    Beautiful classic coach. Take her out for a drive and get to know her better. You're doing this classy lady a disservice by not being very knowledgeable about her. Make sure this MCI goes to a good home, she is VERY rare in such good condition with those miles: these are 3 million mile coaches. They don't build them like this anymore. If this was on my lot I'd hold on to it...

    • @gregsimpson621
      @gregsimpson621 6 лет назад +3

      Henry Thomas Perfectly said! The motor sounds sweet and clean. Tons of new batteries. Someone put their heart and soul into this but the presentation does this elegant MCI a complete and total disservice. "This looks nice but I don't know what it is". If he had spent just one day on researching MCI's and another on going through this beauty, he could have offered an excellent presentation. If he doesn't care to check things out, they obviously don't care about the next owner.

    • @totalsalessolutions

      This is a video demo of someone else's coach not a dissertation on its inner workings. That much is obvious to most people.

    • @rocnnrollbus
      @rocnnrollbus 5 лет назад

      @@totalsalessolutions it is obvious to me as well, but it still stands better with any potential buyers, esp those of us that know buses that whoever speaks about this coach should be knowledgeable about some of the features. Being knowledgeable protects both YOU and the potential buyer. You are sitting on a 27 year old motorcoach that could net you some serious dough. Buries an overpriced, overhyped Prevost of the same year any day of the week.

    • @gregsimpson621
      @gregsimpson621 6 лет назад +4

      Stelian Nistor The actual owner may be asking $200,000. But I'm sure if you could provide actual MCI coaches around this same year, same motor, transmission, and in the same condition, you might get her for $90,000. Maybe a $120,000 if one provided a limited 30 day warranty. The prices vary widely depending on location and consumer demand. An MCI with absolutely nothing done to it, with the 450 diesel motor paired with the Allison transmission and integrated diesel generator is itself worth $50,000 to $75,000 when it only has a little over 100,000 miles on it. This baby isn't even broken in yet. Or you can spend $75,000 on a new Ford or Chevy diesel pickup. It's a personal choice. The previous owner remodeled this particular one per his own personal preferences. I would change a few things. But he utilized high end materials and not cheap crap. The black tile shower trimmed in gold to include a black commode. High end leather furniture that will never need replaced. If you don't like black, leather furniture or good quality is easily changed to whatever your heart desires. If I've read this post/video correctly, the dealership is selling this for an individual and probably working on a flat commission. If the owner wants to sell quickly, he can lower his price. And I have no doubt that the dealership would also be willing to lower their commission to assist on the final sale. A purchase like this is like purchasing a house. The owner always starts out high and the buyer is always looking for the best bargain. But when you find the home that you LOVE, price is secondary, as long as it's within your price range.

    I will guarantee you, the negative comments about the presenters RV knowledge are from those who can't afford this RV. Period. If you are really the kind of person than can afford this RV, you look at the coach, you know your stuff, and you evaluate what you see. You can assume the switches all have a purpose, so you don't need to know really what they do EXACTLY. The coach is a first class coach with a famous awesome Detroit engine, its obviously well made. If you are a well made successful person, you don't worry about the little details about what this guy knows exactly, you call him up and ask him some questions. If you have the means to purchase this, you make a call or two, do some internet research, get on a plane and fly there to check it out. If you are broke, you comment on this guy, who seems to be doing an honest job (he tells you what he doesn't know and doesn't BS you), instead of doing what a real qualified buyer would do. It's really easy to see who you are by the comments you make.

      totalsalessolutions Hey, chill man. Yes, your suppose to be doing someone a favor. And when someone does someone a favor, you should or could at least act a little more enthusiastic. Especially if you like the individual your doing the favor for. It just comes across that "yes, this is a very nice MCI, low mileage, and cabinets are all lite." Just embellish on what you already said, like "it has a full residential refrigerator, plenty of new battery storage which are charged with your diesel generator that is hooked directly up to your main diesel tank. With this generator and a dozen batteries, you don't ever have to use propane! Throw a 500 watt solar system on the roof and you can start living a little more off the grid. The motor, transmission, tires, and air brakes are like new. This is one MCI that is ready to hit the road! She's going to go fast so if your in the market for a MCI RV conversion, I'd certainly be putting this one on your list. We just got her in and to be honest, haven't had time to check every little detail out. But I guarantee we WILL make it right. :)

      If you really want to know then look up the specifications from the coachbuilder yourself bud.
      Dan is just providing a basic walkaround and video tour, he's not got time to look at what everything does.
      If you want to go look yourself or find another video with the same coach with somebody who does know then fair play to you.
      They sell these coaches on Ebay as they sit, it's up to the buyer to research themselves.

      Opinion Matters I think your comment is "spot on"! I too, initially, was perhaps too critical. This isn't a full fledged RV only dealership. He actually did do an excellent job showing the critical aspects of a MCI. Motor size & condition. Paired with the Allison transmission. The diesel generator. Tank size, extremely low mileage, actually running while making the video, etc. That baby purrs sweetly!

      Trying to be a business that sells RVs, you should be knowledgeable on the subject. Whomever buys this will have no history on the vehicle, knowledge of the electrical system layout or anything.

    • @Samspianopage
      @Samspianopage 5 лет назад

      @@achimhake7998 True.
      But I wouldn't be soo sure about a person not having any know-how of RV's or the electrical system.
      What I would suggest is, there's manuals for everything the coach has on it.
      Put it this way, if I were buying an RV (which I'm not I can't drive LOL), no matter how much an RV technician goes over things, I'm the type of fella who'd still like to skim the manuals for the major systems on it to learn for myself how they work because I'm not gonna remember in an hour or 2's demonstration.
      If I was spending that kind of money, the most important thing I'd like to know is, that everything is basically working the way it aught to be, and if there's any niggles I can take care of them down the road. It always amazes me how many folk buy these things and don't bother to look into what they actually bought, fair do's they want to use the thing but atleast have a good look around the whole thing and get to know it abit y'know what I mean?
      Then I can learn about what all the do-dad's are for.
      Yes Dan doesn't seem to know as much as he really should do when making this video, though they're not a big outfit, they're kind of a small dealer that sells RV's kind of wholesale, and accept offers and stuff but they've not got a big service station or fancy shopping facilities, all of which adds up overhead wise on a big dealership which is passed along to us when we buy an RV.
      They're kind of a side of the road thing, they buy and sell things like a market stall.
      OK not quite but y'know roughly what I mean.
      It's just 2 guys selling motorhomes, and they've done their initial inspection to verify the major things are fine and usually there's make long trips reliably so that's something atleast.
      Put it like this, there are people who will offer for this type of thing, who can get more info if needed, and who're willing to take on the risk of buying one without all the big dealer overheads if they can save a bit of money and chances are if somebody was looking for a coach like this, they'd probably know alot about it already they've probably done research themselves if they wanted a coach of this caliber.
      Some people don't like the glitzy big RV places that pamper you and offer you the whole package if they don't actually need all that stuff and are handy or maybe have owned one before.
      They just want a decent quality coach as is to use, and if something needs fixed, well you can always take it to somebody else, alot of used RV's in big dealers have major problems I'd bet, and not all of em are up front about them either.
      But again I agree with you that this is abit vague in the details he should've checked about more thouroughly what he was selling, I think him and his dad have got abit better at it by now this is an older video.
      Cheers.
