Congrats on your epic achievement. Very well documented. I'm planning on running rim to rim this late September or early October. The R3 was on my bucket list in 2020 but because of Covid that didn't happen. At 72, I just don't think I have the round trip in me anymore. I'm not a night runner. Again, great job!
Thank you so much for watching. I heard that doing the R3 in two days (with a night at the hotel half way) is a pretty great experience too. It would allow you to see the night sections in daylight, which is definitely bonus. I'm excited for you. You are gonna love it!
Excellent video! Great captures of sunrise and the trail itself! I feel like I’m there because you smartly allowed the sound of their footsteps on the gravelly trail. Other videos people make are drowning in background music. I hope you’ll always record the sound of the footfalls.
This is a great video. I’m doing this April 7th Bright Angel to Bright Angel. I’ve never done a 50miler especially with this much vert. How did you know you were ready to tackle this?
Thank you Trevor. The 4 of us had raced ultra distances before so we were all confident we could cover the first 50Km without issues. And we all trained quite a lot during the summer as well, with back to back long days on weekends (45Km/25Km), and daily workout routines with strength training. We were ready. :)
Great video and congratulations... logistics question. At the top of NK when the water was shut off, why did you choose to hike to the office instead of back down to Supai Tunnel, or was the water off there also? (this being the internet... asking honestly as adding distance is always challenging)
Hi! that's a good question, i think we thought the office was the closest source (although return trip was probably close to same distance than supai tunnel) and we just wanted to have a break at the top, but needed water? HOnestly we didn't even think about it. I think we had our mind set on getting water at the top, so we did 😬
@@briceferrestudio Thanks for your reply. I totally understand that, at that moment, getting water was your primary objective. Evaluating options with "trail brain" and limited sleep is challenging too - having been in that mind-state a few times myself. Did R3R a few weeks back and only stayed at North Rim long enough to take a picture. It was cold and windy and I wanted to get back into the protection and warmth of the canyon as soon as I could.
Couldn’t figure out what was missing , then it dawned on me on me ; testosterone! As a guy ; ya’ll are way more relaxed and friendly. Excellent effort and congratulations to all !! Thanks
@@briceferrestudio I was just going to give you a hard time on using metric, but yes, that thing is pretty damn cool but I’m gonna need mine set to imperial measurements 🙃
@@thedeafcattledog8608 Haha, wow. Sorry, this one got way over my head! 😂 Yeah, you're talking to a Canadian who grew up in Europe. Pretty attached to my metric system. Although I do love a good 50 miler. 😊
This place really gets into your heart. That was so fun to watch. Great job
Thank you so much Jeff!
You ladies are inspiring not to mention amazing!!! Love and Light ❤
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for the very kind feedback! Yes, I agree, the sounds of footsteps is important and should never be overpowered by music.
My dream to go there one day, it is so beautiful. A stoning video as usal
Thank you so much!

Yes we are all pretty close friends. And we are always pretty chill on our adventures. Thank you for watching!
What month was this? Looks like a fantastic day. Also, what camera did you use?
This was shot on October 23rd 2023. And recorded on the Gopro 11. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful! But what is this metric thing you keep using? 😅
Thank you! By metric thing, do you mean the Coros GPS Watch?
