Hot DANG. That is not a shelter. That is a bunker. It is extremely well constructed. While watching I was trying to think of ways to ease the carrying of tools, stone, and timber. Still made my back hurt. If I were only 50 or even 40 years younger. ............. Good job.
I can now say that I've watched Superman build a stone and log house. I don't know how you found the energy, but the build is just incredible. Amazing job!
Hi from Montreal, it's incredible how much work and courage, not counting energy it took to build your cabin. GREAT WORK and VIDEO, My wife Louise and I enjoy nature, and we passed years of our lives camping. Louise recently passed away.,but the memories remain. I miss her so much. Enjoy your life and stay healthy. Take care. Signed Jim. 🏚
Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, building stone shelter isn’t easy and requires a lot of work and patience. RIP Louise! She would have been a good partner to you.
Greetings from Argentina! I loved how the shelter turned out. The only thing missing to add the final touch to the video a was a dinner and sleeping inside the shelter. Aside from that, excellent job.
I feel the same way but bad weather prompted me to leave early. There was a snowstorm. Moreover, I was running low on food stuffs because most of it had been stolen by squirrels. Anyway, thanks for watching.
USA. Good job on the sturdy construction of the cabin. The hard work is done and easily improved with a bit of heat and light, and one could pass the winter in nature 👍
To minimise the use of stones in the wall. Since those stones were eroded and not perfect for building walls, I turned to use those logs already cut and laid there.
В середину стены горизонтально можно класть трубы ПВХ прямо друг на друга. В зависимости от толщины стены трубы можно класть и 50 и 100 мм в диаметре. Чтобы в середине стены был воздух. Стена будет намного теплее
I am in the US, Great Lakes region, and I just watched this video. What a great build. Can you share where this was? And I'm curious where you learned your shelter building skills and your survival techniques? Thank you and I will keep watching.
I'm subscribed and watching from Washington State in the Pacific Northwest of America. When I saw you digging your trenches, I thought, "oh good. This guy means business"! This was interesting and great fun! Thank you so much.
Thanks for subscribing and watching my friend. I was as interested in building this stone cabin as you were interested in watching it. Carrying out such projects in remote places always fascinates me.
Talk about a master mason with incredible balance and limber, too. I'm an amputee: left leg, below knee and my balance is... well, it is what it is. I envy you, buddy. Two thumbs up and hats off to you. 👍Great video and yes, relaxing, too.
I am exhausted just watching this guy doing all this heavy lifting and mixing dirt as cement to hold all those small and large stones together. It looks like it's going to be a great looking shelter when it's finished
Nice idea of construction. I ask you why you left the bark on the trunks, why you didn't build a stove to warm yourself and windows on the sides, why you made a flat roof that accumulates the weight of all the snow that falls. Thanks from Italy
I’ll have to second this. Originally, I planned to have a slope roof but because of snowstorm and vicious weather, I turned to flat roof and left. I didn’t want to be trapped in the snow for long stretches without food stuffs.
I made a fireplace in one of the corners of the stone house but couldn’t get time to film it due to unexpected heavy snowfalls and my early out of the area.
Was this stone walled cabin very warm in the sun? I was in a stone walled house once and it was as cold as a refrigerator. It was a big house and took a long time to warm up. A hole month to be exact with gas heaters. I think those was were 3 feet thick walls made of stone. Looks like the door hinge pins should be on the inside for security, but you aren't worried about that anyway. You could just cover them up with some 1 by 1. Oh the door opens outward, so you can't do that... Great job on creating a cabin though. It seems nice for a survival place...
Great job, but why no firepit inside and why did you keep the bark on the trees? Also I would have liked to see how you get the treestumps up all at your own. Take care
My son and I are going to hit our local mountains here soon to find our spot for a little cabin. Just not sure if it will be free standing, or dug into the side of a hill/ mountain or just a Fallin tree. But should be fun and experience for my son. Creating something from what nature left laying around for you.

Beautiful Stone and Wood Cabin, Shelter. A few more thins added and it would make an awesome place to live, or visit for a season. I love the sound of the water. Thank you for not playing music, natural sounds are the best
USA here and i love the fact you are letting the natural sounds be the background instead of annoying music. Great work on the shelter!
Thank you very much!

Thanks for watching.
Была выполнена огромная и тяжёлая работа, поэтому это каменное жилище заслуживает больше видео.
Ce qui est remarquable de cette superbe construction de cabane c'est qu'elle s'est faite sans un bruit moteur !!! ❤
You did a great job on your stone - wood cabin! You're an amazing person! God bless you! Cheers!
Thanks, you too!
Debarking, he forgot, keeps the wood from rotting and bugs. Nice thick walls, with small fire should keep him nice and warm during the winter months.
Fireplace was there but I couldn’t show it properly in the video.
@@thinkwildernessBeautiful work, love the rocks ❤🎉
@@thinkwilderness Final shot should have been from a distance with smoke coming from the chimney.
This guy deserves a SPECIAL AWARD for his Stone House.
❤😢
Why?
He gets a thumbs up from me 👍
Stone retains heat and insulates. Thumbs up from me.
👍👍
Love the fact that your letting natural sounds and not annouyimg music for bac ground noise ur build is amazing brother well done.
Thank you so much 👍
The snow makes it so beautiful and matutal it adds to it i think
Absolutely love the way you did the stone work and the use of the giant logs. Going to be a beautiful cabin when all done. Great job.
Awesome, thank you!

2:21 Crazy how pounding that stake shook the camera so much. Even dropping rocks down shakes it.
I am from Canada. You did a great job by yourself, caring all those stones and cutting the tree. With only hand tools.
Thanks and welcome
You Canadian and can't recognize chainsaw cuts?
Крутой , каменный домик. Очень много работы
Incredible. This house will still be standing 2 or 300 years from now. Very nice build!
24 months to three centuries sounds right

I was thinking same thing. Sure it wasn't easy being by himself

Thanks for watching. It was a challenge to build this stone house deep in a remote forest.
USA. Good job on the sturdy construction of the cabin. The hard work is done and easily improved with a bit of heat and light, and one could pass the winter in nature 👍
Thanks for watching my friend. That’s the plan and the winter will be great there.
Looks good, can someone tell me the purpose of upright logs in the walls.
To minimise the use of stones in the wall. Since those stones were eroded and not perfect for building walls, I turned to use those logs already cut and laid there.
WOW, that is quite the accomplishment, WELL DONE…from USA, east Tennessee.

At the age of ten I used to build stone shelters and learned the techniques. It was what I loved. Thanks for watching and appreciation. Stay blessed 🥲
Germany. I love the stone walls! The roof looks sterdy but a gable roof has it's advantages. Place also needs a fireplace 🙂
Thanks for your valuable inputs. This stone house actually has a fireplace but unfortunately I couldn’t film it properly and show it in the video.
Romania ...I have never seen this way of construction. Interesting.
Thanks for watching. It’s centuries old way of building shelters and houses.

Thanks for watching my friend. Yeah, I was lucky enough to complete most of the work before the snowstorm hit. Some of the work is yet to be finished.
how does the clay hold when wet?
It worked somehow for me but it lacked cohesion.
