With using WBLOCK, it's possible that the reason the "Objects" option (drawing 2.dwg in your example) was smaller than the "Entire Drawing" option (drawing 1.dwg) because the "Objects" drawing doesn't save the Paper Space information whereas the "Entire Drawing" option does include Paper Space objects.

When I send a DWG to the truss manufacturer, I just do a "Save As" and then delete all of my details and tabs.
Then, I do a Purge All and send it off.
In these days of 16, 32 and 64 GB RAM memory computers with RTX and GTX graphics cards, this is never an issue, personally.
Also, when selecting multiple elements, no need to invoke a command.
Just select and go to the properties palette and you can see all of the items selected and choose which to alter.

Sir, Sometines when I open some dwg file, the message reads "This was saved by other application not developed by Autodesk" which are these other applications which can save file in dwg format ?
