Bjorn, I just have to say: thank you. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and others like me. I started watching your videos in 2020- it was at a time when I was the lowest I had ever been. Your videos have helped me reconnect with nature and all the beautiful things in the world when before I hated waking up and going and doing anything. When every waking moment was spent in misery. Now I look forward to watching the sunrise, going on hikes in nature and so much more this beautiful planet has to offer. I agree with you completely Bjorn. Right now I am reading John Seymour's book " The Self Sufficient Life and How to Live it". Highly recommended. The answer to climate change is to plant more trees not less.

I discovered that book in a musty box in my parents basement when I was 14... I've poured through it dozens of times over the years. I'm now 39 living on an offgrid (mortgage free) 35 acre homestead in Canada. That book has given me so much inspiration.
John Seymour is one of my heroes! For putting climate change in a solutions-perspective, I recommend Lester R Brown's Plan B 4 - available in many languages and downloadable for free, too.
For the last 15 days, a huge part of my country, Greece, has been burnt to the ground. Roughly 808.000 acres have been absolutely obliterated due to "wildfires". The corruption of our governments threatens what we hold most dear, our forest, our mountains, our sea.
1. They are not human. 2. They are doing opposite what they saying. 3. "You will know them by their fruits"
I had a job as a geologist that involved accessing property. There was a state law that allowed me to do this, but we always asked regardless and honored the property owner’s wishes. In 40+ years I was absolutely denied only once by a wind farm and I am certain they didn’t want me finding dead migratory birds. This is a huge problem in the Appalachians as the birds have ridden updrafts from mountains that trend 90 degrees or so to prevailing winds for millennia!
They will literally rip the top off a mountain to harvest coal in Appalachia lol
Just watched a video of the exploitation of the early Appalachian settlers with people conning them out of their mineral rights. A very bloody history from the beginning. I am surprised more of a fight is not being mounted against the current degradation.

Great video Bjorn. It's getting bad in the UK land being grabbed by large corporations to offset carbon, prices of land have doubled in 2 years, they're cutting down millions of trees. We are a small island and they are destroying it.

I was connected to our local eight hectare fen (wetland) here in BC. Folks up the hill and I fought to save it in the late eighties, and early nineties. The subdivisions dwellers did nothing. The developer built a huge sewage dam ( 70’) and three other (Domino Effect) lagoons above the defective unmonitored earthenstorage lagoon. The safety drain wasn’t lined, and there is a siesmic thrust fault a short distance away. Stole all the ‘constant and efficient hydraulic connectivity to Blind Bay’. Shuswap Lake is badly polluted now. My wife used to swim in it and drink water from the shore as a toddler. Now the lake is extremely putrefied. It’s not just the forests, it’s also the water we are loosing, and the nurseries of life. The local media refuses to write an article on this. Sad. Like your stories.

Those proposing this nonsense are simply not human. They can't be with this mindset. Even a psychopath can appreciate a tree and know that it sustains the essentials in life.
I guess this is an attempt to return an equivalent of coal underground to sequester carbon from the atmosphere, then they would plant new trees in their place to absorb even more carbon, then replicate the process. It’s possible there is some merit in this idea, but it would need to be done at an enormous scale to make much of a difference, so is probably more of a gimmick.

It's about lying and getting suckers to believe it. Cutting down trees and burying them to save the climate is the most absurd idea possibly ever and anyone with a functioning brain knows it. Gates & Co are psychopaths plain and simple.
A few years ago I got into an on-line discussion of using firewood for heating and taking fallen trees out of the woods, like my family used to do when I was a kid. The local forest service would open areas for free firewood harvesting each year. It was a great program, the forests were cleared of excess fuel on the ground, folks, like my family, got free wood for heating, a real win-win situation.
Anyway, someone on the message system shot back stating that was horrible, burning the wood would release all that CO2. I replied that if the wood was left in the forest, it would also release just as much CO2 as it decayed. This person was astonished to hear that, I guess they thought fallen trees just lay there forever. Then, after I explained that, they came back saying that burning the wood releases all that CO2 at once. True, I replied, but if a fallen tree takes say 50 years to rot away and you have 50+ years of fallen trees covering the forest floor, there's at least 1 years worth of CO2 released every year from all those trees decaying.
Then I pointed out that instead of burning that wood for heat and releasing the CO2 in that wood, instead I would have to burn something like natural gas to get that same heat, thus releasing additional CO2, on top of that from the decaying wood on the forest. Never got a reply to that come back.
This free firewood was in northern Idaho in the US. I now live in northern Calif. and it's illegal to remove even one stick of wood from the local forests and many days out of the year, it's illegal to have wood fire to heat your house.
I guess they enjoy the massive fires they have to constantly fight. The original natives knew how to manage the forest better.
I don’t think our situation can be saved without some kind of higher intervention. The maniacs won’t stop until they have destroyed everything.

But i am reminded of when i was in primary school and a bird flew into our classroom window and broke it's neck, Yet i do not fault all windows or think they should all be removed. Regardless of what i feel about wind turbines and how much i like eagles i don't think we should make any decisions based on rare occurrences like this.

We fought against clear cutting years ago, so now clear cutting will be ok with a twist. Trees create our oxygen we breath from the carbon they want to get rid of.

I would be afraid to tell anyone this, I have seen it elsewhere, I would lose the last bit of credibility I have left and be ridiculed. There are very few people I can even talk to.
I spent hours in my local woods yesterday. I got to spend some time observing a beautiful family of white tailed deer. They are so beautiful . I love how aware they are, how they notice me and how they respond when I speak to them. Its truly an incredible experience .
I also got to spend some time with a Great Blue Heron. These encounters are the highlights of my life.
I live in Staten Island NY, which is the 5th and forgotten borough of NYC.
Woodlands have been quickly disappearing here, but I am lucky to live surrounded by protected Greenbelts. The worlds largest garbage dump was located here, and has thankfully been shut down now for quite a few years. It has been reclaimed by nature after the cleanup efforts. It will become a beautiful park and I look forward to it opening. It is already incredibly beautiful and you might not ever bee able to tell it was a dump if you didn't already know.
Today in my local paper it stated that an endangered or of concern species of turtle , the diamondback terrapin, has been seen in this parkland. It was hunted to near extinction and is now making a beautiful comeback due to the restoration of this habitat.
I agree with you about getting back to nature. We need to be stewards of nature and wildlife.
