i’m looking at buying one with 130k do you have any idea how long the 2002 convertible turbo 9-3’s can last before they start falling apart if they are serviced decently well
With 130K, there definitely is potential for a lot of life left. I have a 1999 with 150,000 miles on it, and it has no major issues, nor any major rust. I definitely would recommend having it checked out, make sure there aren’t any terrible rattling sounds from the engine indicating imminent timing chain guide failure. Also, if you want it to be perfect cosmetically, you’d best find one that is as cosmetically well as you can afford, some bits and pieces aren’t easy to come by, but most mechanical parts are. Hope this helps
@@sethsaylor760 We also got a 2002 Saab 2 months ago - first teen car - and the other day the steering wheel seized up and we could barely pull over safely. Found the serpentine belt dragging along on the ground. Is poor belt condition something that the mechanic who sold us the car should have noticed in the course of doing a basic safety check pre-sale? Hard to know if I should ask him to be responsible for fixing this or if it could not have been foreseen. Thanks for your advice. Singing the extremely-used car blues!
Those seats are definitely in great shape! Love the T7 cars, and hatches in general. Nice pick sir!
I was sold! Thank you, I already love it and way more than I expected, more to come on that!
I have a good spare hazard switch in a drawer from an ‘07 9-5. I believe it’s the same part number. I’d be happy to send it to you
Thank you, I’ll take a look at my stock pile first, and keep that in mind
