    Hey Mark.
    I know you can’t predict the future, but since you’re so tuned into Toyota Tundra trends I’ll ask. Based on previous years around summer -
    When current incentives lapse, what is Toyota likely to offer on Tundras? Are they like to offer more than 1500.00 consumer cash or better financing rates than what is currently offered?

    Amazing find Mr. Mark. My kids and I own a 2016 pro in quicksand. I can say it’s my dream truck and we were able to purchase it in 2020 before truck prices got ridiculous. My kids and I absolutely love this truck. People ask me “is that a 2021?” And I’m like naw 2016, they age so well. We’ve never had any issues with our 5.7. I plan on passing it down to my son in 10 years when he starts to drive. I had no idea the Canadian version was different from the US. What a beautiful truck, that will make someone really happy. It’s good to know that our truck has only increased in price after we’ve put 80k miles on it in 4 years of ownership. Thanks for sharing Mr. Mark

    Very cool truck. I tried to purchase a brand new Canadian Tacoma double cab 5 speed manual transmission two years ago. You couldn’t get the double cab with a stick in the U.S. I picked one out but there is a 12% tax separate from the sales tax so I was looking at 18.5% tax plus shipping. Needless to say I didn’t buy it.

    Do/does a Camadian truck "pass" EMISSIONS specs?
    In my county, in TX, EVERY Truck/Car from 1996 & on has to pass an emissions test in order to buy a license sticker/plate.

    • @TundraDude34
      @TundraDude34  3 месяца назад

      I just found this online to shed some light on that subject:
      Canadian and U.S. auto standards are similar but not identical. While this means that many vehicles will be considered compliant with both sets of laws, some Canadian cars may require adjustments to meet U.S. regulations. If you want to import a car into the United States from Canada, you need to ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations before making the trip southward.
      According to the EPA, a Canadian vehicle is identical to a United States-certified version if one of the following is true:
      An emission label is affixed to the Canadian vehicle stating that it is certified to United States EPA federal emission standards; or
      The vehicle manufacturer’s U.S. representative has provided a letter of compliance that states the vehicle complies with all United States EPA regulations. EPA usually only accepts compliance letters from a manufacturer’s U.S. or Canadian representative.

      @@TundraDude34 Yes, in my 30yrs. as a tech, I know of California, Federal & way back then a High Altitude sets of Emissions Specs.
      I recall so-called Gray Market individually imported cars that required the installation of Emission Control Sys.
      CATS, SMOG PUMPS, CHARCOAL CANNISTERS, etc.
      Some cars needed reinforcements installed inside the doors to prevent accidental intrusion.
      Then, of course, the 5mph bumpers & the USA lighting.
      Oh, do not forget seat belts...& AIRBAGS.
