new at blender, this seems straight forward though, thanks!
I cant be the only one hearing BDSF 😅
Perfect tutorial, been looking for this.
Thanks for video but my render gets blurry if I do 2 scale nodes (one 0.1 other 10) and if I do only one node and make pixelate 0.4 its a little bit blurry too its blender 4.2 version In earlier versions it worked and idk how to fix if😥
sparing the default cube is crazy.... such mercy....
"Here's what you do...go watch one of my other videos." Hate it when people waste my time putting this in the middle of the video....
You just confirmed that I can make sprites directly from Blender. That's gonna save so much time, thank you!
game changer

hi! does this work for blender 4.2?
I don't understand the keyframe part, can anyone help?
BLENDER 4.2: If anyone else is losing their mind like I was trying to figure out why the final composite is coming out blurry, you need to replace the second scale node (the one coming off of the pixelate node) with a transform node and set the scale through that
I did what you suggested, but there’s a problem. It renders, but it doesn’t show up for some reason.
@@hat_green What doesn’t show up exactly? The pixelation effect or the whole scene?
lov u <3
Omg thanks so much. I was losing my mind as well.
Ahah no more 69
Maybe I'm missing something. But when I move the my character around with the shader on the texture seems to stay put while the character moves around. Is there a way to have the texture stay where it is? Or does this only work on stationary models?
I'm having a problem with the greae pencil line-art modifier. See, I'm trying to create simple wire-frame UI animations like what we see in classic sci-fi. I make the objects and the world a simple flat RGB black. Then add a colored line-art modifer over it. But no matter what I do, the outline is too dark. Can you help me brighten it up?
when i try to do this the pixels are there, but very blurry. someone please help!
Apparently something in a recent update causes that when using the scale node now. Instead of using 2 scale nodes, replace the second one (the one coming off of the pixelate node) with a transform node instead and set the scale in that and it should be fixed
So, uh, that aspect ratio, huh?
Hi. When I try to move the empty plane even after following the settings you applied on the displacement modifier, , nothing happens . What could be wrong?
Thanks! Perfect
At 0.5 playback speed (i.e. normal speed in the circumstances), you sound like Chris Griffin.
Solidify Modifier, nice trick!
finally some turbo learning I like tutorials that are hardly compressed in short duration
dithering :((((((((((((((
thank you for this tutorial. It was really helpful and I even discovered a new earthbound remix lol! I've been having some trouble that i can't seem to solve by myself... I wanted to make a 3d scene with grease pencil outlines and add a 2d animation on top. I'm animating with krita, and wanted to add an image sequence containing all the frames, but when I add the image as a plane the strokes behind it are not rendered (even behind the transparent sections). I wanted the lighting of the scene to affect the image sequence, so I can't just add it in post unless I render the characters and backgrounds separately (which i'm trying to avoid). Is there a workaround to this issue?
How did you make the 8-bit face? Also awesome vid!
that's not pixel art
BSDF
this is really helpful, thanks!!!
okay game developers lets make the neverhood 2
Thank you for the information! Are these effects able to be exported as part of the model to a game engine like Godot?
how do we mask out parts of the line art modifier? i tried but it was very confusing. maybe i didnt do it the right way
i cant find the musgrave texture in the shader
Musgrave texture is now included inside the noise texture node as of blender 4.1
@@PlanetaryLuke thanks
evee won't render the image with the toon shading it only renders it flat
oh,I'll tag you on instagram when I do my street fighter-like animation
Your videos are so helpful, please keep making more
Also add posterize
Really easy and the exact tutorial I was looking for. Thanks a lot bro 🔥 Edit: Works in Blender 4.0+ too.
This is so cool, thanks!
I don't like the character you did, but I appreciate the learning component that you've shown
I had to search through about 80 blender grease pencil vids (that I had already watched) to find your tip about the intersection bug. I ran into this problem just now and vaguely remembered I watched someone fix that bug a few weeks ago.

principled BDSF? you're a kinky one.
pardon my ignorance what blender are you using?
how do you get the something important thing
Why didn't youtube show me this VID first....... WHYYYYY
Thank you for this, amazing!
What kind of format would you put this into? I made a character with an armature, exported it to FBX but the texture didn't go with it because now it's just the base color.
Never mind, I found out what the asset library is...
Thank you very much; subscribed! What I like about this technique vs Freestyle, is you can see what you're going to get before rendering.
why hasn't he uploaded!! come on these are such good vidoes
like actually, wheres my boy at
