Can an owner shut off the stop/start ? Permanently? Or does it have to be undone each time you drive. I don’t think I could deal with the auto on/off system …. A deal breaker for me.

Correction: the headlight wipers started in '91, not '87. To answer your question, the five-speed transmission was introduced in 1981. The '79 and '80 900's were essentially still 99's, with a longer nose and a different dashboard.

For the 2012 model year got the 3.6 V6 not 2011 along with minor styling changes and different wheels. I had one a 2010 LS the car wasn't good. Just a smooth ride for long straight driving on the highway or streets. It turned sloppy and hard to park.

Removed these today and wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl. Your tutorial was spot on. Saab designers did a great job on the switches and connections. Should have done it years ago.

I still have my 1995 R129 that I am very fond of, also very complicated from it's 8 to 10 actuators that operate the convertable top to the earliest variable valve timing ignition system. Actually that's a Very Poor Saab model (possibly the very worst IMO) Even the later version 9-3 continues it's poor reputation. Owned one... costing thousands of $$$ in seemingly never ending repairs. You haven't lived until you've experienced the top opening on the highway. Yugos' were more trustworthy... Enjoy.

I have a 2010 Impala LT. One thing I do not really like is the absolutely terrible throttle lag these cars came with.
