Biggest Hits in College Football History | Part 2
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 30 сен 2024
- A compilation of the biggest and hardest hits in College Football History. This includes huge blocks, body slam plays, trucks, and bone shattering tackles. Some of these big hits were legal, while others were penalized for targeting, but in all of the plays the receiver of the hit was very sore the next day. Let me know if there are any plays that you believe should be in part 2. I have well over 100 clips prepared for this series, but I only used 50 of the best ones for this video. Feel free to comment suggestions for future compilation videos. Enjoy!

Ok?😂 I would fine them to if they hit a star player like mahomes like that
Was a clean hit. 👌
The hit Mahomes at 2:32
two things: 1, the non-targeting hits are the more fun ones to watch imo 'cause nobody's dying on the field. and 2, I appreciate the random Nebraska clips thrown in from the 90s
Black shirts defense, Nebraska seniors were deadly defensively.
The John Ruud hit was from '78.
I didn't see any targeting, just football. If you want less contact, go play soccer.
What about when we laid out the K-State kick returner

@@johnathanpatrick6118 that was a very disappointing bowl game

@Ryker Jett To you. I don't see what's trash about it.
Truth. He was a great qb. That game against Fresno St, and then Georgia started his concussion problems.
hitting a defenseless player and then dancing around like you did something...
are talking about hospital passes because thats the defenders job to hit the receiver when he tries to catch the ball. The receivers job is to eat that shit and catch the ball. The qbs job to avoid putting his receiver in that position

That UCF hit on Burrow cemented his toughness and got the respect of all of LSU. GOAT
And it unleashed the Heisman burrow

You should do an entire video on ball carriers laying out defensive players attempting to tackle them.
6:05 was the block of a lifetime 😂
7:46 how he stopped, looked at him, then went for the TD
11:59 that ref was more excited about the touchdown than the player.
what game is that? Who's playing?
Lmao at 13:55 the announcers talk about how Logan Thomas was projected as a TE. Took awhile, but he got there
10:26 nobody safe😂😂
My favorite will always be when Skalski nails Justin Fields in the ribs
And then Clemson got beat even worse.👍
Didnt go well for him did it
This is football... No what you are signing up for. Wish hits like this happened more often. WITHOUT the flags. Smearing the quarterback is the best. Shame this sport sucks now. Hockey is going the same route too. National sport.... Suck now. What is the fun when anybody gets hurt the rules change.... Screw em
1:57 the guy that made this hit is either out of or still in jail
This compilation makes me so grateful for the targeting penalty. It hurts so much seeing al these tackles just spearheading with the helmet and leaving the recipient of the hit frozen on the field. As much as big hits are fun to see, that rule has done more good for this sport than perhaps any other.
I agree with you, and I think some of these are not even necessary for the players to hit that hard.....nobody wants to end someone's career or worse, paralyze them.
I think the holding penalty does more for the sport.
@@BamaFanUSMC yes, some do
You should include some Craig Steltz hits if you do another one of these. He was a safety at LSU back in the 2000's dude was like a brick wall
They called and let stand targeting against Skalski when in reality it was a form perfect tackle.
Couldn't agree more. It was a hard hit and against a QB but I don't see targeting

14:19 you know it’s targeting when the gold paint comes off his helmet
Cadillac Williams....best name in the game
90% of big hits are head shots.
Damn, who was 13:45? This man was not giving up, and taking all the hits and grabs he could and it still needed a bunch to get him down! One of the most epic things I've seen. Wish I could have seen it live.
I believe Logan Thomas
I'm curious to know if some of these coaches taught their qb's to slide?
There's only one difference between a targeting call in the modern era. If you're on offense its good football. If you're hitting anyone aggressively on D, you're getting 15 & most likely ejected. Why don't they just accept these boys are jacked up on juice like the UFC? We all want to see someone get jacked up, within reason. Just bring in more knowledgeable officiating & treat these hits like a knockout.
Damn this should have been worst targeting of college football
10:40 Tackled by Ray bobafgtdhfdla Number 58 😅

Fencing position
For anyone that has never played the game. It's not easy to get a good clean hard hit on anyone and it's something all defensive players dream of.
That’s why I love when defensive players get cracked
Actually early this time
Just for reference, the hit on fields should only ever be shown on how not to tackle, not on a biggest hits compilation. Clemson player could have been paralyzed and I don't think that's a message you want to put out there.

That play being dangerous and it being a hard hit aren’t mutually exclusive. As a matter of fact, a majority of the plays in this series are very dangerous.
@@pschighlights Exactly. Most of the hits from the earlier tapes would be ejections Today.
At 13:45, that Virginia Tech QB literally acts like Beast Mode
One that is a great one is OU’s Trae Brown hit on Texas QB Sam Ehlinger that resulted in a safety. It was a defensive play you rarely have happen and was epic.
How did I even watch football before HD?

that first one was not a big hit yes it was hard but that was so weak that he used the crown and i remember watching that game
Jesus Christ is king 🙏❤️
Tony ''TD'' Dorsett recalls that day in Sept '75, when he and the Panthers strolled into Norman, Oklahoma. He however limped out after the game when he had a Rushing total of 17 yds and Pitt lost 46-10 lol (OU's Freshman RB Joe Washington had 166 yds). Tony was a fantastic RB in College and the NFL, he had over 6,000 yds in College setting that Record until Ricky Williams from Texas broke it. I believe that no other College Defense ever...what the News papers said....shackled Dorsett like that. Dorsett has laughingly said that he made Scott Hill a lot of money off that hit, and OU should 'grease' his palm because they owed him a lot of money lol.
Justin Fields is tough for taking that hit then coming back in the and then a little after throwing a touchdown pass
In the game
Ye
Nah that hit at 7:46 is the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen. Plowed him, stood there, and then continued on to score. Jesus

I hate how they talking shut about the QB while he was trying too get air

How many more guys have to break their necks and end their careers before they remember to keep their head up
3:00 are we gonna ignore how we all thought that was the man’s head flying down field and the defender picked it up

That hit on Danny etling was so good.
I don’t even have to watch the video to know that Clowneys hit is gonna be in here

Sad how both football and hockey have lost a significant portion of the old school physicality that used to be part of the game
Yep,but at least hockey still lets them throw down like men.
The amount of helmets that flew off whew🫣😫
Two points:
#1) GREAT edit! No long wait periods between highlights…just hit after hit after hit. Well done!
#2) ironic to see how so many of these hits would be penalized in today’s league. I’m glad player safety is thought about when establishing new rules, but there’s something I miss about the old school smashmouth football.
These are 18-22 year old kids. They didn't know how to play safely, because no one cared to teach them how to tackle and play safely and skillfully. It used to just be "try to give the other kid brain damage", instead of high-technique tackling. It's really sad how many of these guys are killing themselves or otherwise losing their minds because of hits like these. CTE is terrible.
"but there's something I miss about old school smashmouth football."
Brain damage?
A lot of them deserve to be penalized these days, though some don’t get flagged because they were never dirty (see one used from OU vs Texas for the prime example of clean and hard)
Some of these guys tried to jump before the hit. They went full airborne. Never go full airborne.
First clip is a great example of how not to tackle. Surprised he didn't paralyze his spine. Its a fundamental in football to have your facemask up when tackling. Somehow this gets lost with some players at higher levels
After watching THIS VIDEO, it becomes Clear why "helmet to helmet" Hits are no longer "Legal."

I like how that the guy from Delaware railed that dude so hard, he stopped playing. Not only that but he still scored.
Ahhhh the good ole days when you could still hit hard without being flagged for it. It’s a shame that players are now punished for playing to their full ability.
