Incidental contact being called targeting is really a blemish on the game. Guys hitting shoulders, pulling back their head to avoid contact and helmets tap… boom targeting, with no intent for head to head.
Yeah, I think they just need to remove Targetting because it literally makes it so hard for defensive players to tackle. NFL and College Organizations want to prevent head to head collisions, and you have to train your players to TARGET the body or other areas when hitting so that doesnt happen. It makes it impossible to play defense and ultimately hurts the sport. I'd rather have a player break his rib on a hard hit than have a brain injury.. thats just me.
@@galaxyswapper817 I get why the rule exists and for legitimately dangerous or clearly intentionally dangerous hits, it's not bad. I just hate when they call some that were incidental when the player led with a shoulder or tried to hit the chest, etc as a game misconduct ejection penalty when it shouldn't have been. They NEED better definition of what is and isn't that extreme level of penalization...
As an LSU fan, I loved seeing all the Aggies get excited about Max Johnson transferring. That hit vs. UCLA told us early on this year was going to suck. Dude holds onto the ball for 5-6 seconds. Have fun going 7-5 with him!
@@dylanthevillain1666 It’ll be a good litmus test for both teams to see what their progress has been over the course of these changes. LSU with a whole new coaching staff (and practically new roster), and FSU with a brand new offensive look. It’s going to be a good one!
I was at the game at 5:57. The crowd got silent. Then my dad screams, "YOU GOT KNOCKED THE *FUCK* OUT!" And that's when we realized he was legitimately hurt lmao
One of my favorite hits was by Jalen Carter 13:50 in the first quarter vs Vanderbilt. He played off his blocker and hit the running back into yesterday.
Probably done with them for this year I’ll do more rounds next year. Everyone was complaining on the first round video so I had no motivation to make videos for the other rounds.
Notice that the big hits that do not involve using the helmet as a weapon almost always have the person hit bouncing right up? It is the use of the helmet (ore the forearm) to the head that results in the real damage - hence the targeting rule. CTE is real. 4:42 is a great example of a player using their helmet as a weapon, a deadly weapon. 7:16 is another great example. Great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not trying to be that guy, but barely any of these would have made a list of big hits from the 80's and 90's. I'm grateful we have targeting, but the hits back then were just harder
Whoever came up with kicking a player out for targeting has never played a snap of football. Worse rule in history of college football. If you wanna call targeting fine ( I think it's a dumb call football is meant to be a sport where you get lit up like that) but don't kick out the kid for making a awesome football play.
I know these are from the fall 2021 season, but the biggest hit I can remember was from the FCS spring season, when JMU played Sam Houston in the semifinals. JMU received the kickoff after Sam Houston's TD, and the returner brought it out while one of the Sam Houston defenders came hard after him, and the player got knocked out after the helmet contact. The guy from Sam Houston wasn't moving at all. Thankfully he turned out to be okay.
What was your favorite big hit from this past college football season?
The first one
Same the first one
Daniel Green on KU’s QB
Mine is Sam Howell’s shot against the Wake defender that Sam ran in for a TD but it wasn’t on this list!
The Michigan vs wisconsin and the Washington one
The first hit sent him from a first rounder to the last pick in the draft
Edit- OMG thanks for the likes and Purdy for the likes 😂
And those awful turnovers against Clemson didn’t help either
@@pschighlights so true btw love your vids
@@pschighlights I hated both of those games
Boomer Sooner!
Brock Purdy still forgets his name on occasion after that hit.
Every time I see a perfect tackle and monster hit and then a flag comes out I audibly scream FUCK
It’s not the big hit that gets the flag it’s the bad tackling form and head hunting
2:14 My Man thought he was playing NFL Street the way he popped up!
I love it! No other way to bounce back from a hit like that. Just hop up and be like, "I'm good."
@@ericgamino478 He didn't just "hop up." The man did a whole ass kip-up.😂 Hilarious.
2:08 .. prolly the best way to play off getting lit up 😂👏🏾👏🏾
I watched that several times it was that good.
Big respect for going through all the games to get these highlights and keeping the original commentary. 🙌
PSC highlights is legit such a good channel. Thank you for getting us through the long summer.
2:07 the way he got up tho 🤣
Neo is out on the field

They have gotten so vicious with calling "targeting" that so much that ISN'T is flagged and penalized as if it was.

Refs like doing their little gang signs.
Just put flags and skirts on them.
My favorite is you can’t lead with you head except if you’re a running back and then it’s encouraged
Man I could feel some of these from my couch😮
2:07 I'm more impressed by the guy leaping back to his feet like that then I am the hit.

Hyped for the FSU LSU game
@Dylan the Villain Hyped for when Miami beats FSU 69-3

That Dawg defense was a hate crime! 🏆
Yes sir!
That’s an odd thing to compare it to
This video was one of the best hardest hits videos i’ve seen in a while !
I was at that boise state game! The atmosphere after that hit was CRAZY
I think if I took any of these hits I would be in a full body cast right now.
Shoutout the QB at 6:42 who got right back up after the big hit and made an effort to tackle the defender
I love when they get hit, the announcers voice usually changes or something, always adds extra strength lol
That block by the Georgia State player at 7:29 is just a terrible flag. Incidental contact after the player clearly led with his shoulder and arm.
Agreed terrible flag, let the players play
The roar at 4:20 that’s why I love football ❤️
0:36 This hit is so satisfying to watch
I gave many concussions but there is nothing like a TE getting hit popping up that rush like a drug . Crazy .

The South Carolina vs Flordia sack from Darius rush would have been a good one
we neeeeed a part 2
You Know It’s A Big Hit When The Crowd ROARS!!!!!!!!!!!!🐗🐗🐗
0:46 BOOM!!!! Here comes the BOOM!!!!!
I think we all need a 'Gus Johnson commentating' video
Now that's how you start a "Biggest Hits video.....!! laying the wood...! Salute to @pschighlights for the HBCU love too...!
Chaz Chambliss vs Michigan? Great vid tho
One of my favorite hits was by Jalen Carter 13:50 in the first quarter vs Vanderbilt. He played off his blocker and hit the running back into yesterday.
@Ryker Jett Thank You
That Ohio state vs Minnesota hit was vicious.
I don't want to nag but are you going to do best play for each 2nd & 3rd rounder like last year. Love the videos btw.
Probably done with them for this year I’ll do more rounds next year. Everyone was complaining on the first round video so I had no motivation to make videos for the other rounds.
Dang. Still a big fan of your content
I was in the end zone closest to that JL Skinner hit and we were going NUTS, just wish we would've won that game.
I was running up and down the stairs in the student section after that hit
i was at that OU Iowa State game. Crowd was Electric
Can't wait to watch Quay Walker do that to Justin Fields
Big boy football 💪🦾
god this makes me miss football nun like getting the big hit and the whole stadium making noise
My goodness I miss football

Kyle Hamiltons hit on Bell is crazy. What a hit. Watched that live in the stadium and it got quiet real fast. Glad David wasn’t seriously injured.
Idk how that player was able to escape that hit at 14:08
Love it!!!
You need more of skinner from Boise state he has some crazy hits
At 2:15, is it really a big hit if the dude you just tackled gets back on his feet with a Bruce Lee type technique ?
They don't let them just play anymore
You should make one if you can on the worst ref calls of the season.
College football hurry up please I’m ready.
What did he think was going to happen? Like did he think that since the defender isn’t on the FBS that he wouldn’t get murdered? Damn good hit. 10:09
It’s Tennessee. Hooker’s hands still had that McDonalds grease on them 😂
@@RushFanatic87 😂
Jameson Williams sounds like a type of whiskey.
where are the like 3 huge hits from Alabama against Miami week 1?
soccer is the beautiful game, football is the american game
1:22 Reggie bringing the west texas hit
2:22 cameraman gotta put the kush down
fun fact: the hit was so clean that Daxton Hill actually sent that QB to the hospital with broken ribs.
Bumper pool is the coolest name in college football
Some of these quarterbacks are accessories to murder with these hospital passes
So many unnecessary flags when hits are clean af
How in the world was the hit at 4:55 not called for targeting?
7:58 bro got it back in blood💀
They gotta do something about the targeting calls . If it's a big hit they automatically throw a flag then look at it
I think this shows the targeting rules are working, a lot less big hits to the head this year most seem to have better form
Ohio State hit on Cam Rising in the Rose Bowl was a huge hit too
15:20 all fairness defender went for the tackle before the qb started sliding
Biggest Spears 2021
Purdy getting killed was the perfect example of why you don’t turn the other way and keep your eyes down field oof
My question is how is it targeting if he’s like the punt returner shouldn’t he be the target
8:00 two big hits in a roll
2:09 how did the WR get up
These youngesters (Dam IT) 👍👍👍👍👍👍🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
All those unessary flags. I don't understand contact any more🤷🏿♂
You forgot Chaz chambliss hitting Blake Corum in the playoffs

Maybe that’s a good thing considering all the CTE studies ,I love football but we don’t need guys dying for it
I am a Minnesota fan the Ohio state hit should have been targeting
The one at 7:06?
As an OSU fan, you must be blind to think that is not targeting, dude should've been ejected.

Surely the Kentucky vs Tennessee hit with Slaughter was on here…
Isnt the jackson st one dieons son
Who else is getting ready for the next season?
so many of these have horrible targeting calls 😔
Imagine watching one of your players get smoked by a kicker and then you yell at the kicker...classy. 3:55
At 7:15 the reciever had clesr Possession then took 3 steps and got wrocked and dropped the football that's a fumble

seems like every big hit is flagged because......why?
Dumbest part now are good clean hits on the QB are being taken away from the “he hit to hard” penalty 👎🏻
Each action has an equal and opposite reaction! Watch! 🤣🐹
They going to have a rule you can only tag the qb.
I stopped watching most football because refs started throwing flags anytime people play football.
7:32 bro look at number 6
First hit is illegal
8:10 dirty
Wonder what the players that got hit hard in this video gonna see themselves and say🤔😂?
Best punts of 2021 season?
ou is my favoorite team
K.O!
The first clip shoulda been a flag
its annoying to watch these hits be called for penalties for real
