I like Sennecke but more in the 10 range. At 5 we need to take one of Demidov, Lindstrom, Iginla or Parekh if they decide they want a right shot dman.

Habs #5 pick: if available in this order Demidov, Lindstrom, Iginla, Sennece.
Habs should not enter a bidding war for Necas or Zegras, or consider lazy Laine.
It would be a dream to have a swcond top 15 pick.
Gorton's player development team salvaged Caufield then worked wonders with Xhekaj and Slafkovsky. I think Sennecke will come down to what their development team thinks they can do with him. Apparently Lindstrom was trained by Brendan Gallagher's father so they have lots of info on him. I'd expect Montreal to grab Lindstrom if available, he has said he wants to play in Montreal. The big problem is probably former Carolina GM Waddell who is now the GM in Columbus. The Jackets need a defence man badly but Waddell said no, he wants scoring. He might take Lindstrom just to spite Montreal, even though Bergevin is gone. Either way Montreal gets a good prospect. Iginla or Dickenson are possible, depending on who is taken. I don't think the Russian is high on their list, is a potential development issue and Hughes will draft size anyway. I like Sennecke a lot, he fits into the rebuild perfectly, they need a big right winger with size and skill.

I prefer Sennecke over Iginla. The Russian is risky. Lindstrom is hurt. Ð-man well, that's why Hughes is making the big money.

His product isn’t in line with what you would expect from a top 5 pick and the other issue I have is he just looks slow at the junior level. There’s almost zero clips of him blowing by anyone. Nice hands nice compete, no idea how he is in consideration at 5 he’s more a 15-20 pick to me
I consider the CH at the crossroad. We are technically close to the "lower" we can be in this rebuild. This selection is absolutely capital. Getting a good scorer would change our face entirely. And it can be done just by drafting. That's why I would do everything I can to have a second first pick in the top 14. Getting out with a Lindstrom and a Catton. Or out with a Lindstrom Sennecke... We would be set. In 3 years from now, Montreal will be a strong house. If we remember that we are still fully in a rebuild right now. Exchanging for a "top 6" that is not really one, is not the solution... I bet Kent knows it and won't do a big trade for an established player like the Dach trade...
Lindstrom’ a back is a huge concern for me.
This pick would be a reach just like taking Kotkaniemi at 3

we will only regret it if he that another d man at 5th , igi , catton ,sennecke or eiserman leave lindstrom because of his back and no defence in 1st round .........
