We’re going for Tuesday uploads from this day forward! To help you remember, think “TA Tuesdays” 😁Will aim for around 5pm U.K. time. See you next week!
In the states we have toco Tuesday at toco John's 😂 so I'll remember love seeing you camping in something spacious for a change big enough for the hole family enjoy Love your videos
Buy a small plot of land next to a river build a small or large cabin using recycled materials like wood pallets, make a composting toilet 🚽 build a water turbine to generate electricity. Build diy plumbing system, pull water from river with pump. Filter it using a free diy water filter made from gravel, sand, screen, charcoal, then filter your drinking thru store bought water filter. To stay cool in Sumner build a diy Air conditioner with a fan, pump & radiator. Circulate cold river water through the radiator. Or just use regular AC since you have power from your water turbine generator. Buy small RV or van with a wetbath to live in 5 days a week. While you're in the city working.
Man says he's not a good cook, then casually makes lamb, garlic potatoes and asparagus on an open flame and serves it up with a garlic dip and some flatbread. That's a meal I'd pay a good bit of money for in a relatively fancy restaurant! And the chef there won't be kneeling next to a log fire either. Don't sell yourself short! The tent looks interesting, they're not cheap but I could use one for event camping (if I ever get to do that again). It's probably _very_ nice for a family camping setup.
My last year and a half of health issues has forced me to rethink my camping gear. It's no longer "that looks interesting, let's get it and try on our next camp" rather, " what gear do I WISH to take on my LAST camp". That adjusts the shopping list quite a bit, but you can't miss with RBM. Wonderful share, sir!
Brilliant video Mike and when your daughter called you it brought tears to my eyes, bringing back memories of when my 3 boys were that age. The inquisitiveness and the fascination with what their dad is up to is a wonderful thing. Keep it up Mike.
Great family tent. One modification I would make is to add a separation inside in the middle, that way you could use it as is or you could use one half to sleep and it would be easier to keep warm and the other half could be used as a kitchen area or living room/covered terrace
I'm a big fan of Kent survival and love his content, this is my first time watching your channel and am really impressed. The more British channels we get the better it gets. Excellent content and I love the tent
My wife's grandmother had asthma issues: she went to our Adirondacks region for two months each year and lived in a tent that was set on a plank platform. Church camps had similar setups but were organized into groups. One could live indoors, away from insects or they could sit outdoors as they pleased.
This seems to be the family or hunting camp version of a modern tent! I sleep on that OneTigris cot almost every day outdoors for several hours. This is a fine cot!
For $1.6k it’s not too bad. You could live in that thing for years. Had to edit and say your daughter was so damn cute “have you seen any owls?” So cute and priceless
I found something realy similar in Germany for 700€ (the stove not included) the company is just ordering big quantities from China and sells them for 3 times the price
I have been watching you for a few years now. That segment with your daughter was THE best content you've ever shot!!! Reminded me of my 5 year old daughter when I am away on business and she's calling me on her bed time...
I was debating whether to include it in as this happens on every trip I do. But the fact is, this is my life now and she (and my son) are a very big part of it. So I decided to leave it in.
@@TAOutdoors that is exactly one of the many reasons I love your content. You are not faking that you are something you are not, exactly the same when you have your dad on your videos. I used to love camping, but haven't been since my daughter was born and now, I am somewhat scared to do it with both my kids (5 years old daughter and 7 month old son)! Looking forward to your shooting family camping with your kids that might give me the confidence to do it myself!!!
Love RBM bought a winter tent a while ago and loved it but it was way too big for me and my dog so I ended up selling it to one of my friend that does ice fishing and the bigger tent was a bonus and a few years after I got myself a smaller version of their 4 season tent. Thanks for sharing!!
If you get into the habit of using the damper, you'll have much better efficiency out of your stove. If the fire hits the partly closed damper, it disperses the heat out from that point. If you're shooting the flames out the chimney, it's not only taking heat out, it's exhausting much more air than needed. Any air that shoots out the chimney has to be replaced by drawing in cold air from tent leaks. That's cooling the tent down, causing you to use more wood.
I love that tent! I had one that big when I had small children and it was made of canvas. It was heavy!! It had flaps to make two rooms if you wanted to, and it didn’t have accommodations for a stove, but other than that it was very similar. I loved that old tent! I found the simplest thing to use for a cooking fire if you were car camping, was a few rocks and a wire rack out of an old oven. It was plenty big, made for being in fire, and flat and easy to pack. I loved hearing your sweet little daughters voice.❤️🤗🐝
Looks like the perfect tent for family outings! You could easily spend a week in the winter using the outside as a refrigerator. Will be interesting to see how the family likes it. I'm sure Eve would enjoy the outdoor adventure.
My goodness you've got some gear mate. Epic gear. That sure is glamping. I wouldn't want to set all that up just for one night. I'd go fetch the family and say, "we're all going camping!"
Wow, that's a real beauty of a tent. What's amazing is how they make these things. Plus it will be great if you can go camping with your family instead of always being by yourself in a tent.
Mike. That table that came with the fire pit might be for pudding the fire pit on. Easy to clean up the ash, stops the ground from being burnt etc. Also keeps food warm if put on the table. 🤔 Also that tent s going to be great for your family, just the right size for 5. 😀👍
What a palace! I was gonna poo poo an inflatable tent but I’m totally chuffed! It needs an eve though. Will be great for you and the Fam! Best Regards and thank you for your hard work!
Great video! Where were these tents when I was young?! Love it! I think that zippered slit also allows access to a generator that you can have along the tent. Great find! The kids will love pumping this tent up to help dad!
Throughly enjoyed your video this week! While it’s not likely I will ever own a tent like that, I enjoy your enthusiasm and joy being out in nature having fun. I do miss Jax, though, and seeing your dad. Can’t wait for the Flat Pack Cabin 3.0! Lol
Yeah that is a very large tent. It does look comfortable like you mentioned it is more of a family or group tent and as long as one doesn't have to lug it too far it looks pretty good. Fire pit does look like a winner as well.
Oh yes, this would be lovely with the family - even if you don't film it, you can report on what went well with the equipment and what did not. And you can bring a small toilet so that they don't have to go outside in the dark. Perhaps even hang a curtain if your daughter is that age - I can't remember when exactly she was born but I'm guessing 5 or 6 years ago. Anyway, family time is what you work so hard for, so yay.
I would love to see this tent used in heavy rain. I've always wanted to get one for a road trip but haven't seen anyone use it in rainy conditions. Love the videos man.
Hi there alot of people put down a tarp first then place the tent onto the large tarp then put in pegs then add air and also extra mat or area rug for tent to give the people or person more comfort take care
I think a good tent idea is a combination of inflatable plus a few support poles.....un roll tent, steak down, inflate, insert support poles. The poles act as main support. The inflated areas are to help support secondary areas prone to sagging & to initially inflate/rsise the tent. Making it easier to setup the support poles. Another tent idea 💡 is removable insulation using lightweight tear resistant, mylar reflective type material that installs with velcro & has air gaps between tent wall & the insulation barrier. To create R-value.
This is the exact tent that I dream to own. I have disabilities, but I love camping. So a traditional pole tent is too much hard work for me to set up. I've watched several videos on it. One day 🤞
I've only ever used one inflatable tent, and that was in the 80s, was a 2-man dome style, and needed two boy scouts to re-inflate it every morning and evening. This one is much better!
I have a little campsite on the south coast of England and have seen those inflatable tents POP ….you have remember it will heat up and expand the air in the tubes to breaking point if the sun comes out or if the stove is on. Gotta say I have been very impressed with how most inflatable tents cope with wind storms, they seem very impressive!
Inflatable Tents are becoming more popular easy set up and no bags of parts to worry about just a little heavier. PS there are things called instructions 😊
Always good to have a drop sheet down before laying out tent. Protects the bottom of the tent from wear and tear. Most people lay rugs down on the inside for warmth on the feet. Just a suggestion.
Yes, that's the same tent that another RUclipsr received, but their stove didn't align with the hole in the tent. I felt bad for the guy. It looks like a durable and roomy canvas tent! We've been checking out some air tents in New Zealand. We like the black out feature with a room divider. We'll check their site out and see if they have that option. Cheers!! 🍻
From the USA 🇺🇸. I love your channel brother! Miss my daughter being that age forsure, but she's 18 now and we love going together now. Awsome experience as always bro. P.S. Jax is the best bushcraft companion either hehe!

@@kingrafa3938That sounds like a really good plan!🎉🫔🌯

Honestly, this is the first tent I’ve seen that I would seriously consider living in for months.
I bought it last year and it's AMAZING!

Aww, Eve sounds like she wanted to be out there with you, watching owls! Lol, hug the fam for us, and thank you for sharing your time!
what a great beast of a tent! *Helpful tip; roll your window and other coverings under.. that will reduce trapped water in case it does rain. Glamping
That small opening at 9:54 is for electric hook up.
Right

Excellent content and I love the tent
Fantastic roomy tent. My only negative would be that it needs a nice big awning over the front door.
Good luck getting it back in the bag!
That has got to be the cutest thing I have heard in ages: "Daddy have you seen any owls?"
My wife's grandmother had asthma issues: she went to our Adirondacks region for two months each year and lived in a tent that was set on a plank platform. Church camps had similar setups but were organized into groups. One could live indoors, away from insects or they could sit outdoors as they pleased.
Sounds like paradise.
I’m thinking of making a platform for this so my kids and wife can enjoy camping in it off the ground.
Looks like a church camping tent. Not a tent for one for sure. Clamping in England.
Awe your daughter sounds so adorable.Thats a good tent for your family. Make beautiful memories with your family most importantly.
Belgian hot chocolate.. Awesome... As a Belgian living in Sweden since a few months this literally warms my heart.
You can combine that with a tunnbrödsrulle my man.
This seems to be the family or hunting camp version of a modern tent! I sleep on that OneTigris cot almost every day outdoors for several hours. This is a fine cot!

I think you forgot that huge hand pump you could have used for the sleeping pad.
have a great day, great tent and other stuff, be safe and warm.
Hi. Love your videos and advice. You inspired me to buy my first hot tent…. Also new axe looks awesome.❤
Thank you! And thanks for the support. Much appreciated 👍🏻

"Daddy!... Have you seen any Owls?" aww that is just so beautiful. God bless you and your family. That made my day. 26:52
Your daughter sounded so sweet x
45:44 i love that warm glow that is a really hommy tent

Be well stay safe and take good care!
26:55 Whenever I'm working my wife and kids do the same thing. Especially my kids. I just can't say no to my kids. 👶🥰

Now that's a proper tent 2 thumbs up from America.
Congrats on buying the new apartment!
I wish a swift recovery for your family. and I must say great tent to bring family also. very cozy.
It’s a marquee Mike … hire the land out for weddings and get yourself a celebrant’s licence. ‘TA Weddings 😂❤
😂
It can be an all-in-one. Wedding, reception room, and honeymoon suite (small attendance, but doable). 😁
Get a mirrored disco ball.
Family is going to have fun this summer !
Great camp mate. Love your videos. Maybe you could have adapted that tent pump to blow your mat up. Looking forward to TA Tuesdays. 👍
i do enjoy watching you and Kent survival videos, thank you and God bless you

I just put this up in my backyard, I love living outside 💯🥰
My wife and I have one of the Panda air Medium tents and love it! We call it our "portable cabin," hahaha! Nice job!
I would love to see this tent used in heavy rain. I've always wanted to get one for a road trip but haven't seen anyone use it in rainy conditions. Love the videos man.
I can see this set up in your garden all spring for the kids to play in and maybe sleep outs with mom or dad or grandpa.
I feel like a distant cousin. To see the oldest go from baby, to walking and now hearing her chat, has me feeling ancient 🤣
Hi there alot of people put down a tarp first then place the tent onto the large tarp then put in pegs then add air and also extra mat or area rug for tent to give the people or person more comfort take care

I like your channel. I'm just seeing you for the first time. I love watching Andy on Kent survival.
TA Outdoors - Glamping at its best! Except the blowup pillow.
Sure it'll be great to have your family in a huge tent like that. Great video. Thank you.
The air space , would act as insulation !!! This tent would be very worm , with a stove going !!! 👍👍👍👍
Once I set up a tent the only time the mesh door is open is when I am going through the door. My tent is a bug free zone.
i went to add this tent to my amazon list and it was already in there. love it.

Yeah. For $1600, I could buy lumber and built something more permanent.
Perfect tent for a family of four.
Daughter call was awesome !

Awesome piece of kit there Mike, perfect for the family camps. See you at the show buddy. 🤙🏻🔥🙂
Used to go camping in the 1970s with big house tents like that.Bedrooms and kitchen area.Big cloth ones with metal poles. Huge tents.
Perfect for those windy days!
"Don't you know, pump it up, you've.... No it's to early." 😂😂
I've only ever used one inflatable tent, and that was in the 80s, was a 2-man dome style, and needed two boy scouts to re-inflate it every morning and evening. This one is much better!
Looks well cosy Mike ❤ 30:00
Ahhh how cool, i love hearing little British and Aussie kids talk- im from the southern states, i guess i have a southern draw (accent) .

I love all the new camping gear, now you need a rake that folds up to clean up the camp🤔
Look like luxury to me, very cool
I’d wondered about these inflatable tents, but this one sure looks a winner. Totally awesome camp. 👍🏻
It's almost a bounce house for camping!
9:55 the first thing that came to my mind was to use the zipper as an emergency urinal for when it rains, but then again you could always use a bottle
Thanks for the video and sharing Mike!
Awesome tent & perfect for a family. ❤ 😊
You are hanging out with a good crew.

That's not a tent, that's a portable cabin!! When Andy did it, I figured out the square footage; that tent us bigger than my home!!
I'll see you at the bushcraft fest mate! Booking my tickets today :D
See you there!
Certainly would not mind camping in one of these. Look at the quality!
I love all the equipment you have and really love the tent great scenery wonderful video.
Got my tickets for the bushcraft show for Christmas, really can’t wait. Looking forward to meeting yourself and a few others. Bring it on. Thank you
Keep up the good work Mike

Thank you. It was a very good review for this tent, so I'm going to put my order after I saw your review
I love the fire pit. I have a fold out small backpacking stove, but that one is the perfect size for a camp. 🎸🔪
5:27 "It is literally like an inflatable house."
I grew up in a bungalow like that.
