    I absolutely fell in love with this game just off the demo, and have spent quite a good bit of time on PS5, PS4 and PC! Here's some assorted things:
    •On the menu, if you press R2/RT, you can swap elements between the characters, and changing elements will change your job class. Playing as Val with no element equipped is way slicker than trying to fight with the broadsword he starts with.
    • It's one of the only PS5 games I've seen that lets you swap confirm back to the O button! (My personal preference)
    • If you dash by clicking the left stick, you vault over tiny obstacles in your way like fences and rocks without slowing down
    • When you change elements, the light bar on the PS5 will change colors to reflect it! Sadly, the PS4 nor the PC when using a DualSense will do this
    • While you can play the PC version with a Switch Pro Controller, it has a weird quirk where you can't run at full speed at diagonals. Granted, Switch Pro is not listed as a supported controller, but it works otherwise

    2:48 for those who Just started Playing this Demo.
    I Want you to know that You Can Switch Weapons for Each Character! And the only way to do so, is to switch ELEMENTAL VESSELS in the Gear Inventory!
    As Far as I know, you only Get two Vessels! Sylph and Luna!
    But you are able to Swtich between All Three Characters! With Our Main Male Protag having Three Very Different Weapons With each Form!
    Believe it or not! There is a Base Form for All Three Characters!

    you can change weapons if you change classes!
    I ended up really loving this demo and preordering the game. like, everyone else keeps saying they spent an hour in it... I somehow spent 5 hours exploring lol. I LOVED the vibes of this game and I'm just in the mood for a really great action RPG. my biggest issues are that I got stuck underneath the boat during the final boss battle which seems like a really bad bug to get and also that Morley is EXTREMELY uncanny valley and I don't enjoy looking at him lmao sorry Morley

    The mid air movement actually looks good. No clumsy gimmicks like ff15

    You can change your party members' element classes. You just have to dequip them first.

    Really hope Square Enix keeps going down this path with some of their franchises. The comment the president made a couple of weeks ago about "missing" the Genshin boat seems to already be paying in dividends.

    Combat felt kind of sluggish. I was using dodge to dash into the enemies.

    I haven't played it, but it looks amazing! Something that I have been hoping with SE's Action RPGs is that there is a way to be able to get benched party members to be quicker to switch into as I don't like how it needs to be done manually when the games difficulty normally doesn't require it. Maybe they could make combinations that you can set and there is a button for switching to that party configuration.

      @@Shinky I know that one, but I mean for characters not in the main party. With FFVII Rebirth, I would just stick with Cloud, Aerith and Red XIII.

    Regarding your comment about hoping the demo performs better on PC - not the case unfortunately dude. General consensus is that it’s running fine on consoles, and horrible on PC. Which I can confirm, I’ve got a beastly PC and the demo runs VERY badly. But I’m hoping it’s just a demo thing and the proper launch will clear it up, cos yeah I’ve been a huge mana fan since secret of mana as a kid. Super hyped!

    Did you miss the class change part? Val has a different class that lets him use a pike instead of a broadsword.

    I have not played the demo yet. I love the artwork. On its face, it looks a lot Tales-y. I'm still excited about it; I need something to wash away the taste of Dawn of Mana

      Looks like it’s only single player. I didn’t see an option for multiplayer.
      Trials of Mana’s remake didn’t have multiplayer so I would say it’s unlikely that visions of mana would have it either

    This game definitely looks fun! I'll probably put it on my xmas wishlist if nothing else, since you know for personal reasons I'm unable to purchase it atm. I almost want it specifically for the dogadillo thing to ride around on. lol

      I love Pickul, it’s such a fun travel method. I hope you can get this game soon. It’s definitely looking to be a game of the year, outside of performance issues

    Cutscenes choppy, voice acting bad, char design meh, gameplay shrug. Def nowhere close to game of the year contender lol. Looks like a switch title tbh. ZZZ best game out so far this year, smooth gameplay and hands down best cutscene animations.

    Played the demo honestly didn't like it combat is sluggish and clunky and not the best a bit slow. locking on to an enemy is bad half the time camera would just completely zoom out voice acting is good and visuals are nice

      Did you try playing as Morley? He’s much more fluid, I’m sure there’s going to be other weapon styles too that play less sluggish. That being said, as I’ve been playing through the mana games, combat has never been its strong suit really

      To put it simply, the game when i played the demo and compare it to other actionie combat games, the sluggish ness is definitely showing its face. With despite the `extra whistles on it`, it doesnt feel much different then many other games:
      -Special attack gauge, except its shared across the party so you cant do something amazing like back to back special attacks.
      -`equippable skills` that become half redundant thanks to having both the skill ring and the hotkey part where some games restrict the moves to just 4 buttons (maybe 6 or 8) in combat. But your honestly just gonna keep most buffs/heals on the ring and likely the attack skills on the hot keys once you have more then 4 skills, which you dont really reach unless you do the next one.
      -Equippable SKILL seeds: Aka kind of makes the point of having both a skill tree and skill seeds seem slightly redundant since both act as acquiring passives and attack moves, with the latter being extremely generic stuff, though most of the skills just end up being specific element damage moves with not much else to them, especially shown with the M.C. having both Fireball and explosion and you only want fireball if you wanna cast it mid air and explosion if you want a beeger boom, but since the character is more of a high durability knight, no point using magic on them when your gonna be using your mp to charge his melee attacks and use the skill passive to get a +20% attack bonus when an element is on the character instead.
      -Class changes: Technically pretty redundant since outside of slightly different triangle attack gimmicks and some stat tweaks, the characters get all the skills(and passives?) of the skill tree plots. Doesnt help further the special attack is semi redundant since outside of being Class`less and the main character, the Cat swordsman and dragon shrine maiden have literally the same weapon and special class attack for the most part.
      -Equipment shenigans: Because each character has multiple weapons, this means its gonna be a fun economy of constantly getting weapons for not only each character but multiple weapons for each character, which also leads into them semi-spoiling by the first town in the demo having multiple weapons you cant even use yet.
      -Backtracking that is potentially gonna be in the worst case, normally its normal for a game to have backtracking, but since the demo had MOST of the element stones unable to be harvested and likely more then one location you cant even access until you get what i assume will be a mid-late game spirit vessel, its rather frustrating especially when the map ends up being rather ridiculously large.
      -Taking improper pages out of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth`s note book: Namely how clunky it is with traveling on the mount and how SLOW it is to dismount and you are literally immune to getting in combat while on the mount, since enemies just get knocked aside and fully heal up...Doesnt help either SAID ENEMIES, are spaced out ridiculously far, making it rather hard to go LEVEL GRINDING, when the `challenge content` is just terrible.
      -Aerys are just stupid in general, Its literally a battle arena and kill all enemies ASAP, since you first encounter one fairly early in the demo, you would think its gonna be the tutorial to aeries, NOPE.AVI damn thing has enemies in the level 12~16 range where most players are likely not even level 11 yet...I literally had to go spam dozens of fights and track down all the NAMED Nemesis enemies to get massive exp bonuses just to get in the level 12~13 range, still get my arse kicked with the time limit, then had to reach town, get the updated weapons/armor, get another 2~ levels then i finally cleared it...
      Reward? A moon element ability seed attack and thats freaking it, Should of o alot more since you CANT GET EXP OR MONEY FROM IT, should of honestly gave 30 freaking golden clovers on top of the ability seed, which none of the characters have much use for it, since the game is not the best with an elemental system using some jargon it kinda rushed on thru.
      -Finally, its got the same annoyance i find in many games that most of the time, end up being bad: Spamming you with large paragraphs of text and several pages of showing layouts of using the controls, doing so repeatedly easily a good half way into said demo and just be an easy forgettable barf fest of information jargon, instead of maybe having a demo at the START of the game instead to EASE you into the controls with more hands-on teaching combat/controls, like Final fantasy 16 followed the proper tradition todo such things.
      That way, they could have a second part of the demo that could have more advanced gameplay aka what the demo actually was, just minus all the show up prompts except shortend ones for more unique things like the elemental vessels and what not.
      Seriously, i already got PTSD trauma`d hard by that crap with Star ocean the divine force that i still cant consider picking up that game on a 50~80% discount even when i HAVE nothing else to play at the time, much less even fully complete the demo with how much i got information jargon buried by it.
