  • Yeah, my uploads have been rather slow lately. Haven't had much time to think about what to upload here, but they'll pick up again in due time.
Until then, here's something that aired on Buzzr yesterday. What makes this episode interesting is not just Monty's original partners appearing for the 4600th LMAD in history, but also the fact that for a very long time, this was thought to be the finale of this run (it wasn't).
All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. If there are any issues, please tell me so and I will comply as best I could.

I watched the 70s & all versions of lmad w/ Monty Hall & reruns on USA network & I don't even remember seeing this episode in any of the rerun rotations‼️

concurs, it's nice, to see Jay Stewart and, Carol Merrill, again. Gee, she looks, even better, than how lovely she was, in the '70s. Oh. and, I like what Carrie would have gotten, instead of $700.

Carol Merrill should be in the Guinness Book of world records for changing outfits after every commercial during her 14 years on the original show

Supposedly, 4600 episdoes were taped up til 1986. When I added all episodes listed on wikipedia, it's far below 4600

Counting the NBC run, 1964-68, ABC from 1968-76, the Las Vegas year from 1976-77, the Canadian 1980-81 version, and this 1983-86 version. Don't forget the first run syndicated once a week nighttime version, from 1969-1976(?). I wouldn't know where to begin the count.

Wendell Niles was actually the original announcer of LMAD. Jay Stewart replaced him in 1964.

Wrong. Wendell only announced the pilot. Jay Stewart was there from the premiere until the end of the original version.

At least, we will hear some of what Jay Stewart was busy with at the time this Monday, 8/31 when BUZZR airs fresh episodes of 1986 Syndicated episodes of Sale of The Century. However, I hope BUZZR brings back the 70's Let's Make A Deal, including The Super Deal episodes.

@@mlubiarz Actually, the Models in the 80s Version (both Melanie and Karen) occasionally did dress up for some Zonks in the show. Examples include Melanie sometimes dressing up as a Farming Maid and Karen as the Innocent Little Girl with the Lollipop. The same went for Announcer Dean Goss, who took part in some hilarious Zonks.

There was a VCR tape I bought that showed a taping of a 1970s LMAD episode. It shows they had PA's (Production Assistants) changing Jay while he was announcing at his announce booth podium. Don't know if the video circulates.

Anyone get the feeling that Monty wasn't too pleased when Carol gave the contestant the money? Great to see both of them again, but don't you think it would have been nice to have them be on for more than two minutes?
