If you can physically help in the search for Falcor this coming weekend (26th-27th November), please send an email to findfalcor@protonmail.com. We will be searching in the area north of Aurskog and east of Årnes.
Falcor was apparently spotted last night not too far from where he disappeared, he is still alive so there is still hope.
If that is the case the owners need to go to the place and put a dog box with an unwashed item of clothing. Put water nearby but no food as that will attract predators. The scent of home will be what brings the dog back. He is probably frightened and hiding, vets will say they often come out at night when less afraid. I probably, if it were me, (even if not allowed) set up camp by the dog box with unwashed blankets (that need to stay dry). It is one of the best ways to find a dog is by familiar scents from home.🤗
Not many people would take the time to actively look for a lost dog belonging to someone else. Much love and respect to you for that!!
I do something similar, except My lost ones are My furred and feathered fallen Brothers and Sisters to the vehicles of Men and I come across them and relocate them somewhere in the woods where I live. I can't always relocate them if they happen to be a beaver because they're too heavy, porcupine because they're too quilly and skunks because they smell 100X worse when they're dead, but others like cats, rabbits, little ones, I backtrack from where I was doing something else and head to the woods...getting tears in My eyes writing this...
I hope the dog is found safe and sound.
Best of luck finding the dog. Our family dog was lost for 7 days in the Finnish woods until she was finally found. It was a miracle.
You are probably safer out in the woods than, at home standing on a coffee table, trying to change a light bulb.
Most likely!
My brother's dog was accidentally let out by a pet sitter in Northern Louisiana. She was gone for 40 days. My brother followed up on lead after lead. People saying they just saw her this went on for weeks on the 40th day he went to a daycare center. He walked and around for a while and started heading back to his car. He turned around and there she was hanging out under rhe buidling 2 pounds lighter but healthy. Don't give up!
Bjorn..,. Sad story. ...,I took in my daughter's Chihuahua. His name was Peanut. Without going into too much detail, I took him in because the alternative wasn't good for him. He had already lived with me before and when he came here, he was very happy. He was older. He had aged to the point where I would carry him outside. It was early spring and we had absolutely beautiful weather. I took him out. He almost seemed like his younger self. I looked at him and thought, I'm going to let him enjoy himself. I walked into my garage and sat down for about 3 minutes. When I walked back out, he was gone. It was shocking because he couldn't walk that well. It was horrible. We searched hard and aggressively to find him but with no avail. We never found him. I was so depressed. It took me years to get over that. I hope you find your dog.
Im sorry to hear that, you gave him happines and love and I think he was very glad to have you in his life
@@monkoko6441 Thank you for the kind comment!
You're a good man. Helping and taking care
Your light. Like Grandpa used to say,
" Buy the best. You won't be disappointed."
Hello Bjorn , You are a good man , In pain obviously , but still out helping to find the Missing dog ! , I wish that I also could have been out there searching too , Best wishes , Be Well , Strength , Honour and much Respect from England .
Yes, sight hounds can be difficult to find. They tend to cover large areas quickly
Perhaps there is a sound the dog's family thinks it would respond to like a squeak toy or bell.
Loosing a dog is like loosing a family member…terrible. Best wishes that the beautiful one will be found and returned safe and sound…💝
I hope that the Dog will be found, ✌️ peace from the Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪
You do Odin's work, Bjorn. Thanks for being a helpful citizen. 🐕
Now that's what i call a NOBLE cause!!! You are a good MAN Bjorn!!!
More important to be looking for the lost dog than watching television. We appreciate that your out there looking for the dog. Safe returns for the dog and comfort for the owners.
Not when he has an injured foot it isn't. He is more important than the dogs.
I love walking with you in the woods!
Ive lost a dog before too...once when I was a kid we had a couple puppies go missing and i found them shaking inside a sewer pipe under the railroad tracks! I tucked one puppy under each arm and carried them home.
So good to hear it ended well!
There was a dog lost for 5 months and we were able to find and capture it in February. I saw it run by my house from time time. I remeber 3 months went bye. Thought it was gone. but then I saw it run by twice at night on the road. It was a abused rescue dog and didnt trust people. Just encouragement to keep hope alive. My four legged friend past yesterday. 17 years of great memories..
There is always hope. Thank you. And my thoughts are with you.
You are such a good man and an outstanding citizen to your community. I think this is one of your most important videos to date. It's videos like this that youth needs to see... especially young boys.
Good on you mate from Australia
We call it a logging road. 🤞🤞I hope the dog is found safe and sound.
I do so hope bredren that you will be able to find and locate this beautiful canine.😪
Best of luck! Lost my dog for 3 days once. Found and I never stopped looking. Owner needs to put out an article of clothing and or the dogs bedding with trail cam.
Maybe that would be a good area to hike/camp around throughout the winter? It's efforts like these that should be held
in higher regard than self driving cars and such. Hope Falcor returns! Bet he'll have quite a story to tell when he does.
Good on you buddy! You are making the world a better place!
What about a loud whistle? That would cover a lot of ground around you.
Could drone footage be helpful also?
I give thanks people such as yourself exist!
There will be in part 2.
A drone is an excellent idea!! Maybe people can donate drones to pet rescue organisations, so that it'll be easier to locate the animal. Drones can reach places humans can't.
I found two lost dogs and I was happier than the owner's sadly. One was tiny dog like 5 lbs. and the owner came to get her without a leash with her nor grateful or worried. I was happy the lil dog was found before dark here in Seattle.
Borzoi are beautiful dogs! Bjørn, sending you strength and wishing you luck in finding Falcor! You truly are a wonderful person!
Falcor is the big dog dragon from “The Neverending Story” I hope he’s ok.
Hope and pray the dog is found safe and sound. Bless you for trying to help Bjorn.
🥺hope u find him.
Hope you find him, your a good man!
Why are you doing it? Because you are a caring person. I hope you have success in finding Falcor. The world needs a lot more caring humans.
Hats off to your dedication to find that dog.
Greetings from Michigan , the Upper Peninsula is in the Woods ! Binoculars
I hope that dog finds its way home. Can you run your drone up there when the weather clears?
Around here, when they thin the trees, they have a machine that they bring in that cleans up all the branches and mulches them, leaving the area debris free.
He is wearing a reflexvest, so that megalight you got there, should do the trick when the dark comes
Exactly.
You have a good heart, Bjorn.
Thanks for helping looking for Falcor!
What a kind man you are. What a lovely name for a dog. The human guardians have given this sweet dog a lovely name, inspired I guess by the beautiful luck dragon from never ending story. I wish you and Falcor and his human guardians luck.
How did you guess...how did you know... Falcor ... never ending story...honor & glory.
K.U.D. thank you noble soul
You're the best Bjorn.
Does your dog bite ? NO ! Ouch ! I thought you said your dog didn’t bite ? That’s not my dog ! Funny scene
You are an amazing Human Being! To be continued hopefully with falcor happily running to you.
Do the right thing Bjørn👊🏽well done🤙🏽
Bless you Brother.
This is a Fine and Honorable thing your doing Bjorn. Years ago my dog ran off during a heavy thunder storm. She was missing four days and nights. I hardly slept and search constantly when it was day light. I made some posters with her picture. It was a kind man who spotter her which lead to me finding her the very early morning of the fifth day five miles away. She was so happy as I was and we both slept a long time. Kind Thanks Bjorn! Wish I could be there to help search! Many Blessings with Love, Light, Peace and Joy of Being! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
You got a good heart for animals Bjorn. 👍
Over head drone coverage could enhance foot search
Just a few points which we covered when trying to search for a stolen dog, not lost dog but some of the searching advice still counts is that we phoned every shelter, vets and pound just in case, we also put leaflets out and messages all over the internet and all over the country we put out internet ads on the lost dog sites. If lost specifically a vet will tell you to search an area of 50 miles outwards from the area the dog was last seen and if in an unfamiliar area the dog may be more likely to come out at night when it is less frightened. What possible predators are in the area ie wildlife or what obstacles are nearby like mine shafts etc. Has every Vet been called, every dog pound, every shelter? Use google maps to make sure all areas have been thoroughly covered and incase of accidents could they be under bushes or scrub. If in woodland was it a place they knew well. Go to the car parks you parked in before your walk, if you can put up CCTV on a tree to see if the dog returns to the area you started if you are not around. Also if you can put up a weatherproof shelter with a sign saying why it is there and explain to the local land wardens what it is for and why, place an old unwashed item from the family home as a dog can detect scent more easily. Also contact land managers as they may know the land better (probably doesn't happen in Norway but where I am you can get illegal poachers who lay traps and the wildlife wardens know and keep an eye out and have a better awareness of what goes on). Ask hikers to keep an eye out. Time now is of the essence because of possible injury. If lost the dog may have become bewildered and frightened but will still be able to find water and possible shelter. Use your instinct go with a feeling as that is how I found my lost cat after 4 weeks of searching when we had moved. I just woke up one morning and instead of panicking I thought ok where could he be and I had him home by tea time. This is why it is a good idea to get a tracker for your pet when you are away from home or moving home. Good luck. Praying for a wonderful outcome.🙏🤗
Oh well done bjorn
You are amazing
That’s all I have to say
Amazing
Good luck in finding My lost Brother and returning them to the owner. Skål! Poor lost poochie! He must be sad and scared. How did he get lost? 🤔🥺😭💔
You are very kind bjorn this was very kind to do
Well done Bjorn, heres to hoping that your efforts are not in vain. Borsois and Salukis are both difficult to keep, for me Lurchers are the best because you tend to be mixing a Longdog with a Collie so you get the best of both worlds, brains, speed and endurance.
Blimey mate you never fail to inspire ,you are a Carer of the world thank you xx keep warm tonight i hope you have support out there and i hope with all my heart and soul Falcor is found safe and well !! Thank you for saying you did not need the Bacon and i hope your Toe recovers fast enough for you to walk pain free , Man i was with you all the way ,,,Bjorn so many out there would be like you but have restrictions but please keep inspiring them to come forward, we can all do more , i do and will always help where i can , well done
I hope that the dog is found in good condition. I really like your videos and share all of them.
Such good thing you are doing, I so hope you guys find him, wishing you the best of luck.
There aren't many owners that would put in this kind of effort to find their own dog! Thank you SO MUCH Bjørn for this mission of love and kindness to find Falcor! You are a good man - best wishes in your search! :)
Skal Bjorn greetings from the ohio woods, hope and pray that the dog is found and you heal up alright,we are with you in your videos, you are not alone, thanks for being who you are, health and blessings to you, your family and your beautiful dogs, get better and stay strong
Come home puppy
Maybe if you bring out his blanket with a kennel, along with some familiar food he will show up there. 😣
Yes, the dog owners did that, but the land owner said they were going to start cutting trees, so they had to move it out of the area. Like it was in the way or something...
@@BjornOutdoors I don't know how I missed it that it wasn't your dog. But in any case, I hope you find him. It is a terrible thing to know that poor dog is out there. Maybe even worse, the land owners don't care.
You should use a drone for the search.
I find this totally great from you, looking for the dog! The size of this open wilderness, although I like it very much, also makes me feel really lost. Like the dog must have been, too (still watching, have seen there is a part 2 and really hoping that you have found him).
I hope you find your dog.
Where’s your camera drone ? Eyes in the sky
Really good light bjorn
Very interesting video from you .
Lifes pretty tough for animales at the moment ...
Always make sure you stand on a chair thatt is sturdy..bjorn ..ok .look forward to next video.
Thanks for sharing ..and with you in viking spirit ..SKAL.
Need some kind of sound device to attract the dog
Be more specific, please.
@@BjornOutdoors maybe Chris means a dog whistle etc.
The use of a dog whistle or the sound of a puppy crying will bring him to you
I hope that the dog gets found in good health
Start a camp fire…. Cook a big juicy steak… by now dog is starving… will come running to your barbecue! But bacon should do it
Yes, good idea.
What an interesting idea for a club or society - hiking lovers with a purpose. Like a little volunteer rescue society for lovers of outside adventures who could offer to help find lost pets in the wilderness. I can imagine a few local fans who could come to help. Would playing a loud recording of a dog or hound attract the lost dog. Anyone who sabotages fox hunts in the UK know that a recording of hounds making the sound of hounds who have found a scent and who are chasing prey attract other hounds. A recording with a blue tooth speaker might help.
So selfless of you and caring. So glad you stayed off your couch:)
I know we are of different faith but I Respect you and know too by you doing this You are a Good Man..I think a small prayer won't hurt matters..please know I'm saying one hopefully to help please don't be affended..
I love all dogs and Send You a Huge Thankyou For Caring Too..
Love and Light from England 🇬🇧
❤❤❤❤❤
💙💙💙
I hope they get him back. keep us updated please. I have done the same thing. this one family lost 3 dogs at the same time. we think someone stole them. because they never were found. that was a few years ago. good luck and bless you.
Man withe a mission
Til next time
After 14 days it’s probably fell prey to the wolfs
I didn't see any signs of that.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I sometimes let my terriers off up the woods but I know if they get a sent they will be away .
Hope you were able to find lost one
Your dog will be found. I'm getting something about a woman who notifies you he is in animal shelter, OR that the dog is found when looking from a higher elevation.
They may not all be bad , but Doctors & Nurses have lost my trust ,
What about using a whistle or something?
Dog whistle, Drone search? You might have tried that...
There is a second part that will soon be uploaded.
@@BjornOutdoors Should have known that.
Do they try using other dogs to search for a missing dog? Or placing something with the owners scent with the food?
I alys wondered why you do not have a Norwegian elk hound, we had two successively, then got a pair of Sieberian Huskies that were friendlier but mostly entertainment not utility, especially as far as being a watch dog/tracker. Not even a nibble of that bacon? You are stronger willed than me.
Would a drone help?
Greetings, Bjorn! Did you ever find Falcor? It's now been a whole year since he's gone missing. Dingaka anyone else find him? Please let me know. Thanks, Phillip!
Did anyone else find him? Please let me know! I'm, Phillip! 4:21
Sorry for the typing errors. I'm using my mobile telephone. My regards, Phillip!
No, sadly. But I bought a bunch of game cams and they are still out there.
Is it just me or Bjørn's voice is changing? It feels like it becomes more coughy
How did they loose their dog?
Was he found and returned safely to his family? Does anyone know?
Hi Bjorn, Well, I hope by the time you edited this your wife found out about your foot and took you to a doctor. My dear man, as we get older walking around on hurt toes can end up doing a lot of damage. If it were to get infected, you could have a problem. While you are a kind man trying to help, risking your health is not a good idea. I don't like hosptials either, but at least get to a doctor to get your foot checked. I hope that your friend finds their dog. Please, don't do anything like that again. You're fans out here care for you. Hope your foot is healing. Be well and stay safe.
Hi there
If you hurt your toe weeks ago, and it's still not healed, my guess is that you _broke_ your toe.
Act accordingly!
Yes, well, you might be right.
try bringing a squeaky toy with you. Dogs love those noises and they can hear it from a long shot.
I really hope the dog can be found. I can’t imagine my dog being lost like that
Hey there Bjorn, best of luck with your searching 🥲
