This dude is quickly going to become the best blender guy on yt. Every video so far has been a banger. Great step by step explanations, easy to digest, super informative. Thank you very much for the work you put in.
Hey! if you're finding the finger prints look too round or unnatural, try bringing the white value closer to the black on the colour ramp that comes out of the magic texture! I found it flattens it and makes it look more realistic :))
I just started learning blender a week ago and gotta say, your channel is a hidden gem. Love the vibe, the content, everything! You're gonna be great man, keep up the good work and thank you for helping us!
OMG THANK YOU!! Im also wanting to ask you if possible, can you make a video on how to use the Claydoh shader you metioned at the end of the video? I'm a beginner and really curious to learn about this cool effect! THANKSSSSS
Hi. When I try to move the empty plane even after following the settings you applied on the displacement modifier, , nothing happens . What could be wrong?
Once you make the clay shader how do you save it? I want to be able to create characters and use the shader freely or do I have to make it manually everytime?
Maybe I'm missing something. But when I move the my character around with the shader on the texture seems to stay put while the character moves around. Is there a way to have the texture stay where it is? Or does this only work on stationary models?
What kind of format would you put this into? I made a character with an armature, exported it to FBX but the texture didn't go with it because now it's just the base color.
I'm confused how did you change it back to color when for me it stays black and white. You magically change it back to the red color when mines stays black and white. This is the time stamp I'm confused? 3.28
In a separate blend file, I had the camera pointed down at planes that represent the different parts of the face and then I used shapekeys to animate the eyes and mouth. Then I rendered it out and set the video as the material for the screen with some glass roughness and surface imperfections in my final render.
If you can find one that works well, that's great! I just didn't want anyone to have to download anything and I wanted to have full control of the look.
Can't you just skip the first setup steps by enabling the Mesh: Extra Objects built-in addon, and then adding a Round Cube object with radius set to >1?
@@PlanetaryLuke Thanks for the vid btw! Will definitely try it out in the future :D Right now I need to make a heavily oxidized copper material, think you know how to do it without an overcomplicated setup?
hello ! do u know how to bake the animation into something like unity? i baked the actual shader just fine but not the stopmotion effect.im a huge fan of this style and wanna use it in my game thanku
sparing the default cube is crazy.... such mercy....

How did you make the 8-bit face? Also awesome vid!

why hasn't he uploaded!! come on these are such good vidoes
like actually, wheres my boy at
It´s called BSDF!
yoo lol you just made 8-bit from brawl stars
Hi. When I try to move the empty plane even after following the settings you applied on the displacement modifier, , nothing happens . What could be wrong?
how did u import the shader?....i cant figure it out
Once you make the clay shader how do you save it?
I want to be able to create characters and use the shader freely or do I have to make it manually everytime?
You can use the asset library feature built into blender!
hi! does this work for blender 4.2?
I'm curious to know what the process would be like to transfer this over to Unreal?
Maybe I'm missing something. But when I move the my character around with the shader on the texture seems to stay put while the character moves around. Is there a way to have the texture stay where it is? Or does this only work on stationary models?
What kind of format would you put this into? I made a character with an armature, exported it to FBX but the texture didn't go with it because now it's just the base color.
Never mind, I found out what the asset library is...
how do you get the something important thing
Hey by the way - how did you animate 8-Bit's face? (I'm assuming that's 8-Bit LOL) I've been trying to figure out a way of animating screens
in a separate file I pointed an orthographic camera down at 3 planes and used shape keys to animate the mouth and eyes.
@@PlanetaryLuke Ah, do you have some sort of tutorial or something? Or like where did you learn to do what?

sorry, I probably missed something, how did he just preview that node and what is it plugged into? thanks.
He plugged that node to the Material Output. If you enable the Node Wrangler add-on you can do it with ctrl + shift + left click
thank you!@@bocatadeclavos1274

Never mind i found an issue
8 bit
How do I change the colour of 1 object without changing the entire shader
You can just duplicate the current shader and change the color on the separate object. That's what I'd do !
Ok thanks
i cant find the musgrave texture in the shader
Musgrave texture is now included inside the noise texture node as of blender 4.1
@@PlanetaryLuke thanks
Nice clay! Just for info it's BSDF and not bdSF
Thanks! Haha I don't know how I missed that.
/ how's the texture for the eyes made on the demo thing
In a separate blend file, I had the camera pointed down at planes that represent the different parts of the face and then I used shapekeys to animate the eyes and mouth. Then I rendered it out and set the video as the material for the screen with some glass roughness and surface imperfections in my final render.
@@PlanetaryLuke btw how did u make that gltich effect for the eyes shader effet?
why not just use... an actual fingerprint texture? dope video!
If you can find one that works well, that's great! I just didn't want anyone to have to download anything and I wanted to have full control of the look.

@@PlanetaryLuke No problem man.
