keep in mind that you can still get most of these gestures after clearing the game.I finished everything (killed every boss except soul of cinder) and I'm now doing all possible grind and getting everything I can before I move on to NG+, and I was able to get most NPC-dependent gestures still. The ones I haven't been able to get are:
--> Toast and Sleep: my Siegward was already in the well, I forgot to talk with him after the Fiery Demon and thus didn't get it. I was however still able to get the other gesture from him (rejoice), by going to patches, buying his armor, and giving it back (This after clearing every boss in the game and going back to the well). --> Dignified Bow: I didn't know if I was supposed to get the levels from Yoel or if it would bite me in the ass later, so I didn't, and quickly forgot about him. At some point, he just dies, and Yuria doesn't show up. --> Proper Bow: I cleared the game without ever using embers or summoning any NPCs (git gud) which means I didn't get Yellowfinger. --> Duel Bow: same as above, no summons --> By my sword: Same as above --> Silent Ally: HAVEN'T TRIED THIS ONE YET. WIll try soon, I'll update this comment if it works with the game cleared. Don't see any reason that it shouldn't work though. UPDATE: The guy was still in his original position, since the first time I spoke to him I didn't have 10 int. I spoke to him, he went to firelink, I gave him all the scrolls and got the gesture, the 2 rings, and all the sorceries.

@@pradavik They all just require serious focus and precise timing. They're not awful, personally. It certainly guarantees repeat playthroughs, which I like, because it makes you get better at the game, and you often find things you missed the first time around, not *just* the side quests. That said, I totally get that how ambiguous and unclear they are is definitely not everyone's cup of tea! 😎🤙🏻
i missed darkmoon loyalty because I talked to the girl from rosaria fingers, I didnt have the covenant equipped tho, thought it would only affect the npc if I was wearing the item. RIP time for NG++

for the silent ally one you actually have to get the first 2 scrolls otherwise, he'll leave and won't come back, therefore making it impossible to do the quest on that playthrouh

You should move the silent ally one earlier, the guy disappears at this point in the game if you didn't bring enough scrolls to him in time. He disappeared in my game and now I'm screwed.

You make one wrong move because the games do not explain anything at all, then you've missed the opportunity to obtain an item, complete a quest, unlock a trophy etc. Looks like I'll have to play through again which I'm tired of doing after 5 games if you count Bloodborne. How is anyone supposed to know if you join this covenant then this person decides to not give you an item? How is anyone supposed to know that if you wondered into this area and killed the boss that you were supposed to have visited another area first to save someone so they can be summoned and obtain an item? They don't, they have to result to a guide before even playing the game otherwise, risk missing tons of stuff then play through yet again. Other than that, good guide here, just wish I didn't have to result to guides to do things in the Souls games.

beckon - 2:55 pretty sure I killed him there proper bow - completed the game and all bosses, went back to this area, made sure I was embered, nothing spawns. rejoice & prostration - opened this door long ago, don't have either gesture dignified bow - can't get because I killed yoel early dual bow - can't get because I killed yoel and have never owned a single dark sigil quiet resolve (step 3) - I have a blue light, like a gemstone sitting there (I know I spoke to both in the firelink, but maybe I'm too late into the game) call over - was able to get this, you can hit the fog to help it disappear quicker. I play on an external ssd on my ps5 and it still gets the fog every now and then. Load times are about twice as fast though.

+Guillaume Abbo you cannot unfortunatly. You get the ring in an area after the Abyss Watchers. If the Abyss Watcher's are dead you cant summon yellowfinger
@ 21:24 - its not that easy. In fact its kind of a pain to get the proper bow gesture, and through 3 playthroughs I haven't gotten it by just killing heysel. There's a specific questline you have to follow in order to get the gesture, and doing this quest will keep you from getting other items and gestures in the game, namely the darkmoon loyalty gesture and the dragonslayer's axe. So if you want all items and gestures associated with this quest, you HAVE to run through the game a second time. This really should be noted in the video.

i'm working on the Proper Bow gesture, and i had Yellowfinger invade me, but because I was in Crucifixion Woods, I had someone from the Watchdogs of Farron invade. I haven't had too much experience from invasions and I always have embers used, but I had to deal with a giant crab, Yellowfinger, and the invader. Health went down fast but luckily I had Yellow killed by the crab, I got away from the crab just in time, and plus the invader was using the dragon items. It had my heart pumping fast but it was crazy and fun. Thank you for the video, it is very helpful on explaining how to get the gestures.

This guide really helped i was only missing proper bow and by my sword before seeing a guide. Has no idea i had to summon phantoms to learn emotes

i'm working on the Proper Bow gesture, and i had Yellowfinger invade me, but because I was in Crucifixion Woods, I had someone from the Watchdogs of Farron invade. I haven't had too much experience from invasions and I always have embers used, but I had to deal with a giant crab, Yellowfinger, and the invader. Health went down fast but luckily I had Yellow killed by the crab, I got away from the crab just in time, and plus the invader was using the dragon items. It had my heart pumping fast but it was crazy and fun. Thank you for the video, it is very helpful on explaining how to get the gestures.
Do you have to do proper bow in a really specific order? Because I haven't killed the abyss watchers and the summon didn't appear again…
So much stuff to do for gestures GESTURES SERIOUSLY
If I do these in order of the video will I get them in 1 playthrough?? Or will certain ones lock if I pursue others?
I got every single one and still never got the achievement. Any help?
