This is Bushcraft Camp 3.0 (my woodland camp) in one movie. I was hoping to add some more to this, but I’m not sure whether to move it to another area as the light is so good in this spot it would be great for growing new young trees. What are your thoughts? Obviously I can’t really move the brick oven!
Do you have any other open glades? The sunlight might to nice to have for a camp. My tiny camp is set up in an area that receives shade mostly, and that's good because the summers here (Maryland USA) are BAKING. So the shade is welcomed. In Winter the trees lose their leaves and there's plenty of sun. The UK 's summers generally are not as hot, but having a little shade might be nice. I'm a fan of growing as many trees as possible, but there is something about finding an open glade within a wood that has a magic to it.
I'd say you'd know your working conditions better than us. If you can get more out of the other site then it might be a good idea, even if it's a lot of work. But if everything you have set up is working fine (plus you have the good light) then there's no need to move. Maybe (if possible) have a smaller camp at the other location to compromise?
It is FINE seeing you do a good bit of bushcraft using a variety of tools and techniques. It is also FINE seeing your TOTALLY AWESOME FATHER has not yet exhausted his supply of bent nails.
Jax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey buddy! How are you? Not seen jacks in a long time. LOL. You need to bring Jack out more often. He's the real star of the show.
This is such a relaxing ASMR for me. I had a neck spinal cord injury, where I'm not confined to a chair but simple daily tasks and walking around the house are major chores for me. I love living vicariously through you guys. chop chop chop Dig dig dig Saw saw saw. So glad your channel caught my eye, several years ago
You may, or may not be aware of this statement guys', but, your doing both your predecessors and your nation very proud. Fantastic project! Well done! And... Thanks for another great Vid...
Awesome video!. Watching you knock up the mortar for the bricks made my lower back hurt lol. Having been a brickys mate for three years. It was really cool to see you and your dad build everything Mike. These are the precious moments I realise when I'm helping my father with the odd job. Great stuff mate!.
Wonderful, thanks for editing. There are often scenes I really can smell: the bacon, the wet leaves, the mushrooms, the soil, the bricks, the smoke, the fish-and always the wood, of course.
Mike it's a great spot, stay there. The light is great, and you don't need to move. We'll done!!! And thanks to Dad for helping out. You guys work so well together.
What an awesome job you and your dad have done, the area looks good, you can see straight out to the paddock.. You will have some fond memories to cherish working with your father .. great video 🐕❤
Loads of fun applying skills to create good function and appearance. You selected the spot you’ve begun. Good judgment. Why doubts? Complete the plan! Have fun!
This is gave me nostalgia and a smile on my face seeing a new camp, I remember watching the OG camp of the channel with my father, and seeing you build with your father. I wanna say thanks for continuing on and making these videos, bushcraft is one of my favorite hobbys and creative expressions. Hope yall have a wonderful day.
I missed this when it first came out and was so happy to have found it today. You and your Dad building in the woods is always cool. A lot of us found you with that pallet shed. Seems like a great experience to build with him.
The first video I watched was you and your dad building the pa;;et cabin. I always enjoy watching you and your dad build stuff. I will be moving to some land, and one of the first things I think I'm going to build is a brick oven!
I don't know if y'all have the phrase "Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None" saying, across the pond. Everytime I watch Mr. Graeme (Hope I spelled that right), he is DEFINITELY A Jack Of All Trades and Master of them ALL!
Thanks for another great video. I've not handled a bushknife or ax nearly as much as you and always appreciate learning from watching your techniques. Some other content creators seem so careless in comparison.
I love my Woodman's Pal! Not sure if you know, but the eye can be used to hammer out pegs the same size as your drill hole... Saves time in whittling.... Love your videos, thank you for the wonderful share!
One thing that I *really* need is a voiced bushcraft shelter build in which you explain tools, process, methods, etc. I also need to figure out whether I want to buy a multi tool first or a good bushcraft knife. I hate shopping.
You should team up with Donny Wilcox and take an adventure out to the inner / outer Hebrides, or summer isles. And see how to apply bushcraft in remote islands. 👍
Beautiful oven. The idea of using dirt for your mixer instead of sand was brilliant. I’ve never seen that before. Use what you have. Will it hold? Thanks 🎸🔪
I would continue to use the camp. The new trees will grow - your using the camp won't stop them. :) Question: I am wanting to build a natural masonry stove using the rocks on my property that are the same colour as your mortar. What are the ingredients of that? It looked like you put dirt from the ground into either cement or S-mortar. What is the ratio? So glad to see your dad working along side you.
I have a video suggestion. Can you make an update to your 6 year old video on knots. I’m new to bush crafting and a video on knots would be very helpful.

Good light is also necessary for good filming. You and your father have put too much of yourselves into this to take it down.

I think the spot is awesome. So nice to see you building again and that your dad could join you.
Leave well enough alone...the trees will grow elsewhere if you let them. Love y'all😊
It is FINE seeing you do a good bit of bushcraft using a variety of tools and techniques. It is also FINE seeing your TOTALLY AWESOME FATHER has not yet exhausted his supply of bent nails.
FINE meaning an awesome throw back.
Remember that one time when he had to buy nails and he almost had a heart attack 🤣
I love the silent videos. Trying to figure out what you're building without any explanation is really fun. Thanks.
He should add commentary with subtitles like Primitive Technology
Agree
Jax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey buddy! How are you? Not seen jacks in a long time. LOL. You need to bring Jack out more often. He's the real star of the show.
