The RTS is a vastly underappreciated bus. Composite body, stainless steel frame, and built for hard city use. His coachbuilder did an outstanding job. That front door is awesome. It looks like it was built with it from the factory.
What a stunning coach. Beautiful inside and out. Thank you for showing us, and thanks to the owner for sharing his experience. Definitely one of a kind, and absolutely beautiful.
I will know for sure if we ever cross paths. I do have that TV rig in mine. Not too hard or expensive. I bet folks see it and say Prince isn't dead, he went RVing!!
I have never slept in a bus let alone owned one but this coach inner desing and the way the rooms are layed out seems to me like an absolutly PERFECT place to live in. Beautiful!
OMG this is amazing. The first indication we didn't have an average bus was electric shades in the windshield. Then more and more and more. "Rainfall shower with built in lighting" - many would dream of this in their house! Very very nice. Much more than a purple bus. Must have cost a fortune, but look at the results.
Oh, this is a great looking coach. Very nicely done. Love the one piece front door. These have always been a well styled bus. When GM decides to do styling right, they get it fantastically right! Style wise, these buses were decades ahead of their time.
Started not liking the purple but the bus is so nicely laid out and of such high quality. It won me over. It’s the best conversion I’ve seen on the channel.
What a beautiful conversion I really love it and the colour is as he says very calming and love the hide away television who would have known that was there Best wishes from Derrick in Wales UK
Wowsers - even his broom was lavender/purple! The workmanship on this bus is really, really impressive. Like the color or not the caliber of the build is really impressive.
I'm not a huge fan of purple, but I could definitely see myself in that bus on some really long trips. That is super sharp. And my wife loves Prince so she would probably be an easy sell
Ever since a kid touring Lake Buena Vista and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, I have been in LOVE with RTS Bus!!! Ashamed they don't have them anymore:(
Nice bus RTS busses are great for converting roughly 6' 10" head room 102" wide typically the same running gear as a hwy bus maybe a different gear set up But bullet proof if I ever build another one I'll do one Scott ask him where he got the TV lift I've been looking for one for years I saw the drive video yeah that wheel has seen better days . Thanks for sharing.
Fabulous conversion.....the color is awesome! The fact that the RTS is contoured makes it all the more unique over all the other boxes on the road. Very European modern interior! Flawless in design and execution....one of the nicest conversion s I've ever seen...(nice to see an RTS find a new life. The MTA snapped most of ours....)
I remember the place I grew up had these RTS buses, until the late 90s. Disney World also had a fleet of these, with the last one being retired in 2010.
That's a fantastic bus, nice layout, BIG bathroom.. And he'll never not be able to find it! Though IMHO there's a little too much purple, but personal tastes and all that. Way cool bus that looks like a really nice place to be!
my first car was a 59 beetle, i painted it the stock black with the doors and quarters in light ivory. Whenever people asked me for a ride, not knowing what i drive, i would just tell them to stand next to my car when i leave, they always stood next to the right car!
I heard him just fine, but that is not a bad idea. Other than wireless mics and having to mix audio, he might have been louder if he had been in front of the camera during the tour, but I think it came out okay with the camera leading the owner-narrator through the tour.
I love it not just because it's an RTS bus with 6V71 and ZF transmission, but because it reminds me of a starship on wheels decked out like that. Something from my fantasies. Looks very secure and ultra comfortable. A living dream.
I drove them when I was a transit bus driver from 1988-2010 and we called them "RTS" rolling ton of sh!! They were hot in the front in the summer because of the front windshields generating the amount of heat in the winter, they were good for the winter because of the heat, they had 6v92t motors which were turned down to 50 mph and you were lucky to get 47 mph and 15-18 up any small hill, put the AC on you had to turn it off to go up a hill (after a lot of operators got tickets because they couldn't get it uphill, they turned them up and eventually they changed the blocking sheet so certain routes were no longer given a RTS so they could get up the hills with the bus)
Great looking coach! Here in Canada, the RTS didn't fly, so GMDD came up with the GMC Classic which eventually replaced the New Look. GMDD produced the Classic until 1992 when it was taken over by MCI. In 1997, MCI became NovaBus, which produces their products out of the same former GMDD plant just outside of Montreal
That bus looks very comfortable. It’s wide and roomy. I can remember riding these on public transit and always thought how hard they rode and all the remember all the rattles. The conversion company did an excellent job. That bathroom is nicer than the ones in some homes.....so much headroom. Paradise Coach nice!

It's like the DeLorean of buses!

Lol 😆 I was just saying that 🤣
Purple Rain, purple rain. Great song. Good name for this bus too.
Purple Haze. Beautiful bus. Thanks for the tour....just a slight note..a second mic would have been goods we could hear what the owner had to say.
I have never slept in a bus let alone owned one but this coach inner desing and the way the rooms are layed out seems to me like an absolutly PERFECT place to live in.
Beautiful!

Were designed in the late 60s!

Nice bus, one of a kind for sure!
I was just thinking after the last video with this bus “I wish we could have seen the inside!” 😀
Wowsers - even his broom was lavender/purple! The workmanship on this bus is really, really impressive. Like the color or not the caliber of the build is really impressive.
That is the most astonishing bus conversion I have ever seen. I love every aspect of it including the colour!
That bus is sick.
I didn't even know such an RTS conversion existed. Love the color so much.
All I can say is WOW!! Never would have thought a city bus could look like this. Somebody spent some serious coin $$$
Yeah really - a city bus. Who would know?
I'm not a huge fan of purple, but I could definitely see myself in that bus on some really long trips. That is super sharp.
And my wife loves Prince so she would probably be an easy sell
Ever since a kid touring Lake Buena Vista and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, I have been in LOVE with RTS Bus!!! Ashamed they don't have them anymore:(
Never change bro. Ride that purple bus. Sweet coach.
This is sooooo awesome man Pinky from Friday would be proud!
I'm not a fan of purple but the quality and craftsmanship of that conversion is WOW. Thanks to both of you for the tour.
I'm a fan of purple now!
I like purple, but it’s just too much, needs some kind of stripe to break it up.

I love this RV! I initially Saw this on Instagram first but it looks even better on this RUclips video. Thanks for sharing!
Really nice conversion but you need a guest microphone we can't here him for the most part
I heard him just fine, but that is not a bad idea. Other than wireless mics and having to mix audio, he might have been louder if he had been in front of the camera during the tour, but I think it came out okay with the camera leading the owner-narrator through the tour.
He is properly cool dude, so his bus is too. ✌️
I love it not just because it's an RTS bus with 6V71 and ZF transmission, but because it reminds me of a starship on wheels decked out like that. Something from my fantasies.
Looks very secure and ultra comfortable. A living dream.
Epic color!
Love the front bumper...almost looks aerodynamic!
Bend in the wheel is from the former bus driver in the city! Rage at work!
That is one gorgeous bus! First rate conversion for sure, definitely all the creature comforts and then some!
Man, what a nice way to live or spend time. Beautiful !
Great vid guys. We love that bus… and Malcolm. Lookin good!
The color is my favorite and looks amazing this is how I want my tiny home awesome job 👏🏾
Now that's a kewl ass bus! Well thought out, well designed. I don't like purple, but this bus makes it look damn good!
Beautiful conversion! I remember the RTS in NYC!!!!
Wow. That is an amazing conversion. Well done to the owner, he’s got a masterpiece.
I was waiting for Xzibet (of pimp my ride fame) to peek in the door while you were showing it! Such a sweet bus!
That's a beautiful bus! I like this conversation
Absolutamente fantástico, felicitaciones!! Saludos desde Zarcero, Costa Rica!!

Wtf?! The cops gave a bus operator a ticket because the bus couldn’t make it up the hill?! How’s that the operators fault?
That is a really nice conversion and one I would of never expected in a transit bus
Love this bus conversion! Nice fellow too!
That is one fine bus, I know he is proud!
No carpet, yay! Nice and clean! The purple is actually quite nice, I'd take that bus!
Beautiful bus. That's a crazy build
When I started driving public transit in Los Angeles (RTD) in 1987 we drove 1981 RTS II,s I loved the coaches.!!!!
Great looking coach! Here in Canada, the RTS didn't fly, so GMDD came up with the GMC Classic which eventually replaced the New Look. Respect, a really great Bus!
Wow that bus is epic !
Prince would love it!
I'm happy to hear the bent steering wheel will be corrected. An awesome purple bus needs a perfect steering wheel. All is good! Carry on!
Wow! That thing is definitely purple lol....and really nice!
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿This is OUTSTANDING and my favorite color💜
P RAIN💜💜💜
This is an awesome conversion.
I learned to drive a full sized bus in an RTS. This kind of conversion is SOOOO like what I would love to have in a rig.
Top notch great to see this custom job

That bus looks very comfortable. It’s wide and roomy. I can remember riding these on public transit and always thought how hard they rode and all the remember all the rattles. The conversion company did an excellent job. That bathroom is nicer than the ones in some homes.....so much headroom.
