11:34 surprised you forgot to mention that window of time when you could have unlimited tethers by pausing, fire 2 shots and pause again to refill your super.
Would love to see a follow up to this video on Titans and Warlocks just for an overall comparison. As a Warlock main though i feel as if Hunters certainly have been given the royal treatment from Bungie compared to the other classes
Right I hate em so much and I've been playing as one recently even, I love all three classes but have hate for hunters with nothin but love for the others
God I forgot how terrifying Blade dancers were in the Destiny 1. Nothing gets the blood pumping like rounding the corner and seeing a crackling blue psychopath rapidly flying towards you carried by the momentum of their own sword swings. I feel old now.
What I wouldn't give to be able to go back to the good old days 🤣 Bladedancer quick AF. OP blink and no 3rd or 4th subclass. Armor actually being something special and not just randomly slapping whatever perks on it you want. Heavy ammo synthesis. Self-rez warlocks. Good times.
I think the reason hunters are so hated in general is because of my theory of class-gamemode synergy. It seems that warlocks kits were crafted with pve in mind, hunters with pvp in mind, and titans to bridge the gap. nobody complains of people abusing busted loadouts in pve because it helps them, but when hunters have things catered to crucible, it gets noticed a lot more often, and therefore gets more hate. (when i mean kits, i mean initial abilities, like the auto loading rift and barricades, the old bubble, well of radiance, nova. this doesnt take exotics like oem or ophidian or lorely splendor into thought.)
you are very right though with hunters we have more trouble surviving in end game pve if we don’t use something super cheesy when warlocks have a lot of healing options and with titans again the bridge the gap and they are in a good mid spot
@@Agent_Nick_5000 sounds like a warlock main tho, at least all the complaints I hear about well are from warlocks… most of my friends that play well hate how most raid teams depend on it, they want to play different load outs and subclasses. This was especially apparent after void 3.0.
@@varisrevolver4061 and that is only good in cas most of the time, and rarely comes out on trials unless you are getting destroyed by stasis lock or he has high intellect
That is the upside of hunters. They also are good for crowd control in PvE (titans and warlocks are good for dps [nova bomb and thunder crash] and protection [ward of dawn and well of radiance])
I always find that funny cuz in D1, especially with twilight Garrison, if you mastered the art of Titan skating, you were 100 times faster than any full mobility build hunter
I had a friend that kept complaining about the Hunter hate. He recently switched to Titan and now he hates Hunters with a passion. It's hilarious to watch
That sounds like me. Hunter main since D1 beta. Switched to Titan at Beyond Light and you would not think I started as a Hunter by how much I bash them now lol
I feel like Destiny Players just immediately get triggered when anyone even mentions a class, especially if it's not their own main. There is just something about those classes that really sets off some ancient tribalism part of our brains.
I’ve played every class since d2 year 1 and I can say hunter is the weakest since it’s the most complained about it gets a ton of nerfs people say oh our class got nerfs 2 but hunters exotics or abilities or supers get some sort of nerf, like I went back to try stasis again after a year and silence and squall is hella slow like unless the team actively camps you can maybe get one kill and warlocks or Titans can run and jump and just skate away after being frozen
And also stasis is worthless in pvp, I throw my duskdield and it was a one v one and the warlock I was fighting stood in it the entire fight killed me and stood in it for 11 seconds after before freezing and I’ve dropped glacier nades and it doesn’t even freeze and the enemy clips right out of it
I felt like titans and warlocks were thick as thieves over the years, bound by our mutual hatred of the hunter scum. But then warlocks won guardian games and finally had their WoR nerfed (which needed to happen, but warlocks won't stop complaining about it), and as a titan, I can no longer morally be any warlock's partner in crime. CLASS WARZZZ ALL THE WAY!
In the end it was and still is the pve players that get hurt the most. Sad that abilities and exotics that were fine in pve were nerfed just because bungie doesn’t know or simply don’t want to keep pve and pvp separate. Though it looks like they’re slowly removing their heads from their asses with the next update.
You should do something similar for the other classes, as a titan main i definetly have had some moments where warlocks were the bane of my existance (looking at you D1 Stormcaller), and i know for a fact that people hated me for abusing that OEM
I'm a Warlock main and I never had a issue with Hunters up till Stasis. My skill could compensate for everything prior but Stasis just scuffed all that. No amount of skill was going to save you from the shatter. That was/has been my only complaint. Edit: corrected a typo. Corrected was to from.
Funfact: The hate towards hunters made parts of hunters way weaker than titans and warlocks. Especially the supers. In most supers you get so easily killed by anything else, while, for example with golden gun, you need 2 hits to kill another super. Those supers onehit you or whatever. Sometimes I feel so weak when I play pvp, it's just funny.
@@D4ngrs well that’s not taking in account the range at which you can 2 tap, Titan for example; if I pop fists of havoc and you pop Goldie, if I’m not close to you 9/10 I’m dead
@@BuddahDntStop nah man, if u pop that shit in the air your too fast to really hit more then once and if by chance the hunter is next to a wall or your aiming near the ground to them their done
It's also worth noting that spectral blades with gwisin vest didn't just last for potentially "minutes ", if you got one kill, you could stay in it forever. It wasn't uncommon to see a spectral blade pop two minutes into a match and last until the end of the game.
Except those were just bugs. Don’t you remember when titans could do the same exact thing with roaming slam, or when warlocks had the bug where they could stop their beams mid super and have 75% of it still? Literally all races have experienced many different forms of broken mechanics, abilities and supers. But people only focus on the hunters
@@cookeez7010 wasn't as good as hunter thought... the arc titan did have invisible power and wall hacks.. you needed to find the Enamy and get close without them running.. what hunters with all the extra stuff just make it alot easier and it was way harder to kill the arc titan.
@@cookeez7010 Bottom tree striker would last maybe a minute if done correctly back when people complained it "lasted too long". Gwisen vest literally let you stay in spectral blades FOREVER if you got ONE kill... Theyre not comparable lol
Except the effect was also built into both bottom striker and dawnblade. Y'all can say that unlick spectral these couldn't infinite, but you're just throwing your bias over your memory. And best part is that titan's actually went the longest without getting the hammer out of the three.
Pretty sure the community has never not hated Hunters lol There’s always something for people to get mad about in regards to Hunters. It gets pretty annoying For example Titans blame Hunters for the Twilight Garrison nerf despite shadestep getting the exact same nerf at the exact same time. Warlocks were complaining about both evasion abilities but Hunters end up taking the blame.
@@bwhere45 thats because tranversives dont represent 90% of all warlock exotic usage in crucible, also warlocks jumps are nowhere near as potent as hunters.... Stop trying to make an apples to oranges comparison lmao, warlocks are the worst class movement wise. It's either icarus dash or nothing. No shoulder charge, no titan skating, no hunger stompee spamming on roof tops to get insane speed, no jumping 2 stories in the air in a quarter of a second get the point?
@@Alckee in the interest of fairness, please do not forget about Warlocks being able to go Mach 5 using slopes and burst glide on any class. You can't just mention Hunters smacking their head as a movement tool and yet NOT mention Warlock slope boosting.
Hunter main here. I just want a crucible game mode that shows up once a month. It has everyone with equal stats, no exotics, no class ability, no super and everyone gets the same guns. It will be more fun as it just makes skill the main thing and not having some meta loadout that makes it seem like easy mode.
I've always been a titan main. Since d1 taken king launch. Honestly I wasnt too big into the community to see the hunter hate in d1 but I see it in d2 for sure. But I also hear every class complain about each other. Just seems that hunters get it the worst due to sheer numbers
@@steffon3650 Yea I felt that every class had broken stuff back in D1. I didnt know the hate for hunters until D2 cuz tbh, I dont think there even was that much hate for hunters back in the day
then u dont remember how op blast radius 1 shot trip mine grenade was in d1 where u could get killed because your dumbass teamate trigger it and got you killed but it got nerfed etc
I remember I wanted to be Hunter at first but my friends already chose a hunter and a Titan so they forced me to be a warlock and I gotta say, I’m glad it turned out this way
@@jackhunter9800 gonna try and tell me bungie doesn’t love warlocks most lmao. They get the best exotics, the best exotic ornaments, the most intricate armor designs. They get creative new abilities, they are now the fastest class in the game with insane movement. They have the best supers for both PvP and PvE. Like bruh wym
@@cookeez7010 while I do have to agree that warlocks have the most unique abilities. You can’t say that warlocks are bugies favorite class since most of our abilities got stolen!
Hunters when their baseline kit means nobody can see them or fight back in any way "Its totally balanced... gitgud" Hunters when another class, through serious buildcrafting, godrolled gear, top tier exotic combos, skill, and dedication manage to eek out a 50% win rate "Warlock and titan hella op plz nerf"
the melee having funky hit registration was actually due to it proc'ing when it came into connection with players heads. I loved it due to the fact that it was the perfect counter to blade dancer when timed perfectly. All u had to do was aim up and shotgunning and u were almost guaranteed to kill em
It reminds me of the time Jett's (from Valorant) ult refreshes everytime she gets a kill. People were abusing the alt fire where you launch all five knives at someone and you can do it until all of the enemy was dead. Though that was removed, but only for the alt fire. The normal one, where you shoot one knife at a time is still there and is a lot less broken and harder to do
Tbh warlock balancing has been terrible in pvp, titan being vice versa the same thing in pve. Warlock mains are tired of being shit on in pvp due to lack of ability spam, titans want more shit in pve. Them whining about pvp/pve is totally justified.
Titans: Absolutely bitchmade crayon eaters crammed to the brim with one shot kills and resilience - everyone hates titans Hunters: Dodges, extra empowered melees, instant reloads, amazing and diverse exotics that fundamentally change the way you play the class, fairly loaded in general - most people have something they hate about hunters Warlocks: annoying healing, i guess? - warlocks are chill dudes
Hunters have the advantage in PvP. v Rapid vertical movement on console is very hard to track and manage. And majority of hunters ive come across have edgy names and are usually rude.
I was originally a Hunter main in D1 then I moved to Titans when D2’s curse of Osiris was out. I was a fan when I used Bladedancer & Gunslinger (especially bladedancer with Last word because last word was my first ever exotic I owned when I did Prison of Elders for the first time and a god Roll Her Benevolence with hidden hand and snapshot) I had so much fun I still remember when snapshot was a substitute perk with 2 other choices unlike D2’s version which uses snapshot as a main perk
I don’t like hunters because most of the hunters I come by are the meta running shitlords. I find these roller-coaster spine goofies a lot more often than titan and warlocks. Any class can by powerful if using the right stuff. I really enjoy using off meta stuff and it’s been my goal to get someone to t-bag me when I use izanagi and the brass attacks sidearm
The problem with your arguement is that you don't see the bigger picture. Reason why most are meta running shitlords is because majority of the players are hunters. If it were warlocks or titans that were dominant, same thing would happen
As a Hunter who almost never plays super on meta unless it's Trials, it's because you probably just don't remember it. The shitty toxic meta runners are what you remember cause they annoyed you, you don't remember anyone else cause they just acted like a normal human being lol
I play all 3 classes. Hunters are now a viable option in PvE GMs. That's a great thing. Sad they nerfed Titand to the ground in PvP though. Loved my Behemoth!
Well, you can still use Ward of Dawn to troll people in Trials of Osiris, and you still have nifty abilities, so it's not like you should lose some sleep over it. And of course, incoming Solar 3.0!
The vast majority of all hunter hatred stems from crucible. Their abilities tend to get over tuned so frequently, and stay broken for so long, allowing for salt levels to increase to dramatic levels. It also doesn't help that they're the most played character in D2, leading to the spam of said abilities being even more prominent. They're also the most vocal members of the community, which means they tend to get other broken abilities nerfed quicker since they have the numbers to do so. The hypocritical idea that every other strong ability needs to be nerfed, while their strong abilities needs to stay is outrageously annoying. You want an example? Nova Warp, Shadebinder, and Stormtrance all had very small windows of peak broken nature. They were nerfed so hard that literally nobody used them anymore, forcing people in to Chaos Reach with Geomags to be competitive. While that had a decent shelf life, the neutral game was trash so it wasn't overly abused. Nova warp was nerfed so bad that it became a terrible super and the only reason anyone used that subclass was for the only OHK ability Warlocks had. That was nerfed into oblivion as well, and eventually made the entire subclass worthless. The funny thing is, Warlocks still lack a single OHK ability in crucible, and Hunters were complaining that shatterdive kept getting nerfed. We are talking about an ability that was literally as oppressive as tether, with the kill capabilities of a titan slam... on a 20 second cool down. The saddest part? Many of them have somehow convinced themselves that Hunters have the most difficult class to main, with very few abilities or worthy exotics.
Bruh whats oem, top tree dawn, bottom tree fists, rain of fire, stag, tranversives, or lorelie lmao Also yk, maybe bungie has been removing ohks from the game since... oh idk... its not really a fun or interesting way to have your game work?
I think stasis warlock is still kinda busted. The ability to insta freeze with melee is pretty much OHK. Stasis warlock i still probably one of the more "competitive" classes if played right.
As someone who has played both Warlock and Hunter, primarily warlock, since D1 I can say that from my experience, Hunters have an EXTREMELY easier experience in PvP than other classes. Back when Forsaken released, I wanted to have the achievement of saying I earned Luna’s Howl. I decided to use my Hunter for it because I KNEW hunters were busted in PvP. I was able to complete the entire quest and got my reward in a matter of 3 (maybe less can’t remember) days. And that was during my casual hours as a solo. So personally, I believe that the complaints hunters get in PvP are completely warranted. Not saying they’re right, but they are justified.
Honestly it’s just the nature of their movement and class ability that make them better suited for pvp. They have quicker vertical mobility. Plus a dodge that breaks aim assist, makes for easy repositioning, and gives them a 3rd person camera. So fighting against a hunter in the crucible as a titan or warlock feels a little annoying since the other classes can’t do any of those things to the same degree
I agree with you, but both of the other class can also go into 3rd person with their class abilities. Obviously the hunter's is better because it has a shorter cooldown and better utility, but just wanted to point that out.
@@TheFirstDisciple001 ofc but both of those class abilities are stationary. Plus if you’re a warlock your head hit box doesn’t move so popping it can make you an easy target. I think that’s the biggest difference
@@bwhere45 comparing stompee5 and transversive steps is a bad comparison. TS only buffs sprint/slide, while stompee5 is built around improving all movement options for hunters. A better comparison would've been astrocyte verse, since it also buffs a jump ability
@@bwhere45 oh boy, an increase in sprint speed. That's not what made stompee5 so good. It was the benefit it provided to your jump, allowing hunters to maintain a large amount of momentum by slamming their head into the ceiling, building up speed real fast. Transversive Steps main aspect was reloading weapons while sprinting. If it instead buffed icarus dash or burst glide, it would be more comparable
Was a warlock on the beta of D1, when the release came, became a crayon eater forever. Then Forsaken. Still ate crayons, then discovered steak, started experimenting as warlock. Became a warlock main, but never forgetting my roots.
Ngl I'm really glad this video was made. At first I was like "eh, every class has a tendency to hate the other classes, what's new :I" Then I was like "Wait a minute. There was so much busted stuff in d1. We all love d1 and a lot of us hate on d2 for not being d1, but if we had d1 right now instead of d2 it's ACTUALLY suck. HARD. I didn't realize it but we've kinda gotten really spoiled with destiny. It didn't occur to me how amazing this game really is. Thinking about it now, honestly, (specifically b/c of all the new stuff they're adding with subclass 3.0 and the story and such), in maybe a decade we'll be looking back at d2 and being like "damn that game was nice". Destiny 2 definitely hasn't been 100% a substitute and heir to the halo series, but it's definitely made a big lane for itself in a similar way. I really hope they add something into d2 like the prison of elders, or some other kind of horde mode thing. It seems like compared to d1 there's been what feels like a drop in lethality. It'd be nice if we had some type of pve thing where we can REALLY test the limits of these builds we're about to be able to start making, some place where we can be as busted as we want.
As someone who only plays Destiny on and offand is therefore "stuck" with one class - which just happens to be Hunter - I can say that the throwing knives are honestly the major reason I'm not a Warlock main, whose class identity I can connect with a lot more
I thought we always hated Hunters for being the class with the best PvP tools and exotic? I wish my Sentinel Shield had the tracking of their throwing knives though. I've literally watched it curved AWAY from opponents it should have hit.
Exotics???? Hunter's have like two exotics that are actually good and not complete meme territory, omnioculus and the infamous "stompee's" And stompee's are getting a nerf so hard that it'll make the infamous jump 200 feet into the air at mach 10 hunters literally impossible to work, unless they have pin point precision... Now as for their kit, yeah they're pretty dumb on pvp.
@@iansantiago6526 I said "exotic." Yes, it's only one, but it's probably the best PvP exotic in a game where movement is king. Obviously, it's getting nerfed next season, but really good players probably won't be affected too badly by the aerial nerf. It mostly going to be the average Joe's who actually miss shots who suffer.
@@KLGChaos I mean, warlocks have an exotic that is basically two gun perks applied to any weapon in the game(Quickdraw reload masterwork and quick scope) and titans arguably have the most game changing exotic in the game with loreley splendor, which is absolutely retarded. Stompee's are good, but I think there are better options in other classes...
@@KLGChaos no players who are good are going to be the ones most effected by it because of how they were able to take in air gun fights more often than the regular player. Still ducking stupid how they’re going to nerf it due to the data saying they’re the most used exotics for hunters and they’re buffing ophidians which had the same % of usage
When I was a kid still in elementary my older brother introduced me to this game, and when I watch him play and saw him play titan I thought throwing hammers were sick, so I made a titan and was about to play, but then he deleted my titan and told me to play hunter, and here I am today, I couldn't play any other class for years when I got to destiny 2
I have been a hunter main since D1 on day 1, and I have always loved the class. However, I play all 3 classes and there are things I love about all of them. There have been some REALLY broken builds for all 3 classes. The hate needs to die lol. My buddy is a warlock main and always complains about the other two and so I’m and so on. @@vitulixodokrl 😂😂😂 literally every game I go into there's either a top tree dawn or shadebinder warlock floating off the edge of the map then flinching me to death with dmt or some other bullshit, or how about their fucking buddies which either weaken or rapid fire come out of nowhere and how they camp in their Wells with scouts and the stag helmet. Then they beg for dodge nerfs or movement nerfs for hunters. Dodge doesn't even dodge anymore, or at least I always get sniped mid dodge. Dodge has just become a way to switch direction but both warlocks and titans have ways to dodge mid air (icarus or shoulder bash)
@@lopsplays9535 every game I go in is all hunters crutching invis w fusions n stompies. literally all it takes. I RARELY ever see any dawn or stasis warlocks n even then its better facing them then hunters who go invis to get a fusion kill n invis again the whole game
I feel like what people miss in this discussion is that movement is a huge part of the meta in D2 PvP. Hunters, even without any exotics have the best movement abilities in the game. Jump is faster, dodge is crazy powerful, and there are very few warlock and titan builds that can come close. I play all 3 classes but I have to play long range on warlock and titan because most hunters can straight up outplay me in CQC. Hunter play style feels faster which makes them more challenging opponents in crucible
Hunters have good agility, but titans and warlocks are faster than hunters in a dead sprint. Unless the hunter is using stompees or bottom tree arc with strafe jump, which still doesn't compare to warlock or titan with their respective movement exotics.
I'm a hunter main for life. I'll proudly strafe in front of you during DPS phase and not learn my lesson. I'll dodge out of your bullets in pvp, I'll rush through a strike 3x faster leaving no enemies left for you, people already dislike me so there's nothing left but to embrace it.
@@veralium warlocks were hated for melee range, The Ram helmet, self res, infinite nova bomb glitch, how long stormtrance lasted at TTK launch, top tree dawn, rain of fire boots, well replacing bubble, blink, and launch stasis. That's all I can remember rn
as a hunter whos never abused any cheese other than crota, not even stasis, i’ve always thought that warlocks were bungies golden boy. i’ve always been gunned down in my supers and instantly murderized by a warlock melee
My fireteam has an awesome feeling to it: I, the Hunter, have a freelance merc feel to my style, acting as a front line fighter; the Titan is stoic and rather steadfast in battle; and the Warlock acts as medic, reviving and placing a healing pool. Together, we can hold a chokepoint for eons
You mean hunters getting kicked in the balls??? You are a funny funny person... the only people kicking hunters in the balls was other hunters because the other 2 classes couldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as a shitterdive hunter... but a funny thought though
Honestly the only thing that consistently annoys me is “Dodge” to me it just seems so far and above any other class ability(pvp)….AND STILL NO TWILIGHT GARRISON FOR MY TITAN
Problem is it’s only so strong that way on console, so for the 1/3 of the game that’s on PC the class abilities are a lot more close in strength and what they offer, dodge is still good there but so are the other two Makes it hard for Bungie to alleviate your all’s issues with it on console without breaking the delicate, pretty good balance of the three on PC On PC the strongest class ability isn’t even one, it’s even more frequently off-cooldown than class abilities are: it’s Icarus Dash, which seemingly isn’t a problem on console
@@Freezaboi yeah outside of Bakris/Gemini/Bombardiers (but no one runs those) it has almost zero offensive or juke utility It’s a disengage tool mostly, faster to dodge back into cover after peeking (gambler’s dodge that is, for the sudden change in your hitbox) than if you walked, slid, or jumped back in The only way you can take a gamble on a juke closer than disengaging a losing primary fight from a distance, is if you rapidly draw shapes with or jiggle your mouse to kinda fall over yourself in place and make them miss a shot or a few, but this is generally a last ditch effort that doesn’t always work
I think titan should get some sort of functionality with an air move because both other classes have at least one each (not meaning melee, I mean as utility or movement). Hunter has shatterdive and purple shatterdive (no clue what it’s called, quit playing hunter outside of raids since I switched to titan in black armory, might retry because elden ring taught me how to dodge) and warlock has Icarus dash and the ground falling thing, but titan has nothing.
I remember one time when doing Crotas End, the group I was in was all arguing about who was going to run the sword. This happened for a good couple minutes until I got everyone to shut up by saying I was running it. We beat the boss in one run. I also remember doing hard mode and having to count my sword slams to keep Crota from enraging before we could kill him. I think it was 19 slams. After that, I wouldn't touch him again until I got a fresh sword. Ah the memories.
I still don't see how stoopes were a problem, is not like hunters had any other good neutral exotics. I do also want to say let's have a full year where hand cannons are not meta
What I really hated about the forsaken era blade barrage was the insane amount of damage reduction while casting the super. You was able to survive anything. So it was basacally a panic get out of jail card.
Would like to note something positive as well - as these eras went on, the changes came a lot quicker. From bladedancer not really being touched to invis changes a month after the expansion launched, I could literally see Bungie’s balancing team get more responsive over the video time!
Dont forget that there was a LONG point where if you simply opened your menu while usuing the nightstalker bow shot, it would reset the super and allow you to pretty much infinitely shoot around the map. Warlocks had this too with Nova bomb but i recall a loud portion of the warlock player base pleading with people to not stoop to that level AND it was patched out within the week.
This is wildly biased but I loved the trip down memory lane. You should have mentioned how ridiculous the super and melee for stasis Hunters were too pre-nerf. Do this for Warlocks (revive, melee hits giving full shield, handheld supernova!, chaos reach, etc) and Titans (literally everything) please!
Bro, you really gonna say it's wildly biased, when it's nothing but facts about the history of hunters, and then proceed to say everything about titans is op? My guy, both warlock and titan have nothing on hunter over the years
As a hunter main, my one gripe is the complaint that every hunter wanted to abuse invis spam when void 3.0 launched. Hunters, titans and warlocks all wanted to use the new purple toys which had 3 unique aspects per class. Hunters got one that made you invisible, one that made you not visible and the last one gave you the void invisibility buff... In case you missed it, all 3 hunter aspects were designed to proc invisibility. It is virtually impossible to use void 3.0 and not go invisible with every action. So in our defense, this era of hunter hate was on bungie for the aspect designs, not the hunters.
I spent most of my destiny life as a warlock from d1 on and last year…seeing the hunters winning in guardian games I started playing my hunter for the 1st time and well I’m a hunter main now! Bring the hate I understand why folks played them the hunter is where I found the most fun playing destiny And I’m not even taking about pvp I don’t hardly ever play pvp
@SomeGuy I’m not into being op but being the res guy the medic and basically saving a NF cause I can go invis Being the medic is fun Not pvp OP again I don’t hardly ever play pvp
Bruh warlocks and titans have the most broken shit ever 1 hit body shots with loraleas 1 way fire with the barricade not to mention titans and warlocks are faster than hunters. Complaining about hunters without addressing how broken titans/warlocks are is just stupid
Honorable mention to prior to early last year when Hunters could dodge to negate all tracking from rockets and grenades while also getting any perk that could be applied by dodging...every 10 seconds. Was so glad to see that go.
Hunters represent the worst the community has to offer. They are the majority so they get catered to the most, despite that they always cry and act like they are the weakest class. They act like they have no exotics when they do, they just don't wanna take off their stompes and put on celestial or Orpheus rigs. When ever there is something they can't just run away from they cry for a nerf. They FOR SOME REASON have 3 one hit kill abilities while titan has 1 IF you use some ugly ass pants.
Hmm I wonder who complained and asked to nerf basically 80% of the pvp exotics hunters have 🥱 if u hate hunter so much why not just play the damn class then
I don't know why but I seem to just be replying to you a lot lol but which hunter abilities can achieve one shot I only know of the two which is throwing knife which requires aiming, and combination blow/deadly reach but you have to build and be heavily proactive with it (can possibly throw in liar's handshake), what's the third?
As a warlock main i just wanna say my salt comes from the fact warlocks got their only one shot ability removed from the game in d2 while they still kept shouldercharge and throwing knifes as a one shot ability. Meanwhile we had to spend our granade in order to use our handheld super nova.
Wait, when did we stop hating hunters? Every 12 seconds when they dodge away from death to cover in PvP I am reminded why I hate them with such a fiery passion
@@bigguy9101 If you had finished school you might have learned that it is "you're probably just bad" short for "you are". Your means it belongs to someone
People be like "warlocks never get touched" "warlocks got the most op stuff" "hunters suck and we always get nerfed" I'd say warlocks especially hate every other class but hunters the most since people call for anything warlock to be nerfed the moment it's too strong but then leave other classes have broken abilities, exotics, subclass etc., for months on end unchanged and hunters have had some of the longest streaks of strong shit breaking pvp. It got to the point where certain seasons I just stopped playing warlocks for pvp so I can compete better against broken shit the other classes had since the other 2 also have better class abilities to combat certain strong playstyles without being exposed.
When I started playing Destiny 2 i was a Warlock because sword, but when i tried the hunter jump it was so much more intuitive for me that i remain a Hunter until today. I've since mastered the warlock jump as well, but Hunter just fits my personality more. Also, none of my friends play Hunter (until Dawnblade got "nerfed"/changed with Solar 3.0 that is XD), so at this point i play Hunter also because somebody has to represent!
I feel like mans really undersold Black Hammer. Black Hammer was so good it became an exotic and then a heavy weapon AND has been nerfed into the ground and it’s STILL one of the best DPS option today
An odd trend I noticed about the toxicity of each type of class's player is the type of toxicity. Hunters, while there were a lot, were more silent with BM and occasionally would be aholes with a quick message but that was it. Titans actually wouldn't be toxic all too much aside from certain loadouts and abusing things like stasis, one eyed mask, etc. If they were ever toxic message wise, they were like, dumb toxic, if that makes any sense. No logical reasoning in their BM and mostly troll. Warlocks (ironically my main) while I didn't run into a lot, were maybe some of the worst. With high egos, over the top knowledge on the meta (pvp OR pve. Yes seriously) and would go out of their way to be scum but then act like they did nothing wrong. Like I said, very rarely do I run across a toxic warlock. Usually, they are just good at the game which can spark some hate or can be kind of bossy in raids depending on the type of player they are. Does this apply to everyone of those subclasses? Of course not. This isnt to stereotype or hate any class. Just trends of what I noticed throughout like 3K hours of playtime.
Brilliant breakdown of why Hunters have been hated for 8 years. And , although I play each character, I will hate them until ALL classes are balanced 👍
I hate all but hunters because hunters are not that good pve unless I use stasis or void the rest is pvp exclusive where as warlocks and titans are God's at pve and good at pvp. Warlocks are what ever but titans piss me off with their abilities
I could never be a Titan or Warlock main but I love my Titan and Warlock team mates. The amount of people that can't pronounce recluse correctly is mind blowing.
I'm a hunter main, and I try to avoid using my super often as it can deal massive combo damage when arc titans throw down their supers at the the same time. I use Nightstalker and honestly I have had times where a titan and warlock would join me just to show up the newer lights who didn't understand teamwork and tried to use their hunter classes to just steal kills lol, it still happens to me in D2 on certain occasions
As a Hunter, I have definitely ran into multiple toxic ego-fueled fellow hunter mains, and they're seriously disgusting. Now all of us are like that, but it's astonishing how many of us are
People just can't look up at an airborne hunter and shoot or they cry like a baby when a hunter outruns them. My guy, you're a 200 pound titan, do you really expect to outrun a hunter which is dominant in mobility?
I've been a Warlock main since I first started Destiny 1. I tried making a Hunter and Titan in D2. I was a horrible Titan. I found another reason to hate Hunter when I tried it, and that was the fact it was so much easier to play as a Hunter than the other two.

@@niri2506you’re on your own with that one. I definitely loved the subclasses

As a hunter main, I absolutely hated all of the hunter metas from beyond light onwards. So annoying to play against.

@@vitulixodokrl haha spamming invis behind the whole game to pop out w a fusion jus to go invis again
@@LivingTheorem I don't think warlocks and titans have faster base run speed than hunters.
Can’t remember what year or season but skip grenades was a thing for ages in Trials 😂
I’m a Hunter main and I try to not be toxic but get shamed anytime I use anything in pvp 😔
Welcome to the club brother. We’re literally always hated lol
Title misleading. There was only ever one time we hated hunters:
Always.
💯
Better class what can i say 🤷🏾♂️
Great video. We need one for warlocks and Titans next.
we love warloc and titans but hate hunters
the one time the destiny community hated warlocks: stag rifts
(I hate fighting stag rifts even as a warlock main)
17 times, nah beyond light was when everyone started kicking us in the balls
Nope I hated hunters bad in d1 it’s been a long time until I finally came over to the dark side
Before my hunter hate was real
You mean hunters getting kicked in the balls??? You are a funny funny person... the only people kicking hunters in the balls was other hunters because the other 2 classes couldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as a shitterdive hunter... but a funny thought though
Honestly the only thing that consistently annoys me is “Dodge” to me it just seems so far and above any other class ability(pvp)….AND STILL NO TWILIGHT GARRISON FOR MY TITAN
Problem is it’s only so strong that way on console, so for the 1/3 of the game that’s on PC the class abilities are a lot more close in strength and what they offer, dodge is still good there but so are the other two
Makes it hard for Bungie to alleviate your all’s issues with it on console without breaking the delicate, pretty good balance of the three on PC
On PC the strongest class ability isn’t even one, it’s even more frequently off-cooldown than class abilities are: it’s Icarus Dash, which seemingly isn’t a problem on console
@@zeromythosver. That makes sense, I imagine on MnK you could acquire your target faster after an enemy dodge then you could on controller/console.
@@Freezaboi yeah outside of Bakris/Gemini/Bombardiers (but no one runs those) it has almost zero offensive or juke utility
It’s a disengage tool mostly, faster to dodge back into cover after peeking (gambler’s dodge that is, for the sudden change in your hitbox) than if you walked, slid, or jumped back in
The only way you can take a gamble on a juke closer than disengaging a losing primary fight from a distance, is if you rapidly draw shapes with or jiggle your mouse to kinda fall over yourself in place and make them miss a shot or a few, but this is generally a last ditch effort that doesn’t always work
I think titan should get some sort of functionality with an air move because both other classes have at least one each (not meaning melee, I mean as utility or movement). Hunter has shatterdive and purple shatterdive (no clue what it’s called, quit playing hunter outside of raids since I switched to titan in black armory, might retry because elden ring taught me how to dodge) and warlock has Icarus dash and the ground falling thing, but titan has nothing.
@@burna.k.a.turtleonalog4327 exactly, you can do “things” like shoulder charge but that also requires build up and not really a dedicated “move”

And I hated that Meta too
Im not saying that its the same thing with NB now.... but it is.
You didn't have damage reduction.
You had damage NULLIFICATION from the invincibility frames.
So much Nostalgia in this Video, I love it! Hunters will always be my main... As a Hunter main I salute, love this video
Would like to note something positive as well - as these eras went on, the changes came a lot quicker. From bladedancer not really being touched to invis changes a month after the expansion launched, I could literally see Bungie’s balancing team get more responsive over the video time!
So could we get a tips like aztecross gives for titans.
As a clean titan main, for what I've seen, the majority of hunters are marvelous people with you, but a strong minority is toxic and punchable af...
its funny, in my experience, i find warlocks to be the most hated. especially after void 3.0

I've been a hunter main since destiny 1 i love the class and i will always stick with it no matter the amount of hate i get.
I spent most of my destiny life as a warlock from d1 on and last year…seeing the hunters winning in guardian games I started playing my hunter for the 1st time and well I’m a hunter main now!
Bring the hate I understand why folks played them the hunter is where I found the most fun playing destiny
And I’m not even taking about pvp I don’t hardly ever play pvp
@SomeGuy I’m not into being op but being the res guy the medic and basically saving a NF cause I can go invis
Being the medic is fun
Not pvp OP
again I don’t hardly ever play pvp
Bruh warlocks and titans have the most broken shit ever 1 hit body shots with loraleas 1 way fire with the barricade not to mention titans and warlocks are faster than hunters. Complaining about hunters without addressing how broken titans/warlocks are is just stupid
@@tyjoone4566 interesting…I don’t see anything in my post about complaining

As a hunter main, this was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Thanks patty!
Honorable mention to prior to early last year when Hunters could dodge to negate all tracking from rockets and grenades while also getting any perk that could be applied by dodging...every 10 seconds. Was so glad to see that go.
I’m a sweaty hunter and I promise shatter dive was by far the most broken era of all time
Everybody hates every class and thinks Bungie is out to get them. Genuinely one of the worst communities out there.
As a salty hunter, I can confirm this is a sound fact

Now thinking about the fact Warlocks have a Hunter and Titan ability from D1 in D2
Now begins a new era of hunters hate: Omni + Lord of wolves

People be like "warlocks never get touched" "warlocks got the most op stuff" "hunters suck and we always get nerfed"
I'd say warlocks especially hate every other class but hunters the most since people call for anything warlock to be nerfed the moment it's too strong but then leave other classes have broken abilities, exotics, subclass etc., for months on end unchanged and hunters have had some of the longest streaks of strong shit breaking pvp.
Black Hammer was so good it became an exotic and then a heavy weapon AND has been nerfed into the ground and it’s STILL one of the best DPS option today
would be nice if titans and warlocks got some nice looking armour for a change
True
Now all of us are like that, but it's astonishing how many of us are
I'm ashamed of my fellow hunters.
People just can't look up at an airborne hunter and shoot or they cry like a baby when a hunter outruns them. My guy, you're a 200 pound titan, do you really expect to outrun a hunter which is dominant in mobility?
I use to be a titan main, but now I’m a hunter main.. and I think that this could be said about any of the classes, each class has their haters
I've been a Warlock main since I first started Destiny 1. I tried making a Hunter and Titan in D2. I was a horrible Titan. I found another reason to hate Hunter when I tried it, and that was the fact it was so much easier to play as a Hunter than the other two.
Been a hunter since d1 beta and I’ll never build another class 🤙
