with it. I also opted for the 4K tow and upsize on tires going from Perilli's scorpion p225 AT to Falken Wildpeaks p235 AT. Helps in stability, ground clearance and traction. It comes with different wheels than what's on the FX4 as well.
Just want to add a few reasons for wanting a real spare tire or suggesting it. If you are carrying a load, remember it's a truck. The real tire should handle the extra weight better than a doughnut. Especially which you already mentioned you may not be near a place to repair the tire. In the old days gas stations were full service, now it's a rarity, just selling fuel and sometimes pop and beer. Lastly in a similar situation if your off road or even in deep snow the real spare tire should help or be better for traction than a doughnut.
Before ordering what you want please check with your dealership. One make sure they have allocation and ask if anything your wanting will slow up getting a build date, or scheduled. When I ordered mine I dropped my tonneau cover and ended up ordering online. Another is remember Ford offers Ford pass and points for purchasing a Ford product those points can be used at your dealership post delivery.

29 Jun 24. Went to dealer and did a deep dive on this topic. Exterior changes are becoming apparent, but what about the Interior? We agreed it would mimic the Escape. Digital dash, Large Info screen, perhaps new dash and seat material. Additional features? Fog lights? Power passenger seat? AWD for hybrid? I LIKE some of these possibilities. Cost??? Thought about this overnight. ***Decided I did not want to loose physical buttons for radio and A/C.*** Info screen would seem too big for me and control everything. That was really the pivot point. On the lot was what I would have ordered. 2024 Lariat Hybrid Black Package. 25 miles on it, new, $35900 (below msrp) and good trade value on MY22 Maverick Hybrid LUX. Made the deal. Satisfied customer.

I would not go with the factory tonneau cover. I got mine on Amazon for $400.00 and it's a hard fold. It works great. FX4 with luxury package.

If you go into 30 plus K, then go for a bigger better truck
Unless you live in the city and absolutely need a small truck

I really like my 2024 Maverick XL. Mine is cactus gray. It drives and handles great and is averaging between 28 and 29 miles per gallon. My only options were trailer hitch, full size spare, and rubber bed mat. At less than $25,000 dollars, I think it was a great buy. I waited 552 days to get it and received $1,000 private offer. Many people go for all the options and pay over $35,000 for the truck. Beware of the prices, since most do not include the $1,595 shipping fee when advertising.

Had a Lariat 2.0 AWD. Awesome vehicle. Sold it and bought a Bronco. Added another Maverick 2.0 XLT FWD back to the stable. Azure. Looks great. XLT is best trim for the money. Lariat is over priced. $40 tailgate lock is so the tailgate can’t be easily stolen. XLT tailgate has power lock.

I love my ‘24 white AWD Mav XLT! One thing I do not like is the passenger seat does not adjust height unless you get the luxury package.

Got a 24' Lariat Tremor on the way. Price point is why this pickup is awesome. A refresh + new infotainment = 2k+ increase imo. Not really worth it.

Atlas Blue I like looks awesome but I wish the Ford did not kill off Anti Matter Blue from the Bronco. That's a awesome color I saw that color on a Bronco when Ford came out with the vehicle. Michigan brought two Broncos to my local ford dealership and one had the Anti Matter Blue on it such a cool color my mom and I both like that color.
