I love this coach I use to drive MCI for Shortline and this one is really nice. I have had several conversions none have been as nice as this one and I have bought some new coach's that did not have the style or regal appearance that this one does. I bet many people have tried to buy it. That is one special coach and I bet you could never find one better. I use to drive a V6 in several of the MCI buses that I drove for Shortline I love the V6 it had a lot of power and did not suck the diesel down like some the v8 ones did. Great job on the conversion if you did this yourself you need to start doing it for others and getting paid for it this one is great.
That is really awesome that you were a MCI driver for a career :) Thank you, and yes this coach left California and is now living in Florida. I just uploaded a new video of a truly remarkable MCI coach... Be sure to check it out and let me know what your think :) ruclips.net/video/CZxaKVXuSK4/видео.html
I'm a hot rod fabricator by trade and use to build custom diesel Toyota Land Cruisers... I have a lot of really fun projects that I will be show casing on this channel... Thank you for your support and enthusiasm :)
I drove commercial tour bus and got a new '83 MC9 just before Christmas that year. It was beautiful, chrome wheel covers, jake brake, air step, high end interior...Travelled all over NA for two years then it was traded off...for years I've wondered were it is now...hope it ended up like this one. Coaches of this age typically have over 3 million miles on them..imagine if they could tell the stories of all the places and people they've seen.
Not only cookie cutter but made from sticks and Staples. I would own ANY run of the mill RV whether it's a travel trailer, fifth wheel, class A or C even if you tried to give it to me Lol
Nice looking bus alright, but what kind of shape is she mechanically? What kind of generator does it have, how are the tires, will she hold her air overnight, will it pass a DOT inspection, how’s the air brake system?
Do you or know of anyone selling a 1962/65 GM 4106 conversion?. I love how the coaches entry and driver's cockpit has retained the original factory layout and OEM parts, awesome seat for comfortable travel, great touch.
No problem and thank you... The coaches I have listed on this channel have all belonged to members of “The Bus Nuts” and are friends of mine.. Most of these friends of mine are in their 80’s and just asked if I could help them get their coaches online...
Northern California. Redding, California to be precise... Message me anytime if you have more questions or would like to come see it: Oymcustoms@gmail.com
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this an Ex Greyhound lines Bus because I see the name plate between the amber headlights they order thousands and thousands of those MCI and TMC MC9 Crusader ii Coaches from 1978-90 when it started the Production back then
1983 was a strike year at Greyhound and believe it is the only year that they didn't buy new buses. I've seen the bus rosters from the 80's and 90's and plenty 80, 81, 82 and 84 MC9s but not a single 83.
Love the way you have done your bus
Thank you for your support!! This coach was built by a retired bus tech out of Redding, California... It now lives in Florida :)
I drove it, it's the top of the line, maintained and owned by a retired Greyhound mechanic
I'm glad you got a chance to check it out before she relocated to Florida :)

I love the GREYHOUND letters left on Bus. I enjoyed this video. I paid this much for classic coach too. Good luck with the sale.

I'm French Australian and this is really nice. I'd love to live this kind of life at some point in time.
That exhaust fan is Fantastic.
If I had the money to buy one of these, I would have to keep the original loading door configuration just like this one.
I agree!! I like the mechanics of the original door too!!
A lovely bus and reasonably priced
Very Nice
AWESOME...😀 Thank you for the tour. 😎
This is a beautiful bus. Much nicer than many of the brand new ones. it had character and class. Thanks for the tour.
Tnkw..smac
Nice home
Built like a tank, nice coach.
MCI built the best quality buses on the road. Solid and built to last.
That is a Beautiful Coach.
Beautiful! An escape from the cookie cutter world of RVs!
Not only cookie cutter but made from sticks and Staples. I would own ANY run of the mill RV whether it's a travel trailer, fifth wheel, class A or C even if you tried to give it to me Lol
Drooling....
Beautiful
Very nicely done .. love it !!
Very nice job. I like it
It's a 8V71 Naturally Aspirated Detroit Diesel engine with the HT740 Allison Transmission

Inside ? Nice for what it is.😁
Nice looking bus alright, but what kind of shape is she mechanically? What kind of generator does it have, how are the tires, will she hold her air overnight, will it pass a DOT inspection, how’s the air brake system?
Beautiful, pity it’s not RH drive, it would be worth $150 to 250K.

Not currently but I’ll keep you posted if I do...
@@MRGarsioni Thank you for the reply. Great coach by the way 👍. Do you sell coaches professionally ? If so do you have a web address.

I have the same bus but my rims look like shit! Are yours just hub cap covers or is the chrome actual rims?
these are just stainless caps...
True classic design ! Now, where's the flat screen ?
It’s at the front of the coach over the passenger windshield...
Forget flat screen TV! Christ! It's a 1983 bus !😁
You did a nice job but that one a/c unit is going to get worked to death in the summer. Another one could always be added later.
I believe I saw a second one in the bedroom.
What state is it in? That is a nice clean MCI. Wife and I are in the market right now too

Where did the wheel simulators come from?
I’m not entirely sure… I’m sure you can source them online…
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this an Ex Greyhound lines Bus because I see the name plate between the amber headlights they order thousands and thousands of those MCI and TMC MC9 Crusader ii Coaches from 1978-90 when it started the Production back then
It was not a Grey Hound coach even though it has the emblem... it was purchased by another company which the owner knows the full history of...
Most Greyhound MC9s had connections for shore power and HVAC under the driver's side window. This coach does not. I'm just backing up Josh's response.

Wish I had one but I don't drive
Nice bus l like it
but l wonder no front seat
The trick is to put the front seat so far back that you can no longer hear what the other person is saying lol!! Thank you :)
