    Chat GPT said this mite be BS 🙊took some coaxing
    "So, while the input current (line current) might be limited by the power source, the controller can still increase the voltage to provide the motor with the necessary power for its operation. This is why you might see a situation where the phase current rating (which is related to the motor performance) is higher than the line current rating (which is related to the overall power input)"

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah thats how it was explained to me aswell, the controller will convert the voltage from the battery to get the phase amps it needs depending on the load.

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  7 месяцев назад +1

      No worries on the comments. But yeah the main number you wanna focus on is line amps. Make sure you have a battery capable of continuous amps that match the controller with some over head if fitment allows. Depending on the motor your using you may not be able to run the full phase amps of the controller anyways. For instance i have a fardriver 72450 which is 200 line and 450 phase and my motor can handle 220 phase before it starts getting too hot and losing power.

    Why can't I connect inside the FarDriver app on COMM tab ? No ones bound to it, the module isn't communicating with the controller. But does communicate with both IPhone 12 and Samsung Galaxy, I've even tried connecting my PC using the PC software.

      @@EmxBrandon come to find out, the guy who was employed to build this bike NEVER bound to it, we've tried multiple types of phones, Including iPhone 12 and Android, on the updated FarDriver app, got APK file from FarDriver themselves, we've identified that the Bluetooth module is communicating with the phones, in all cases, when opening the app, and scroll over to the COMM, we can see the dongle appearing as YaunQs.. we can click on it, nothing happens, above that it reads:
      *BLE CONNECTED, Controller Connecting. . . . *
      And we can't click on it to bind.
      So, the ble module seems to be communicating with our phones, but not the controller, I have new BLE module coming today in the mail. If this doesn't work, perhaps RXD & TXD pins in the factory harness isn't right I hear they sometimes have them switched. I'll check pins in the BLE connector tonight, to confirm all 4 pins reading 533ov and if that's all good then it's the controller itself.. idk what else to try

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  9 месяцев назад +1

      The reducer i have in thr video is a 5 wire and the one little red wire is a switch wire to turn on the reducer, so yes 100% i would run alteast that small red off reducer into the keyed switch wire! Then of course the other 4 are 2 for 72v input power and ground and 2 for 12v output power and ground. You can also do this with a 3 wire but youd be running all your 48/72v load from the reducer through your key switch along with powering the controller. But that shouldnt be an issue as usually those 3 wire only do 15amps at 12v on the high end

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  9 месяцев назад +1

      @johnny_digital7175 for sure yeah if you use the 5 wire one it will be keyed like i said, or run the 3 wire the same way through the key switch and youll be dialed! All the grounds i usually make a connector that loops all the grounds straight back to the reducers black or you can solder them all to one wire and connector it to controller ground.

    I assumed line current is power from the battery and phase current is whats sent to the motor, but this controller has a higher rated phase current compaed to its line. so what am i missing, can you help?

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  7 месяцев назад +1

      That question is way above my pay grade 😆 but yes line current is whats pulled from the battery and converted to phase amps to the 3 phase wires. Most or all controllers will have a higher phase amp number. I look at it as line amps is your horse power and phase amps is your torque.
