  • I head out into the woods for a solo overnight camping trip in a hybrid floating tent bivi. The setup allows you to either camp on the ground in tent or bivi mode, or turn it into hammock mode and swing between the trees!

    I like the bivi option, with that air pad it'd be too noisy for my taste. I have an Amok hammock which requires an air pad and it wakes me up every time i move. I ended up making a custom over for the pad from a bed sheet. It helps, but not perfect. Thanks for the video and I'm glad you're doing better.

  • @awkwerdcreations408
    @awkwerdcreations408 Месяц назад +1

    Just at the part of the video where you are hanging the hammock, apologize if this was pointed out by yourself or another comment, but the straps around the trees should actually be a little different. You want the part you are hooking the hammock to to be as straight as you can. Then all the weight is along the tree and not just on the one look. I know its counter intuitive when you are familiar with basically any other knot, but it also makes a lot of sense once you learn it. Great videos either way, I tend to binge them while sitting at my desk, working from home!

My choices are down to pretty much this model and one other (Lawson Blue Ridge), and both of them are described as being heavier than other small shelters, like the Bivy tent that I just bought. How did you find your back after sleeping in the hammock?
    I have a Hennessy Hammock that you can use as a bivi, doesn't have rods but easy enough to find a stick or use a bike.
    I like sleeping on hard surfaces and find the curve when used as a hammock gives me a bad back. apparently if you sleep on a diagonal, corner to corner, it means your back is straighter. I still get a stiff back from it though.
    Have bought a snugpak instead.
