Pre Nerf Vex was great and I was one of the lucky ones to have it but I don't think it falls into the category because it wasn't broken that long and a lot of people didn't have it because they could not complete the raid
@@__The_Real_V__ The Vex was a primary weapon with 50 shots in the mag meaning you didn't need special ammo to use it that alone makes it 10 times more deadly than the Pocket Infinity. On top of that, it had no charge time. You pit a pocket Infinity user against a Vex user, I promise you, the guy with the Vex is coming out on top every time. I've owned and been on the receiving end of both guns and the Vex was way worse to go up against.

Forgot to mention also that Pocket Infinity occasionally broke the fire button and made you unable to shoot until you died or switched weapons. It was my first exotic ever and I miss it's crazyness, although I'd be ok with a Merciless Ornament and buff since it can't really come back.

I honestly believed pocket infinity breaking was intentional via lore. Since it only had issues (after it was out for a while mind you) in Vault of Glass. Usually and specificly when the waves were spawning for the Vex. To me it was implying that the Vex were interfering with the weapon since it was using Vex tech portals to fire. Honestly loved it all the more.

I didn't recognize the weapon on the thumbnail, and guessed it was Telesto. When you said Pocket Infinity I literally said "oooh shit..". Those words uttered sent me spiraling down a rabbit hole of utter Crucible PTSD for about 3 minutes. I flashed back to literally every moment in which I ran into someone using it and said those same words, when I heard it being used, and when I had a teammate with it. So much anguish and so very little joy over one name/gun and a few words uttered when it was in the same room as me. I literally never got that gun and it fucked me in Crucible. Sure, I and many found ways around it when it was at it's peak, but still...fuuuuuck. That gun bent me over and called me Sally for a while
Man I hope Telesto stays relevant in the franchise. It's such a cool and unique weapon. It's easily one of my favorite Exotic Special weapons. I still remember getting it for the first time in The Taken King.
Another part of the gun being broken: It just simply didn't work. I remember it sometimes taking even longer to charge than usual, having a longer delay between shots and dealing basically no damage too. Riveting.

There was never anything more broken than Vex Mythoclast. I know Prometheus Lens got it's own emblem, but them Mythoclast had people leaving lobbies at the very first Transformer sound effect. The crucible was a terror.
If there was a mashup of icebreaker's no backpack regening ammo and the Mulligan fusion rifle of pocket infinity mixed together would be fun to play with but hellish for anyone else
I miss Pocket Infinity. I hope it can come back someday once they figure out how to make it not crash the game - it would have fit perfectly with the Ikelos weapons from Warmind.
Pocket infinity was what i ran in iron banner when enhanced battery was still on it. I out dammaged vex mytholoclass and suros regime with it, i have never felt so powerful since then :(
Back in the beginning it had a mag size of 8 and didn't have damage fall off like it does now. It was absolutely disgusting fun and it made being under leveled in VOG, dealing with the tanky pratorians, cake. God I miss the Pocket Infinity.
I miss how chaotic year 1 of D1 was. I wish I could go back and play with the knowledge we have of playing this franchise for almost 10 years. The grind was confusing for me as a kid back then I would love to be able to replay those first few weeks of the game.
I never ran into players wrecking with Pocket, but I do remember the horrible year 1 moments of Suros, Thorn and Vex. I can still hear the high squeals of the Vex flying past my head and melting my friends.
When I think about "Broken", the first thing that comes in my mind is the activation sound of a Sunbreaker Titan. Dear God they were a nightmare in the firsts months of The Taken King
I love this gun. I only got to use it in year 2-3 because I never got the exotic engram in year 1. I kept buying legacy exotic engrams from Xur until I got it. It was still very good in year 2 to even now. My baby. Warmind weapons are my favorite.
